It snowed heavily today. We drove the whole time and returned to Tromsø after 5 hours without seeing the Auroras. Too bad. We heard from other groups that they went deep into Finland and experienced the beautiful dance of the Auroras.

Over the past days we have had reports of very successful tours with beautiful aurora displays, but if your review refers to an earlier date, we would like to clarify a few general points about how we operate:
• We always do our best within the conditions we have.
Our tours follow a set schedule, as many guests rely on returning to Tromsø at the stated time due to other plans and logistics. This means we cannot always drive unlimited distances, especially if we have already tried alternative locations earlier in the evening.
• Northern Lights chasing is exactly that — a chase.
Sometimes the weather plays tricks on us, and our predictions do not match the actual conditions. On those nights, another operator may take a different gamble and get lucky. This is part of the nature of aurora hunting.
• Safety is our highest priority.
We operate large buses and are responsible for both our guests and everyone else on the road. If driving conditions include ice, strong winds, heavy snowfall or poor visibility, we are obligated to avoid those areas. This season we have unfortunately seen several operators take risks that have resulted in dangerous situations and accidents. We will never compromise on safety.
We truly appreciate all feedback, and we always want to improve.

Gabriele, Jonathan and our bus driver Christoper were a great team that guided us to a spectacular night of Northern Lights, despite a forecast of clouds. We appreciated the excellent commentary. It was the first of more than a half dozen tours we’ve taken here, in Yellowknife, Canada and in Alaska where the guide explained camera settings. Gabriele also told us charming stories about how earlier peoples interpreted the lights, including as an activity related to Arctic foxes. She took excellent photos and served delicious hot chocolate that was not the usual watery Swiss Miss. The bus was comfortable and had a small restroom, which we greatly appreciated. We assumed a bus trip would not be as good as a small group tour in a van, but it was.

Gabriela and Jonathan were great tour guide who shared a lot of fun facts. The journey started on a super cloudy night, but they chose a great spot to settle down. Later in the evening, the skies cleared and we were able to see some great northern lights. Thanks for Christopher as well, great bus driver; we felt very safe.

Worst company to book with. Save your money and time. This company had cancelled our trip and we were not even notified. We were waiting at pick up point and no one showed up.
No one showed up to pick us up from the meeting point so I gave them a call and they said tour is cancelled. Tour time was at 6:30 pm and we found out our tour is cancelled at 6:35 pm. It was very hard to find another tour with different company since it was a closing time for most of the company.
I wish I could give a negative star to Artic Service Guide.
Thanks to viator they gave us a refund right away after calling them.

The mistake was technical and should not have happened. We had decided to cancel the tour due to bad weather in the morning and had done the necessary to contact the guests, rebook them or issue refunds. The reason why we were not aware of your booking is because the booking was changed after we closed the date and so our software did not make it visible to us anymore. We do take full responsibility for this very unfortunate event and will make sure this does not happen again.

They switched us to a tour with a bilingual Spanish-English guide. There were six of us on the bus, three of whom didn't speak Spanish, and the other six of us had purchased the tour in Spanish. The guide refused to speak Spanish, despite being the majority. Her attitude was dismissive, and she decided not to answer our questions in Spanish. She was only available for two people.

If that number is not reached, guests are informed that they may be offered a seat on the English-speaking departure instead, to ensure the tour can still take place.

What an absolutely fabulous trip. Thank you Kira and Bjorn for the best evening ever. We saw the Northern Lights in 3 different areas. When the cloud cover came, Bjorn drove us to a different destination, Kiran pointed out what we were looking for and how to take our own photos, combined with the photos Kira took, all in all, an excellent tour and the best birthday ever! Kira also kept us entertained with stories of Norway and the tales of different countries as to why the Northern Lights exist. Very entertaining tour, would do it again in a heartbeat!

The organisation was not perfect, we were given two different meeting points, distancing about 300 mts and the bus arrived at the very last minute. At the end we found them and we left to chase the northern lights.

