Confusing

The ticket got us entry to the museums and the Sistine chapel which is what we both wanted to see. There was however some confusion around the location where we needed to be to enter the museum, this was the main entrance and not a secondary entrance as shown on the link in the email. Also skip the line doesnt seem to be a thing. Everyone had seemed to have booked skip the line but everyone ended up in their respective queues waiting. The museums themselves were amazing though

Sudden re-routing by local operator

Viator’s local partners rescheduled our time (moved from 9.30am to 9.00am) as late as the night before and announced via email. When I saw this early that morning, it was too late to reschedule our trip to the Vatican. I did not get a reply in the chat in the app, first by email I got a reply that Viator is not responsible but that it is the local partner who can respond to change back time or refund. The local partner said no, only when I claimed my contract is with Viator and not the local partner did they change their mind and I got the full amount refunded. It was a few sad hours in the morning before I was told about the refund and we had to buy new tickets on site (after the queue that I wanted to avoid!). Actually, it made my experience bad. The Vatican was very interesting but I find it hard to understand how time can be moved at such short notice without cause and understanding what it does to the traveler. Thanks anyway to Viator for fixing the refund.
