What a wonderful way to get to know Verona's food and wine culture! Jlenia was a knowledgeable host, and an overall wonderful guide to the highlights of the city centre, as well as the history of not just the food and wine, but also the overall culture of the Veneto Region. My husband and I had a wonderful time walking the streets of Verona and enjoyed being introduced to its unique food and wine. Thank you and highly recommended!

This tour was fantastic with the knowledgeable and friendly Anna. It ended up as a private tour for just the 2 of us, which made it more fun and conversational. There were many stops and the food choices were brilliant. The Amorone Risotto is the signature dish and did not disappoint. Wine tastings, snacks and of course gelato!!! As we weaved through the streets of Verona, Anna explained the history and other interesting facts. Highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for such a detailed and enthusiastic review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the private feel of the experience and all the delicious stops along the way. Discovering Verona through its flavors (especially dishes like Amarone risotto) makes the city even more memorable.

Anna was an incredible guide — putting me and my son at ease swiftly and tailoring the tour precisely to our interests and level of knowledge. We felt we could ask her any question at all (even silly ones) and she was engaging, charming and hugely informative. It felt more like a few hours spent in the company of a friend who happens to know all the best food and wine secrets of Verona (and Italy). The sites we visited and the food and drinks we consumed would have taken several days for us to locate ourselves but having Anna there made it seamless and therefore completely relaxing, meaning we could focus on our enjoyment and understanding of how the multi-faceted history of Verona gave it its wealth of delicacies, from dried cod and polenta to an exquisite risotto al Amarone and some of the finest wines of the region (and the world). A wonderful tour to start the trip as we now have the confidence and knowledge to make the most of the rest of our holiday. Not to mention a list of things to try and buy before we leave. Grazia mille, Anna!

Great tour with a wonderful guide, Alessandra. We tried places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The food and wine selections were filling and delicious.

Small group, went through the local food scene and culture from breakfast to apperitivo, lunch, wine, and gelato.
Our guide Alessandra was superb in pacing the itinerary and guided us in English throughout.
Good price point too.
Would highly recommend it.

It was a great tour! Food, wine, and leader were fantastic! We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it for a half day in Verona! We learned a lot and tasted a lot!

My wife and I enjoy 2/3 city breaks every year, and always book a formal food and wine tour as a means to understand more about the destination being visited. Sampling different local produce is important to us, and we always feel a responsibility to embrace what it is that makes every particular city so special.

Our Tour guide:
Jlenia Rech was fantastic. She exceed our expectations! Ate at some Michelin Star restaurants and best of all was the Wine experience and gelato at the end.
Jayne_F, Sep 2025
Beatrice was the perfect hostess on a very enjoyable tour. We got to try lots of different foods that we probably wouldn’t have done without her guidance. Would highly recommend.
Ann_F, Sep 2025
This was my first time doing a food tour, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide was fabulous, five stars doesn't do her justice. She answered all our questions about food and culture. She is an amazing ambassador for her city and region. All the food and wine were excellent, and we tried food we might not have otherwise eaten. At every place Ale brought us, she was warmly welcomed by the staff, which reflected their regard for her. I never felt rushed and enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a wonderful way to spend part of the day. Alessandra, our guide, was great and informative. Kept us moving but not too fast. We had a chance to experience several local eateries, learned a lot about some of the unique aspects of Verona cuisine and area wines. Learned a lot and enjoyed the tour!

Joseph_S, Jun 2025
Alessandra was a wonderful guide. She gave us a nicely combined tour of food & wine tasting with attention to traditional fare that Verona is known for
Andres_M, May 2025
Lunch was not good, 90% of group did not eat it. Wine quality during wine tasting was subpar.Guide was excellent but quality of food and wine can be much better. For the price we were expecting a lot more.
Stephanie_S, Apr 2025
It was worth the money, very enjoyable. Alessandro was really good and very friendly. We liked it very much.
Deb_N, Nov 2024

Highly recommend this tour - our guide Alissandra was bubbly, informative and made the tour lots of fun (despite the torrential rain). Good local stops highlight for us was the Osteria. Great way to get your bearings in this beautiful city
Ezekiel_E, Sep 2024
Very friendly and knowledgeable guide led us through a great selection of food tastings and parts of the city.
Arezoo_A, Aug 2024

Ruth_A, Aug 2024
Ideal tour to get to know Verona with a local tour guide whilst enjoying a range of local dishes and wines. Good value for money; would highly recommend. TIP: Don’t eat a large breakfast beforehand!
Angela_D, Aug 2024
Had a great morning with our guide Allisandra. She gave us lots of information about parts of Verona and buildings that we passed as well as information on the food and wine of the area. The food and drinks were very nice - it would perhaps of been nice to have had a choice of dishes at lunch time. I appreciate the significance of the local specialty dish on offer but several members of the group were less keen. Overall though a great event.
David_M, Aug 2024
This has become our favorite way to see a new city and this one in Verona did not disappoint. Alessandra is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide that understands the rich culture of her city. She very much enjoys the wonders of guiding strangers into new experiences. While it seems long, it was the perfect pace and well timed. Make this a tour you don’t miss while in Verona!
michael_w, Jul 2024
What a great tour. Frederica was brilliant. She was so knowledgable about Verona and the venues we drank and ate in were great. Food and wine just perfect. A particular highlight was the main wine tasting in a perfect wine store by the River Adige.
Lynn_W, Jul 2024
Great day with our amazing guide Alexandria who was not only informative about the food and wine in Verona but also told us so much about the history and families of the area.
Lovely morning spent exploring areas and restaurants we would not otherwise have found. Well recommended.
Diane_M, Jul 2024
As a solo traveler i was good to join a small group tour of English speaking, likeminded people. The tour was well organised, the guide provided lots of information of the local cuisine and wines as well as the area and a little history. We made 5 stops with a comfortable pace to independent family establishments, all quite different experiences enjoying the local dishes and wines. An enjoyable tour, well recommended.
