Nice guide, no shoes

The guide was very nice and worked hard to find a spot of clean sky in very difficult weather. I watns though that they provide clothes but not shoes.

Hello Diana, we're glad to hear you enjoyed our tour, we provide thermal suits but not the shoes, wool under layers, hats, mittens. It's a priority for us that guests not be cold, so before the trip we try to make it as clear as possible what is included. Could you please let us know on booking@northernnorwaytravel.no if you recieved any information that shoes were included or if our information was unclear/misleading? That way we can fix it.

It wasn't a good day to see auroras, cloudy, so we didn't see them. Good organization and guidance, but not importantly we did not get it. I think it should have been cancelled.

Me pareció una muy buena experiencia, desde el comienzo son muy amables; y sobretodo sinceros con los pronosticos del clima. Nosotros nos retrasamos con un par de minutos porque no encontrábamos el lugar, ya estábamos como a media cuadra, pero me contactaron para saber si ya estábamos en camino y se preocuparon porque llegáramos al lugar sin problema. Al llegar estaban explicando que las probabilidades para ver auroras estaban muy reducidas por el pronostico del clima que teniamos de 30-40% de verlas, pero que las buscariamos y con suerte encontrariamos aunque sea unas luces; y eso ya era suficiente para aventurarnos a cazar algunas. También fue sincero en decirnos que si el pronóstico hubiese sido menos prometedor nos hubieran dicho sobre reagendar el día de la búsqueda. Comenzamos la búsqueda subiendonos en una van donde caben como 17 personas. Nuestro guía Pablo y su compañero Gudleiv fueron muy simpáticos y amables. Pablo nos contó sobre curiosidades de Tromso y las auroras boreales y nos recomendó algunos lugares a visitar que no nos podemos perder de aquí. Tuvimos de primera parada una pequeña tienda para ir al baño y comprar algún aperitivo o golosina; después hicimos una parada para ver si se veía algo en el cielo y efectivamente se encontraban unas auroras, fue muy bonito, nos tomamos fotos y estuvimos observando un poco en busca de que aparecieran más. Nos movimos a otro punto para cenar, nos prestaron unos trajes especiales ya que hacía mucho frío (-9° C) y cenamos estofado de reno (que estuvo muy rico), sentados en piel de reno alrededor de una fogata que Pablo preparó para nosotros; después nos movimos a otro lugar para buscar más auroras, pasamos la frontera de Finlandia en busca de ellas y tuvimos la suerte de ver otras, aunque eran más tenues, seguían siendo muy bonitas. Ahí nos sirvió chocolate caliente y galletas (qué también estaban muy ricos), nos quedamos unos minutos más ahí disfrutando de la noche y después emprendimos camino de regreso a nuestros lugares de alojamiento, nos llevaron a nuestro hotel porque estaba en el centro de Tromso y los que se habían hospedado el lugares lejos los dejaron en un sitio de taxis para que pudieran llegar a sus hoteles.

Antonio, nuestro guía, es un tipazo espectacular. De estas personas bonitas, entrañables, con una risa enérgica. Dio todo de su parte y más para que fuera una nochevieja increíble. Aunque es cierto que la idea es ver las auroras, es muy incontrolable, pero monta una experiencia alrededor de cosas que sí controla. La noche era horrible, ¿qué si vimos las auroras? Por supuesto, y un montón. Paramos en un sitio y dijo, aquí va a ser, y no nos movimos de allí porque allí fue. Muchas gracias, Antonio.
