Skip the line worth every cent !!!

JosephJr_M, Aug 2024
Tje guide was super knowledgeable and skipping the line was worth every penny paid. Extremely hot in August. Great tour my whole family will remeber.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled that you and your family enjoyed the tour and found skipping the line worth it—especially in the heat of August. We’re glad to hear that the guide made the experience memorable for your family. If you ever return to Rome, we’d love to have you join us for our Vatican or Pantheon tours as well. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Amazing

Chris_D, Aug 2024
Barbara was fantastic. Absolutely worth it. Money well spent. Would absolutely do it again. The Colosseum is breathtaking.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted to hear that Barbara made your tour experience fantastic and that you found it to be money well spent. The Colosseum truly is breathtaking, and we’re thrilled you enjoyed it. When you’re back in Rome, we’d love for you to explore even more with us on our Vatican and Pantheon tours. We look forward to welcoming you again!

Too much waiting and unnecessary walking.if you are paying for a trip then the guide should have all the tickets ready

Lynn_S, Jul 2024
Spent too much time waiting and then walking to get tickets and then back and fro. It is free to vist the colosseum on a Sunday which we new that when we book it. We pay 30 each per person for a guide and why on earth the guide could not get the tickets and meet at the Colosseum, when it is 37 degrees and spent nearly an hour waiting and walking to get tickets blows my mind

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We understand that waiting in the heat and extra walking can be frustrating. The Colosseum offers free entry on the last Sunday of every month, which we clearly indicate in the additional information when booking. This results in very large crowds, which can cause longer waits, and we must follow the official process set by the Colosseum regarding ticket collection and entry. We strive to offer the best experience possible, and while the large crowds on free Sundays are beyond our control, we are always working to make the experience as smooth as possible. We appreciate your understanding and hope that, despite the delays, you enjoyed your visit. We’d be happy to welcome you back on a different day for a less crowded experience. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to see you again soon.

A little rocky, but overall okay

Katlynn_V, Jul 2024
At the start the tour seems a little unorganized. The meeting point is where many groups meet so somewhat difficult to find where to go. We came on the first Sunday of the month (which is free to all) and in July. We anticipated no matter what lines would exist, and it would be hot. Use the bathroom before you go and eat a snack. If you reset your expectations that things aren’t going to go absolutely perfectly then you’ll be fine. Once at meeting point the group was led to ticket office to pick up tickets- they are not given out ahead of time, at least on the day we went. The tour was supposed to “start” at 11, but we started more around 12:15 and finished by 1:15. A little longer than planned, so again, leave yourself buffer room. The first 30 minutes we unfortunately had to listen to every person complain that this wasn’t the “skip the line experience they paid for” which I can validate but you’re in a foreign city, jam packed with tourists- let it go. The guide we had was wonderful- he was straightforward, informative and used pictures to additionally explain details about the colosseum you may not understand by just staring at the structure as it is today. Ultimately we enjoyed the tour as it was our last day in Rome and we just wanted to go inside to see and learn a bit. However, if you’re looking for a “luxury skip the line” type of experience- this wasn’t it.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We appreciate your understanding of the challenges, especially on the first Sunday of the month when the Colosseum is free and much more crowded. The lines and wait times can be longer than usual, and we do our best to manage them as efficiently as possible. We’re glad to hear that you still enjoyed the tour overall, and that our guide’s knowledge and approach added value to your experience. We also appreciate your patience with the logistics and the additional time it took to get started. We’ll continue to work on improving our communication and organization, especially during high-traffic days like free Sundays, to ensure a smoother experience for all our guests. Thank you again for your thoughtful review, and we hope to welcome you back for another tour in the future!

Not For Me

Phuoc_N, Jul 2024
Not worth the money. The tour was 1.5 hours delayed and we were paraded around the area to gather tickets and for other participants who didn’t plan ahead to use the facilities and buy water. It would have taken less time to wait in the normal access line. The tour guide didn’t do or say anything compelling. I could’ve walked around and done a better web search on things I found interesting. There were other people in my group that could not keep up so we did a lot of waiting once the tour started. There are a lot of stairs and if you go in July, it will be hot. I should also mention that access on the first Sunday of the month is free to all.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. As you mentioned, free entry is available on the first Sunday of every month, which often leads to larger crowds and some delays. While we aim to streamline the ticketing process, the increased number of visitors on free days can cause unavoidable waiting times. We always recommend that guests prepare for the heat, especially during the summer months, by bringing water and staying hydrated. Additionally, the Colosseum has a lot of stairs and walking, and we encourage guests to review the tour details prior to booking to ensure the tour matches their preferences and physical comfort. We value your feedback regarding the tour guide, and we will take it into consideration as we continue to improve the experience for future guests. We hope that, despite the challenges, you were able to enjoy some aspects of the historical sites, and we would love the opportunity to welcome you back on a less crowded day. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to provide a better experience in the future.

