You do not need to buy tickets to the Papal Audience - BUT - so glad we did this!! Our guide Sylvia got us amazing seats, explained the process to us and helped us figure out our day!!

Ralph was amazing! He arrived at our hotel early to pick us up and was extremely knowledgeable about the inner workings of how to get the best spot and shortest lines for the papal audience. He had a vast knowledge of the history of Rome and was extremely affable. I would recommend him to everyone! Thank you for making this such an amazing experience for my family!

They sell the visit as a private visit with the pop and few people. Well it’s not. You have to make the long lines to enter while being pushed around by the massive crowds. If it rains you get soaked because the audience it’s outside.

Guide was nearly an hour late

There were three groups of us waiting for our guide and tickets. One group was told 715, another 730 and we were told 745. All three groups were at the correct spot by 730. Our guide did not arrive until 838. While we waited, thousands of people entered. We would up way in the back and would have been much closer to the front if our guide and tickets had arrived by 745 as we were told.

The Papal Audience is a definite do if you can fit it in. Get there early and sit along the fencing with the cloth and the Pope will drive right by you. We bought the additional service for pickup and delivery of tickets. They did ask for my hotel, however I told them the hotel when booking the tour and thought they had it. They did reach out via email through the app to get the hotel, however I feel they should have called me when all other communications didn't work. Other service providers did call which was a big help as email and internet services didn't work very well, but phone service did. So we paid for a service we didn't get and they left the tickets for us at a diner on the other side of the vatican so it was a 20 minute walk (there and back) in the morning that wasn't expected.

Not really skip the line!

The process was so easy - I would like to offer advice - I would tell people to get there by 745 to pick up the tickets and stand in line. There are only 2 entrances and you have to stand in line and go through security. There is no way around that. You could be in line for 20 minutes or 1 hour.

This trip seemed expensive for what was actually included (a taxi pick-up and a ticket collection) BUT, we were so grateful we did book it. The taxi picked us up from our hotel (7am) and took us to the correct location of the end of the queue, which was already pretty enormous at 7:30am! We would have had no idea where to go on our own. Our guide had already picked up our tickets and told us the best place to go when we got into the hall to see the Pope. After a long wait and a big squash, the Pope was wheeled right next to us and we were able to shake his hand! An amazing experience, and although we got lucky, the input from the guide was very helpful especially as we had children with us.

Not skip the line.... not ticket delivery

Not really skip the line, there is no skip the line available for the Papal audience. Don't believe that from any provider. I already knew that. What I wanted, and did NOT get as noted, is the delivery of the tickets to my hotel the night before. Instead, we had to meet someone the morning of the event to collect what are free tickets to begin with. Because of that, we had to fight the crowds the morning of, try to find the person with the tickets, and get in the line later than we wanted. The delivery is what we wanted and were paying the money for, so we could be be on our own timetable. The audience was awesome in the end.

Dear David There is no promise of skip line entrance to the audienc area. All have to go through security. Please note ticket hoteldelivery if possibl if you provide the name of hotel at the time of booking. Otherwis you met us at clearly designated place few steps from St. Peter's. I recall from our conversation on that morning you had no problm finding the meeting place and ur staff.

I come to Rome on my honeymoon, don’t have any experience in Europe. So purchasing this made my papal experience so smooth! We got picked up from the hotel, the usher had our tickets ready to go was with us all the way till we had our seats. They are not assigned seats but she really went above and beyond to help us get the best seats available.

Agnes was our guide. She wàs the best. Got us literally meters from the Holy Father. And then the unbelievable happened both my friend who I was traveling with and Ig ot to shake hands and talk to the Holy Father. I will never forget the experience for as long as I live.

One way transit worth its weight in gold

This was my first trip to Italy and to Rome. I wanted to attend Papal audience as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We arrived at 0730, and the Pope spoke for an hour beginning at 0900. What I didn't expect was the enthusiasm of the crowd. In order to catch a glimpse of the Pope as he rode by, the crowd pushed toward the barrier like I was attending a rock music concert. You want to arrive early and sit near any border if you want a picture or video as the Pope drives by. What made this tour worthwhile was the one way transport provided by Marco. He picked us up from the hotel, asked us to remain in the vehicle as he picked up the tickets for entry, and drove us to a place where we could find the shortest queue to enter St. Peter's basilica. When I initially booked this tour with transport, the extra expense made me curious. It is so worth it! Marco guided us on where to go which allowed us to enjoy the experience. Highly recommend

Not as expected.

Bottom line, you are paying to get the tickets delivered to you and that is all. Do not expect anything else. I purchased two sets of tickets. One set for two people with the 1 way transfer and one set for three people without the transfer. The night before the event, I realized that I did not get any details on the pick up time. I emailed the company to find out what time the driver was going to pick us up. I was told that I did not purchase the transfer and then it was suggested that I get to the location before 745am to get a seat. Needless to say, we had to get there on our own via a taxi. No one was there to greet us and no seats were reserved. You are on your own. If you are ok with receiving the tickets only, then this company is for you. I will say this, I was refunded the additional cost that we paid for the transfer. But the overall experience was stressful.

The optional pick up must be reserved at the time of booking the tickets to be confirmed. The service purchased by client included tickets booking and delivery to hotel the evening before the event. The tickets secure sitting placed for all but seats are not numbered as explained on the web page. Kindly Francesca

Horrible. We were scheduled to see in person. This company cancelled it on us, when there was no reason to cancel. The Pope was still giving his address. Very upset with this situation.

We had been misled by Vatican Information Center which had publishd erroneus informatin about Pope canclling audiencs in August. In conquence we cancelled the services in good faith and refunded in full. They did not inform the public about August 3rd audince which was still on.

I loved it! they picked us up at our hotel and practically put us next to the pope! LOL! Agnes our tour guide brought us in and helped us with security. She showed us where to sit. All the while telling us interesting tidbits about the area as we walked. I would highly recommend this for visitors who dont know their way around.
