We received an email at 6:17p to cancel the tour which was supposed to take place at 7p. I didn’t receive the email until after we had waited outside in the freezing temps for 15 minutes. It should have been canceled way sooner.

After-start cancellation wasted hours of our time

Owner/operator cancelled via phone call after we showed up at the pick-up location at the start time. It was only after calling them that they (first) accused us of showing up to to the wrong location (we did not), then apologized for miscommunication and said they didn't have any guides and cancelled the tour. We were left waiting in the cold for an hour whilst trying to sort this mess... In fairness, this mishap could have been due to our same-day booking, but Viator and/or the operator should not enable such bookings (and send a confirmation email saying the booking worked) if they cannot accommodate these requests!

Kurt was our guide for the aurora tour. Compared to other tours, it is bit on the expensive side comparing the duration of the tour (approx 3hrs). We booked this tour as a last minute decision between our party as it showed the highest percentage of seeing the aurora that day and we do not regret. Kurt was very friendly and gave us a brief summary of the tour plan. We drove about 45mins-1hr and arrived at the first location and did not see the northern lights. Kurt suggested another location and drove about another 30mins and that’s where we saw the lights. Kurt took pictures for us and we received the pictures within 24hrs of the tour. Overall, we were lucky to actually see the lights on the first aurora tour and can’t ask for more. Kurt actually stayed with us for over an hour driving to another spot for better views. We received a brief tour of the city on the way back as it was our first day in Tromso and had many questions. Kurt gave many recommendations of places to go and local restaurants. If you are looking for a small group tour, this is it :)

Le guide était très bien mais nous sommes parti au moment où l aurore boréale était au plus fort car on devait rentrer et en plus nous sommes resté au même endroit

merci pour vos commentaires, nous n'avons pas besoin d'aller dans plus d'endroits lorsque nous voyons les aurores boréales. le but est de trouver une ouverture dans la couche nuageuse pour pouvoir voir les étoiles. Il faudra ensuite attendre l'arrivée des aurores boréales. Best Kurt Arild

Die Tour war sehr schön. Unser Guide Kurt hat uns verschiedene Spots gezeigt. Wir hatten tatsächlich Glück und konnten die Nordlichter an verschiedenen Orten sehen. Immer wieder gern solch eine Tour

Wurde leider 15min vor Beginn abgesagt.

Leider wurde unsere Tour 15min vor Beginn aufgrund „internen Problemen“ abgesagt. Dies fanden wir sehr schade, da der Himmel klar war und die Nordlichter in dieser Nacht an verschiedenen Orten gesichtet wurden. Wir hatten uns wirklich sehr auf die Tour gefreut. Es wurde uns auch kein Verschiebungsdatum angeboten.
