This was a super convenient way to visit a couple of wineries in Valpollicella without having to drive ourselves. Both wineries provided very good wine and light food, and provided interesting information about how the wine was produced. Our driver was great and provided a list of recommended restaurants in Verona to our group.

Itinerary

Meet the wine expert in Verona, explore the Valpolicella valleys and taste local wines like the famous Amarone and Ripasso in two traditional wineries of Valpolicella region. The wine experience will start with a visit to a fascinating and family-run winery located in the heart of Valpolicella.

Here, the winemaker will show you the wine cellar and tell you the secrets of the production. Then, you will enjoy a wine tasting, including the great Amarone, paired with some local products.

After taking some stunning pictures of the cellar and vineyards you will depart to reach the second winery where you will have more tastings and compare the aromas of the wines. Here, the winemaker will welcome you telling the story of the family-run business and its value for the territory.

Finally, you’ll understand why Verona is the wine capital of Italy: an incredible territory made of small and high quality winemakers who produce an amazing product with passion.

This wine tasting tour was fantastic! We visited two small wineries and had tours with our guide and by a staff or owner of each winery. Our tour guide provided interesting history of the area and each winery, and the winery personnel shared personal stories and more in-depth history of their own winery. We appreciate that the wineries were small and we were the only group there. It was a very personal experience. I highly recommend this activity!

We had a great experience! You could tell our guide and the wineries we visited were very passionate about their wine and region! We loved the natural methods the wineries use in their vineyards and we could really taste the difference. And even though our tour was later in the day and right before Christmas, we weren’t rushed but instead encouraged to take our time and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Would recommend this tour to anyone who is wanting to visit authentic wineries of the Valpolicella wine region.

This is a super tour o visit two very different wine makers. Both produce outstanding wine and are really very different. The welcome and warmth received from Sophie at the first vineyard was more than I would have expected from a short visit, what a warm welcome, your passion is clear in your excellent wines. The second a large Vineyard, was also welcoming, more business like but very much appreciated nonetheless. Stefano our guide and driver for the afternoon was punctual, pleasant and informative and a superb driver as well. I recommend this tour, Stefano is a knowledgeable friendly guide and Nicholis winery was a lovely treat. Barbra at Borghetti wines is a truly inspirational lady. This is a lovely excursion and highly recommended

Alessandra brought us to two small family owned wineries. On the way she gave us some facts about the area and the wine. We were able to see the process of wine making and taste many local wines and enjoyed some snacks. But the best part was the passion that was evident at each winery. They take great pride in their wines. After the tastings Alessandra was kind enough to give us a recommendation for dinner which also turned out to be great. I would highly recommend this tour.

This experience was amazing!! It was small group, our guide was personable and knowledgeable, and the ride felt safe and comfortable. The two wineries were perfect compliments to each other, with the first focusing on the production of the wine and a tasting with a gorgeous view of the countryside, and the second winery we were out in the field a bit with the tasting in a beautiful wine cellar. I would, without a doubt, do this tour again and recommend it to family/friends.

Excellent tour of two wineries and a quick stop in a vineyard prior to the first visit. Guide helped us understand the two main growing methods and a bit about the three types of grapes before we arrived at the first winery. The two wineries had fantastic wine. We shipped 6 bottles back to the US. Definitely worth the price!!!