Not worth it

Diane_F, Jul 2024
This tour started over an hour late. We were required to walk 3 blocks to go get our own tickets and then walk back to only wait 40 more minutes to get in. So. Disorganized. Very knowledgeable tour guide who was also irritated by this company. Not with the price whatsoever. I'm only giving 3 stars instead of 2 because of the great guide.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we’re sorry to hear that certain aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. We understand that the delays and the extra walking were frustrating, especially on a free Sunday, which tends to attract much larger crowds. To reduce the wait times, we arrange for ticket collection at a different location, which has helped minimize the waiting time to about 5 minutes. However, we understand that even with these efforts, the experience can still feel disorganized due to the large number of visitors on these busy days. We’re glad to hear that you found the tour guide knowledgeable and engaging, and we will pass along your kind words to them. We appreciate your patience and feedback, and we will continue working to improve our processes, especially on high-traffic days like the free Sundays. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to welcome you back on a less crowded day to provide a smoother experience.

Great guide

Lucas_D, Jun 2024
Had a great 1130am tour of the Colosseum, along with our two young children in a stroller, and really appreciated the guide's knowledge and helpfulness in sheparding us through the site (I wish I could remember his name). We were placed in a group under the name Rome Tours (or something similar) at 1115, before our entrance time. We had to wait in line for a bit to get through security (we were presented skip the line tickets as soon as we arrived but still needed to wait 15-30 mins to get through the long security line) but our guide kept us entertained the whole time with facts and stories (and pictures) about the Colosseum and Forum. Once inside, we spent over an hour with the guided tour and thought our guide was excellent.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and your family had a great experience, especially with young children in tow. It’s wonderful that your guide made the wait time enjoyable with engaging stories and knowledge about the Colosseum and Forum. If you ever return to Rome, we’d love to welcome you back for more tours! Our Vatican and Pantheon tours offer more incredible experiences, and we’d be happy to guide you through those as well. Thanks again for your kind words, and we hope to see you on your next trip!

Not worth the tour

Kaisha_S, Jun 2024
Not worth the $$ for the tour. First I wanted to thank Viator and tour company for accommodation on missing our 1st time reservations. When we arrived for the tour we waited around for awhile then had to walk as a group to get our tickets (which the tickets are free the 1st Sunday of the month) so we knew we were paying for the tour guide. It happened to be that the venue didn't open until 2pm because of a special event in the morning. So everything was thrown off schedule. We had to wait over an hour and half for our tour guide start time was 4:30pm we didn't get into the Colosseum until 6pm and didn't have enough time to really enjoy or explore. Our guide was only with us for less than 30 minutes! Definitely not worth it at all! You are better off paying for skip the line tickets and going on your own

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the issues you faced during your visit. We understand how disappointing it must have been to experience delays due to the venue’s late opening, especially on a busy day like the first Sunday of the month when tickets are free. Unfortunately, this was a situation beyond our control, and we regret that it impacted your experience. We also apologize for the shortened tour time and any confusion regarding the schedule. Our goal is always to provide a smooth and informative experience, and it’s clear we fell short on this occasion. We are reviewing the situation to ensure better communication and organization in the future. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope that you’ll consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide a much better experience.