The guide gave us a tour of the different spots around Kvaløya and it was absolutely unforgettable. We visited stunning viewpoints and beautiful natural landscapes that we would never have found on our own. We didn’t see any northern lights, which, while a natural phenomenon, can often be predicted in advance using tools like the KP index and other forecasting resources. Given this, the company knew ahead of time that the chances were extremely low (as they told us during the tour how you can tell whether or not there'll be northern lights). Instead of proceeding with the tour, they should have canceled it and issued refunds rather than taking us on a long, pointless bus ride. It felt like a cash grab rather than an honest experience—so disappointing!

the KP index is a global auroral activity indicator which goes from 0-9. A bigger KP Index is an indicator that people in other areas than Tromsø are able to see the Northern Light, in theory. In order to see the Northern Lights there are some factors which can not be calculated. Even not with modern technology. Since the solar wind particles collide with atoms that make up or atmosphere like nitrogen and oxygen atoms which in turn gives them energy which they slowly rlease as light. The light is what we call "Northern Lights". And were we also say "It has its own mind" since this process is unpredictable. There are several factors which are relevant. And the KP is actually not that significant as some APPs might suggest. Anyhow, we try our best but sometimes the night is not as expected, which can happen with a nature phenomenon. In those cases we do offer 50% discount. In cases we do not see any chance at all we cancel from our side.

They said the pictures were going to be uploaded on their website and I've checked many times and they are just not there. I tried contacting them and they are not answering (Instagram and through their online page as well). My tour was on December 23rd with Manuel (so more than 10 days ago, and still no pictures).

We got really lucky and saw the lights on full display at both our stops. We had ample time at both well chosen locations to take in the scenery and enjoy the experience. Our guides Alberto and Elizabeth were really kind and helpful (especially with my camera which wasn't working particularly well!). The hot drinks and snacks were welcome and the whole evening was magical.

The experience is inexplanable. We got lucky that we’re able to see Northern Lights. It was a successful trip with friends as we have always wanted to go to Norway for a long time. Thank you to the team specially Eli and Alberto for taking great photos. The only issue that we had is the operator didnt give a contact number to call aside from online messages. It will be helpful to provide contact info as this will be easier for customers to reach out.

Average trip.
Tried spotting the aurora in a few places (did not have much luck). Driver was good. Tour guide was okay, a bit rough tbh. When sky started clearing, had to head back to Tromso.

It was very fun through the whole trip Brega and Michael very funny combo not bored at all. Even though it was very cloudy they drove us farther to Finland to increase the chance of norther lights. It was an amazing experience.

I waited a year before writing this review. I consider this tour, this night, a highlight of my months-long travel around Europe. I still rave about it.
Being a safety person, I also appreciated that we had to wear high-vis vests when we were off the bus.

It was a comfortable bus ride .
Our tour guides drove to far out areas so we could get clear skies for the northern lights .unfortunately due to the clouds we only saw the lights once and had to turn around.
The snacks were nice and the guides took nice photos of everyone and taught everyone how to optimize camera settings for the pics .
It was a good trip and worth it . Just check weather conditions before booking because with a big bus it's harder to go to remote spots as you would with a minibus .

Our Tour Guide Elisabet was great and very knowledgeable about Northern lights! She came well prepared and ready to chase what we had came for, and with her professional camera we were successful. Too bad some of the other tour groups were not as successful as we were and I think it has to do with having an Expert Tour Guide! I highly recommend this tour!

The experience of the tour guides made a tremendous difference to find the right spots. They were very nice. The bus was clean. Overall, everything was very good.
It was hard to identify the tour between all the others that meet in the same place. A small identification of the tour agency is not enough. You could bring something to out stand more.

Wonderful time chasing the northern lights all the way to Finland! Even though the chances were low, our group guides did not give up and we were able to get a peek of the beautiful lights at the end of long 7 hours! Fabulous time!
