Excellent guide. Good fun. Felt well supported. Not too long but still saw some beautiful scenery and snow.

A great activity!

A great time! Our guide was very sweet and knowledgeable. Easy enough for my 9 year old to keep up and lots of stops for info and photos!

Fun activity in Tromso

Sara_F, Dec 2025
Fun experience with kids even though there wasn’t much snow. Marta was a great and helpful guide and provided educational information.

Magical Snowshoe Walk is a Must Do.

Diane_B, Mar 2025
I highly recommend the guided snowshoe walk. We were a group of six Australians who had never done anything like this before. It was magical walking through the forest as snow was falling. Our guide, Marta, was excellent; patient and very informative. The walk took just over two hours with a few stops for photos and a hot drink and snack. The meeting point instructions were clear. Then there was a short minibus ride to the site for the walk. We have been touring through Finland and Norway - our group agreed the snowshoe walk rates as one of the best activities we've done on this trip. Thank you Marta for a fabulous few hours.

Enjoyable, undemanding walk in the woods

JONATHAN_M, Mar 2025
Very helpful and friendly staff. An enjoyable and undemanding wall through pleasant parkland and woods at city edge.

Quick 10 minute drive to...

Ryan_H, Mar 2025
Quick 10 minute drive to a local park where our guide walked us around. Beautiful views and forest paths. We had never snow shoed so this was a nice introduction. Definitely hooked!

Great fun and beautiful scenery

Julia_B, Feb 2025
Joana was a fantastic guide, really enthusiastic and gave us lots of information about Tromso and Norwegian life. She made it really fun for my family and encouraged games as we walked. Required a basic level of fitness but nothing too strenuous. No skill required at all, very easy to walk in the shoes, even on deep snow. Lovely scenery and pretty views at the top. Great fun!

Make a walk in the snow possible

Mark_R, Jan 2025
Really good outdoor excursion but not too strenuous. Well organised so that the snow shoeing was almost two hours of the total trip. Amazing views of Tromso from the viewpoints and beautiful natural landscape in the forest.

Great experience for a first timer

Josephine_V, Oct 2024
Excellent tour. The guide was phenomenal. He gave us tips on how to use the snow shoe..also identified and gave us information on the various tress there The view was great and the hot drink was a plus point of this tour. Strongly recommend

Worth it!!

Bianca_B, Apr 2024
This was an amazing way to see Tromso a different way. We hiked through the snow and trees. We made it to a viewing point that was beautiful. At that point we had a snack and got drink. defiantly worth it!

Excellent!

Nice Intro to Snowshoeing

Amanda_A, Mar 2024
Maria was great! Enthusiastic and helpful to explain what we were doing and seeing every step along the way. The only change I would make would be to make it an hour longer (3hrs). By the time we travelled to the site and donned our gear we had a little over an hour walk.

Amazing once in a lifetime experience!

Asad_a, Mar 2024
Such a memorable experience! The snowshoes were easy to wear and the hike around the snowy mountains was a once in a lifetime experience. As someone who’s not the most physically fit, there were sometimes I needed to stop for a quick breath but I was never left too far behind and it was overall really fun. Not to mention the black currant tea and snacks they provided at the end! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because there was some confusion on finding the group. We were initially booked for a 10am group, but we got to the meet up point 10 minutes early and there were a bunch of other groups too, turns out our group had left 15 minutes before the allotted time. We went to the storefront and talked to them, they put us on the 2pm booking, and that group left later than expected so there was some confusion. But overall an amazing experience.

Overpriced for what you really get

Adriano_F, Mar 2024
Too short tour and too near the city. I found this Overpriced. The guide was good and pleasant though.

Snowshoeing through a winter wonderland

Andrea_G, Feb 2024
Leia was a great guide as she led us through the snow. She explained how to use the equipment. It was a beautiful park to trek through. My family has a new favorite winter activity.

Good

barneet_s, Feb 2024
Very fun and the guides were great. The hot drink and snack was a nice touch. I wish they did stop more often because it was hard at times with all the hills. It is fairly easy but walked really fast

Great experience and worth doing

Trevor_J, Jan 2024
Fun experience walking wirh shoe shoes, short drive to excellent location for it. Tomi, our guide was brilliant, good with languages, instructions, local knowledge, friendly, etc. Definately recommend!

Wonderful shoe shoeing experience

Angela_F, Jan 2024
The snowshoeing experience was very nice. Just enough of a challenge to get a little bit of a workout. The scenery was breathtaking through the forest. The guide did just the right pace and gave great information along the way about the forest. Breath taking views.

Good but Pricey

Kolin_S, Jan 2024
It was in general a very good tour with background information, a tea and some snacks. However, a bit too pricey for what you get, which is why I deducted one star.

Walk in beautiful surtoundings

Karen_B, Jan 2024
Great opportunity to experience time in a snowy setting. Great for all who enjoy time outside. Easy skill to learn.

Loved it

Cecilia_M, Jan 2024
So much fun! Great guide and the views were beautiful. 10AM is a perfect start time so that you are snowshoeing in the light. Only recommendation is that the walk be longer!

Fabulous snowshoeing experience

Lesley_C, Dec 2023
This was our first experience of snow shoeing and it was really good fun and the snowy landscape was so beautiful. Our guide Lucas was friendly, professional and shared his knowledge about the surrounding area. He provided hot drinks and snacks which was welcomed as it was such a cold day. Thank you so much Lucas for looking after us and making it such an enjoyable snow walk. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable trip into the forest

Mel_F, Feb 2023
Lovely excursion snow shoeing in the forest with our very knowledgeable and friendly guide Julius. Learned quite a bit about Tromsø and Norwegian life which was really interesting. Thank you Julius for another enjoyable and memorable trip. Btw. I think most people could manage this with just a fair level of fitness. It wasn’t too demanding physically.

Snowshoe with snowfalls

Aniza_M, Jan 2023
Great trip for those who never tried snowshoeing before. The guide gave us breaks when we need it. We walked across small forest, hills and wetland. Recommended for those who wants to try the Arctic life. p/s: walking on the snowshoes are easier than you think

Love it ..

dana_a, Jan 2023
I love this experience , the guide and the driver was sooo nice and friendly, it’s really short time 2:00 hours but it’s enough to try snowshoeing..

An Experience

debbisloan, Jan 2023
This was such a fun thing to do. So enjoyed it the time flew by. Taken by car to the top of Tromso and then fitted out with the snowshoes. So much easier than I imagined. Sights pointed out to us by Simon (?) who was also happy to take photographs of us. Highly recommend this tour.

Great