Chaos

Victoria_P, Jun 2024
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be cattle shuffled from car to car? I now do. The tour was rescheduled by 6 hours without anyone informing us. This apparently was due to it being a national holiday-June 2nd. But they knew this when the trip was booked and they never informed us. We had to email to ask if the trip was still on and that’s when they said we needed to come 6 hours later. Once we got there, we were shuffled from group to group with 4 different guides for almost an hour before even entering the museum. Every question we asked about what was going on was met with a smile and a shushing hand - never an answer other than “just follow me.” Once you got inside, the tour was fairly formative and nicely paced although the guide did take two phone calls mid tour. In the end, the tour was worth it as the Colosseum is even more impressive than you can imagine, BUT if there is any other option - take that one.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience you faced due to the rescheduling of the tour. National holidays can sometimes impact schedules unexpectedly, but we regret that the communication about this was not clearer or timely. We also apologize for the disorganization you experienced at the start of the tour. We understand how frustrating it must have been to be shuffled between groups and not receive clear answers to your questions. This is not the level of service we strive to provide, and we will be reviewing this internally to ensure improvements are made. We’re glad to hear that, once inside the Colosseum, the tour was informative and that you appreciated the beauty of the site. Your feedback is valuable, and we will use it to make necessary adjustments to avoid similar issues in the future. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide a smoother experience should you visit us again.

Great first Colosseum experience

Jenn_J, May 2024
Group size was not too big and learned a lot. I appreciate the early morning option, it was nice to get to the Colosseum early and take photos before it got crowded.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed the smaller group size and appreciated the early morning option. It’s always a bonus to capture great photos before the crowds arrive! If you’re back in Rome, we’d love for you to explore more with us on our Vatican and Pantheon tours, where we offer similarly great experiences. We hope to welcome you back soon!

How to ruin your trip to the Colosseum

Corey_L, May 2024
Snake oil. I have very good reason to believe the reviews for this tour are fake. If you scroll down you’ll see that every one from June 2023 to May 2024 are 5 stars. I stupidly didn’t read all of them and took the 4.5 stars at face value. So I guess I got my just desserts. Echoing other reviews I cannot express how misleading, how disorganised and how much of a farce Pointours are. We spent £103 on two tickets for the ‘Skip-the line tour of colosseum with access to ancient Rome’, which in the end was none of these things. 1. Access to Ancient Rome If you book 8:30 your tour will not include access to the colosseum or Roman forum, therefore contradicting the ‘access to Ancient Rome (i.e the Roman forum) that your ticket stated it would include. You will be paying 18€ for this access as part of your colosseum entry ticket. An entirely misleading advert. 2. Skip the line As you meet at one of two meeting locations (why two?), your guide may turn up late as ours did, whilst also providing no notice of their tardiness nor apology. After looking out for a yellow flag, we eventually see a blue piece of paper being held up. We were then walked for 5-10 minutes down the road to the Roman Forum to purchase tickets from the office. The ‘Skipping the line’ therefore not included in part of the ticket. By the time we got to the colosseum it was 9:30am. 3. A Tour We were a small group of six. Not that we’d have needed headphones but the advert stated they would be available. We were not offered headphones, nor did the guides possess any. If in a larger group this would render it impossible to hear the guide. We were then greeted with another guide at the ticket office who was friendly, however, it would soon transpire had an extremely limited knowledge of the colosseum, and it seemed could only care about getting through it as soon as possible. You got the sense that he just rocked up on the day. The guide provided almost no information on historical events or dates. Almost every piece of information provided was in reference to a lasagne analogy of old and new concrete. The remaining information would also be inaccurate, and questions you might have would be answered inadequately or just ignored. About 70% of the time was spent with the guide walking off in front, where he’d then stop and say ‘take your pictures’ then press on until the next stop for pictures. Again, no detail, no knowledge. The walk through of the colosseum was cut short by 30 minutes, with the guide leaving at 10am. Not that it really mattered. I spoke on the phone with the original person who met us, who argued against almost all the points above. After explaining each of the points above four times, my request for information on a refund process were repeatedly ignored. After persisting for 25 minutes I was finally able to get a refund of 50%. In total the tour and tickets costed £86 with what should have been a great experience ruined entirely. 1 star.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We strive to provide clear information and an enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we regret that this was not the case for you. We take your concerns seriously, especially regarding the issues with ticketing, the guide, and the overall organization of the tour. We will be reviewing this internally to ensure such situations are addressed and that future tours meet the high standards we aim to provide. We appreciate your patience and are glad that we were able to issue a partial refund for your experience. If you would like to discuss this further or provide more details, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you again for your feedback.

