My daughter and I had the most fabulous experience. Our host was exceptional in his knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed his company as he explained the 4 wines we were tasting and how different foods complimented each drink. I can thoroughly recommend this experience. One bit of advice though, line your stomach with food beforehand!

Great experience. Emmanuel was terrific. Very informative. Good wines. We’ve done wine experiences in many regions in our world travels. This was one of the best. We ended up staying at the restaurant afterwards for dinner. Great meal. Fully enjoyed everything about this experience.

The experience was pleasant and the host knowledgeable. We were asked if we could go earlier, which we managed. The venue wasn’t expecting us but accommodate us quickly. The venue wasn’t as described and not in a wine cellar. If we would have known it was in the back of a noisy restaurant we wouldn’t have booked as my partner is hard of hearing and the background noise was loud at times. As was the restaurants music.

This was a great introduction to Verona’s history and its history with wine. Diana was an excellent host, telling us about the wines and giving details on how they are made and what makes them unique to Verona. She also delved into the history of Verona.

The tour itself was great - our host was friendly and knowledgeable, and all of the wines and pairings were delicious. We did not know, however, that it was organized through a third party, who messaged us at midnight the night before that the meeting location was not the same as listed on Viator. We did not find this out until we were already at the original location and had WiFi, which resulted in us being 15 minutes late and missing the first tasting. Highly recommend Bacco (the wine bar), but would not recommend booking through Viator.

Intimate wine tasting with one other couple in a classic Osteria. We tasted 4 different wines and were given a sampling of cheese and meats. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day!

We booked this wine tasting as the description made it seem as though you could have a wine tasting in their wine cellar. However, when we arrived we were taken to the side of the restaurant, next to the road and were sort of left standing until our guide came over to introduce himself.
We were then poured 4 very small glasses of wine, and none of the bottles were left for us to see what we were drinking, and the guide himself wasn't too sure on which bottle it was. We were paired with a Brazilian couple, who were obviously very big wine drinkers, and they didn't seem very impressed with the small sampling. There was also a language barrier, and the description does say the tour can be in Italian and English, but then also says Spanish and English, so they did struggle to understand some parts.
We did get a lot out of this tasting, as we wanted to use this experience to sample some red wines, and even had an extra glass of a more expensive red to taste the difference (at an extra cost). We did come away with more knowledge, but as this was our first tour, we didn't have any expectations, but I would say that it would not be for people who have done several tastings.
Also, we were then shown the 'canteen', not cellar as advertised, which does not match any of the photos listed above. We were also informed that tastings only really happen down there when there are 10 people, not a choice as stated.
Overall, I did have a good time and our guide was great, but the description of the tasting definitely needs amending to what is actually offered.

Chiara was great. She was extremely knowledgeable on the wines, vineyard locations, and the wine making process. We learned a lot.
The setting was lacking. Our table, at a local restaurant (partners with the host), was, practically on the street. At least 15 times during the tasting the host was interrupted by engine noises traveling on the street.

We had our wine tasting with Midi. The bar we had the tasting in was really lovely with a nice outdoor terrace away from the busyness of the main square. The wine was very good with a good range and a generous helping of meat and cheeses. Midi was very chatty and kind, he sat and enjoyed the wine with us sharing his extensive knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and getting to know Midi, would recommend to anyone visiting Verona.

This was an excellent wine tasting with a great guide in a fun local restaurant. Would highly suggest this not only because all the other wine/vineyard tours require you to find your own transportation there (while this is walkable if staying in Verona) but it really was a hidden treasure!
