I recently enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting experience in Verona, hosted by Bruno at his cozy and well-stocked wine shop, Enotica Baraldi, just steps from the Verona Arena. It was a perfect mix of local culture, expertly selected wines, and genuine hospitality.
The tasting included four wines — one white and three reds — with the highlight being a rich and beautifully crafted Amarone DOCG. Each wine was paired perfectly with quality meats and cheeses, making the experience both flavorful and educational. Bruno was an excellent host: warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about regional wines and their production.
There was a small hiccup at the start: I was mistakenly directed by Viator to another location — their second shop, which is about a 20-minute walk away, near the scenic viewpoint. Thankfully, Bruno’s sister was at that location. She was very helpful, called Bruno right away, and made sure I got to the correct place without any issues.
Despite the initial confusion, the experience was outstanding and well worth it. I highly recommend this tasting to anyone visiting Verona and looking to discover authentic local wines in a friendly, relaxed setting.

Clients deserve better for a $40 PP wine tasting, The host should NOT Be waiting on other customers during a wine tasting. I never had this happen before. The owner should be ashamed to put the employee in this position. EITHER close the shop to host wine tastings OR don't do it. VIATOR should warn their customers what to expect. I was SO embarrassed that I took my friends here!

Do not try this tour. Operator will make phone call and cancel booking but still charge you. They will lie when you try to correct.

Dear sir, unfortunately the only liar and NOT honest person , is you. You booked this tour . You never showed up! The sommelier and the other 3 guests waited for you. Nothing . No calls no text through VIATOR ( your supplier). 10 days after you asked for a refund saying that the tour was not operated! Which is absolutely NOT true! And you know that! VIATOR ANALYZED YOUR REQUEST AND VERIFIED THAT THE TOUR OPERATED, AND SIMPLY REJECTED YOUR REQUEST . This is not a good behavior. You could simply be honest and said you forgot about your booking, and for sure they would have helped you!!

Really fun and learning full to learn more about the great wines in the region and we tried some really good wines also. We recommend it! The tour operator was very well informed. The wine was good, some on the expensive side and one everyday wine. A brief history of different local styles was included. The cured meat was really good, too. Although this is a wine shop, there was no pressure to buy. It is a pleasant way to taste few local wines when short on time.

A great wine tasting time. The girl went out of her way to providing a great experience after not being pass on the booking details from Viator. It was only by chance she was walking past the shop and seen us waiting, or we would still be waiting now, this despite Viator saying everything was booked and receiving updates.
Once again a great experience after the wait!

Tried 1 white wine , and 4 red wines , each wine I tasted was excellent ( not normally a fan of red wines ) , also had some local food with the local wines
Bruno explained which food goes with each wine , and which area they come from
Bruno has a passion for wine , and his family own 4 different shops around the area
You have a chance to buy the wines you have tasted , along with the hundreds of different wines in his shop
If you like wine , I would recommend doing this wine tasting tour during your stay in Verona

First class experience - Bruno is amazing; enthusiastic, knowledgeable, interesting and highly passionate about the skill of wine making. We tried a number of different wines and these were accompanied by a few snacks so as to show the difference in taste depending on what you’re eating. Also, and this is a great tip, open a bottle of red wine before drinking. Yes we all know that, but do you know how long for? There is a general rule of thumb but to find out, you need to go and see Bruno!

We were totally enthralled by this tour. I've always thought I knew wine, somewhat, but now I know wine much better. We learned how to know/recognize old wine from young wine. Never had any idea about tilting the glass and seeing that the edges of wine tell a story. I love Amarone and we tasted a few (and bought a few, as well). Absolutely love this tour. Definitely would take it again.