Allow plenty of time

Stephen_G, May 2024
It was ok. We couldn’t find where to get the ticket at first. We booked for 3pm, but then had to walk for the tickets, which didn’t let us in till 4.30pm. We then just wandered around and meet up again at 4.30pm. The group was far too big. The guide was excellent though.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the guide to be excellent, but we apologize for the confusion and delays with the ticketing process and the size of the group. Due to the high volume of visitors on certain days, ticket collection can sometimes take longer than expected, and we are working on ways to improve this process to make it smoother for our guests. We also understand that the group size was larger than ideal, and we’re addressing this to ensure a more personalized experience for future tours. We appreciate your patience during the wait and are grateful for your understanding. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to reach out to us directly at [business@pointours.com ]. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to welcome you back in the future for an improved experience.

Worst tour EVER

Cathy_Q, Apr 2024
The disorganized tour. Listening to one tour guide argue with the other tour guide. Having to wait for the ticket box office to open even though we were told to be there at 8:15. The time stamp on our tickets was 9:50. We were told to enter another gate and had to enter without a guide and given no instructions on how/where to find guide. After waiting around for another 20 minutes or so, we finally called the number on our confirmation so the guide could come meet us. After all that, we listened to about 20 minutes and just left. Worst tour ever. And we paid $128 for their horrible service, and on top of that we had to pay the 32.00 admission fee. A decent company would realize that a refund is in order.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your tour did not meet expectations and that you encountered significant issues during your visit. The situation you described, including the miscommunication about entry times and the lack of clear guidance, is not reflective of the service we aim to provide. We deeply regret that this resulted in such a negative experience for you. The confusion surrounding the guides and ticket office delays is something we take very seriously. We have since reviewed the situation and are implementing better coordination and communication practices to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future. Regarding the additional fees, we understand your frustration. While the entrance fees are separate from the tour cost, we recognize that your overall experience was far from satisfactory. We would be happy to discuss this further and offer you a solution that reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction. Please reach out to us directly at [business@pointours.com ], and we would be happy to assist you. Thank you again for your feedback, and we sincerely hope you’ll give us another chance to provide a much better experience.

Very messy and...

TL_V, Apr 2024
Very messy and disorganised at the meeting point. Took far longer to get in, than expected. The group size was far too big. Not worth the money charged

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience at the meeting point was disorganized and that the entry process took longer than expected. We understand how frustrating that can be, and we’re working hard to improve the logistics to provide a smoother experience for all our guests. We also apologize for the large group size, as we aim to provide a more personalized tour. We are actively reviewing our group management to ensure future tours are more comfortable for participants. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us make necessary improvements, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a better experience. Worst Tour of My Life

Jacob_P, Apr 2024
I never write reviews - this is my first one ever. Generally I am an easy going individual that can find positives in almost any situation. Unfortunately, outside of the colosseum (which was incredible), this was by far the worst tour of my life. For starters the tour was to begin at 8:15 and we were supposed to meet at a specific location. My wife and I got there at 8:03 and the tour group left without us to go to the “secret-ticket” line to get tickets. Mind you, the event we booked made it seem like the tickets were purchased when we booked the event. Not true. You are paying to go to this secret ticket line and have a tour guide (average wait time here is 1-3hours vs normal line of 3-5 hours). After tracking this line down we sat in line for a hour and half. Normally this would not be an issue but we specifically paid for skip-the-line passes for this event. Between these two events it became apparent this was not the event we thought we signed up for. Next, was the matter of fact of actually paying for the tickets. As mentioned above we were under the impression the tickets were included in the purchase price - but they are not. (On the website, it explicitly said that the tour and tickets were included in the purchase price.) As we got to the front of the line we found out you need a passport or ID to buy the ticket. This information was provided to us in a separate email in a fine print section. From the booking it was not listed or have I ever had to provide this information on other tours. So, I had to go back to the hotel and get our information. Once I got back and got the tickets our group finally got to go to the colosseum. But, again another issue came up. Because the group was scattered throughout the line everyone had different entrance times. Because of this we had to wait an extra 30 minutes so everyone could go in together. Because of this we did not enter the colosseum until about 3 hours after our scheduled time. The tour itself was okay? I am a bit of a history nerd, so I do know a little more about history than the average individual. But, I do not feel like I learned anything interesting or unique on this tour. Very generic information and about halfway through my wife and I gave up and separated from the tour to just adventure colosseum on our own. I under no circumstances recommend this tour. A lot of us on the trip felt manipulated and feel as if we bought something else entirely. The booking was massively overbooked, the staff were incredibly unorganized, and the listing is not faithful to what you actually have to do.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for the experience you had during your tour. We understand that the situation, from the early miscommunication about the meeting point to the confusion regarding ticket purchases, caused significant frustration for you and your wife. We do our best to provide clear information regarding ticketing and meeting points, and it’s unfortunate that this did not align with your expectations. The issue with the wait times and the lack of clarity about entrance procedures is something we are currently addressing with our team to ensure that future guests do not face the same confusion. Additionally, we are working on improving our booking listings to be more transparent and better reflect the on-ground reality. We also regret that the content of the tour didn’t meet your expectations. Our guides aim to offer engaging and informative experiences, and we will use your feedback to review the quality of information provided. Please know that we take all guest feedback seriously and will use this as an opportunity to improve our operations. If you'd like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to reach out to us at [contact information]. We'd love the opportunity to make this right. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to provide a much better experience should you give us another chance in the future.

Worst tour I have ever been on

Therdsak_T, Apr 2024
This was the most unorganised tour we have ever been on. We and everyone who was with us felt completely ripped off by the chaos that we faced. At the end we all had no choice but to laugh about it because it was so bad. We ended up stand in line for 2 hours before going into the colleseum, so the whole “skip the queue” is misleading. We had the worst experience possible in a tour guide. When we got inside, we and 10 of us couldnt find our tour guide, so walked around for 30 mins by ourselves until we saw them again. Terrible experience.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your feedback. We are sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Due to recent changes in the Colosseum’s ticketing management, we faced unforeseen circumstances where no advance tickets were available, forcing us to wait in line to get tickets on the spot. As a local travel agency, we do our best to streamline the process, but in this case, we had no option but to follow the procedures enforced by the Colosseum. We provided as much information as possible about the potential delays, and we understand how frustrating the wait must have been, especially when expecting to skip the queue. We are continuously working on ways to mitigate these issues, but in certain cases, we are bound by rules beyond our control. Regarding the tour guide, we apologize for any confusion and the inconvenience of being separated from the group. We are currently reviewing this issue to ensure it does not happen again. We appreciate your understanding of the situation, and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please reach out to us directly at [contact information] if you’d like to discuss this further. We value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

Horrible organización

karensusy15, Apr 2024
The tour was supposed to start at 8:15, we entered the colosseo at 10, they didn’t have enough radios for the tour guide. The “pointours” organizers had absolutely no organization we saw several people who asked for a refund right there. Also the description of the tour is misleading, you have to buy your own ticket and the group was much larger than they said it would be. Dont waste your money on point tours. Plus we didn’t skip any line

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your tour. Due to recent changes in Colosseum management and ticketing processes, there were unexpected delays that affected both the timing and organization of the tour. Unfortunately, these changes left us with no choice but to follow the new procedures, which included waiting for tickets at the Colosseum on the day of the tour. Regarding the radios, we understand how important they are to ensuring a smooth experience, and we regret that there were not enough available for your group that day. We have since addressed this issue to ensure better preparation for future tours. As for the group size, we aim to maintain transparency, and we regret that the size exceeded your expectations. We will review our communication to ensure that the group sizes are made clearer during booking. Lastly, we understand the frustration with the “skip the line” aspect. Due to the ticketing changes on the day of your tour, this feature was not possible, and we regret that this was not properly communicated. We value your feedback and would be happy to discuss this further. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at [business@pointours.com ]. Thank you again, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

A little disorganized but we got what we paid for

Catherine_M, Apr 2024
The tour itself was okay. We got access to everything on time and got to learn about the history from our guide. However, the operation was pretty sketchy. We were told to arrive at 2:30 for a 3:00 tour. The meeting spot was very overwhelming, with “agents” everywhere approaching you and sending you from person to person. We actually arrived at 1:30 and were thrown into an earlier group, which was fine even though we were okay waiting. The whole thing appeared a little disorganized, with agents running around frantically, trying to fit more people into all the groups, handing off radios, etc. Then, we had too many people and they had to find another tour guide to help us all get in. Not to mention the sketchy way we had to pay for the whole thing. I was pretty uncomfortable at first but was relieved when we finally got in. The tour itself was fine and the guide was knowledgeable, even though he must have said “bulls***” over 50 times in his descriptions. Might try to find a different tour if we come back.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed learning about the history from your guide and that you were able to access all the sites as planned. However, we sincerely apologize for the disorganization and the overwhelming nature of the meeting point, as well as the confusion with timing and group management. Due to recent operational challenges, including coordinating larger-than-expected groups and managing radio hand-offs, we recognize that the experience was not as smooth as it should have been. Informative tour

Bridget_M, Apr 2024
Tour guide was excellent and informative. It was great to be able to skip the queue. We got an in-depth explanation of Ancient Rome and the colosseum. There were some issues with our booking but the team were very communicative and sorted it efficiently.

Colosseo

Meeting point instructions were not good. It was a struggle to find our tour guide but after a phone call we were put in a group that was getting started. Tour guide was very knowledgable but was difficult to understand at times. It was a good experience.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that overall you had a good experience and found the tour guide knowledgeable. However, we apologize for the confusion with the meeting point instructions. We understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t go smoothly at the start of a tour, and we’re working on improving our communication and directions to make it easier for future guests to find us without difficulty. We appreciate your patience in resolving the issue, and we’ll make sure your feedback regarding the guide's clarity is also addressed to improve the tour experience further. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to welcome you back in the future for an even better experience.

Site is spectacular, the guide....

Steven_C, Mar 2024
We were excited to visit the Colosseum, and our tour guide was a local with a lot of history. However, she quickly got off the path of telling us the history of the area with too many stories about herself and growing up in the area. Her use of a children's book that looked to be as old as the Colosseum itself was tacky. After two hours of walking hallways around the perimeter of the Colosseum, we were finally able to see the arena itself and explore the inside of the ancient place on our own. This was extremely disappointing as we encountered many guided tours with the guides showing others around the entire inside of the Colosseum. You are better off getting a skip the line ticket and doing it yourself! Do NOT recommend.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the Colosseum itself, but we are truly sorry that the tour guide’s performance did not meet your expectations. Our guides are trained to provide informative and engaging experiences, and it’s clear from your feedback that the focus of the tour strayed from what you expected. We appreciate your comments regarding the use of the materials and will be reviewing this with our team to ensure that our tours remain professional and centered around the rich history of the Colosseum. We always aim to improve, and your feedback is valuable in helping us achieve that. We understand how important it is to have a meaningful and well-guided tour, and we apologize for any disappointment you experienced. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide a much better experience in the future.

Great experience

JoseLuis_E, Mar 2024
I don't have enough compliments to give to Barbara for such an amazing experience! This woman is rich with information, charisma and stamina. There was a little hiccup with the scheduling, but such a tourist-packed attraction is bound to have some issue. But the attentive staff more than made up for this. I would highly recommend. This is an experience I'll never forget. Did I mentioned that Barbara is absolutely amazing? Great great great guide. Hope she's always blessed.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

She truly is an amazing guide, and we’ll be sure to pass along your wonderful compliments to her. We’re glad the team was able to resolve the scheduling hiccup and ensure everything went smoothly despite the busy nature of the Colosseum. Your recommendation means the world to us! We’d love to welcome you back in the future. If you’re ever in Rome again, consider joining us for our Vatican or Pantheon tours. Thank you again, and we wish you all the best!

Great way to see colosseum with tour guide in short period of time. Wonderful way to finish at the forum to explore on our own

Response from Host, Sep 2024

It’s always nice to have some extra time to explore on your own after the guided portion. Do Not Do Business With Pointours.

Jeff_M, Oct 2023
If there was an option for zero stars, that's what this would receive. There is no reason to do business with Pointours. We arrived 30min early at the specific meet up spot for our 4pm tour. At 3:55pm, the Pointours rep arrived in a frantic tizzy, claiming that the Colosseum had cancelled our tour at 4:00pm but that he could arrange for another tour at 4:45pm, but really that meant maybe getting inside by 5:20pm. Oddly, it was only Pointours that was affected by this mysterious cancellation as all of the other 15 tours that met at the same place, run and organized by different companies, all managed to have their 4:00pm tours leave on time and get access as planned. Pointours rather obviously tried to consolidate tours because they didn't want to spend money on two different tour guides. There were a total of eight people scheduled for tours at 4:00pm and 4:30pm, none of whom actually got to experience the tour. A complete scam.

We would appreciate some clarification as there are two companies in close proximity with similar names. Kindly provide us with your purchased voucher so that we can assist you further. Your feedback is valuable to us. Thank you.
