This is a very smooth tour with time to walk around in your own. Great food and shops! Guide was wonderful, speaking many languages to accommodate everyone!

Dean is a great guide and very informative. He was clearly passionate about Slovenia and it's history. Lake Bled is as beautiful as the pics and was very atmospheric during our visit due to the early morning mist. Do try the delicious traditional custard cake, kremsnita with a strong cup of Slovenian coffee, absolutely yummie! Lubljana is a pretty, chilled capital city featuring picturesque bridges and Lubljana Castle. We tried the local dish, Jota and had plenty of time to walk around taking in the vibes. We hope to return to this beautiful country in the future to visit Piran and other coastal areas. This excursion is highly recommended. Thank you Dean for making our first visit to Slovenia special ♥️

The actual tour itself was great but the organisation building up to the day of the tour was awful. There is nowhere near enough space here to describe my experience but let's just say it wasn't good.

Our Tour guide Dean was very knowledgeable and made our trip a pleasure we would highly recommend him. Maybe Viator could give the option to do two separate excursions so as to give more time in each destination to fully appreciate both places.

Our guide and driver was Dean. Safe driver, full of information about the history of Slovenia. Beautiful drive to Lake Bled. Plenty of time to hike around for great pictures and to enjoy coffee and the famous cream cake. Ljubljana is a beautiful city. Hiked up to the castle and sat by the riverside enjoying wine and local treats. Dean was very friendly and made the tour very enjoyable. Well worth it.

We were told that we could not go to Lake Bled because of heavy traffic.
Meanwhile, all the other tourists at our hotel went to Lake Bled, and the locals laughed hysterically when we told them the traffic was the cause of half of our tour being canceled. Our tour guide drove us to Ljubljana and told us to take three hours to explore the city on our own and meet him back after lunch. He told us it was too much traffic to pick us up at our hotel, and after asking to be dropped off, he said he would see if he could drop us off.

We understand that missing out on visiting Lake Bled was disappointing. However, the traffic conditions that day were beyond our control and significantly impacted our planned itinerary. This situation has been widely discussed in the media, and the severity of the traffic delays was unprecedented.
The decision to skip Lake Bled was made with the best interests of our clients in mind. You were informed in advance about the possibility of skipping Lake Bled due to traffic, and you still chose to join the tour. Given this prior information, we find it unfair to rate us negatively for a situation you were made aware of beforehand.
Regarding the hotel pickup and drop-off, there was an extraordinary political situation in Trieste at the time. A G7 ministers' meeting resulted in significant security measures and roadblocks, making it impossible to pick you up or drop you off directly at your hotel. You were also informed of this situation in advance.
Your negative review appears to be based solely on your disappointment, despite our efforts to communicate potential issues beforehand. Sometimes, there are circumstances beyond our control, and it is unreasonable to penalize us for events we cannot influence.

A lot of coach travel to have such a short time at lake, guide told us we didn't have time to visit Castle.
At Ljubljana the guide took us around the closed areas, everywhere closed on a Sunday, not a good day to visit!!
Failed to show us the nicest part near the canal.

The tour was to be a Max of 15 people and instead it was a tour bus of 60-70. I would have booked a private tour had I known. We didn’t discover there would be more people until after we departed and were told we were going elsewhere to pickup others. We ended up returning 2 hours later than told.
I do not blame the guide - he did a decent job but Viator support handled this so poorly we will never use their service again. This was a total Bait and Switch

While we appreciate your perspective, we respectfully disagree with it. We find it unfair to falsely claim that there were 60 to 70 people on the tour bus, as such a large vehicle does not even exist in our country. While it's true that we used a larger vehicle, many of the seats were completely empty. It was made clear at the meeting point what type of vehicle we would be using, and you still chose to proceed with the tour. Additionally, you later requested a private driver to pick you up in Lake Bled. It appears that you may have been expecting a private tour from the beginning, and upon realizing there were other participants, you began to express dissatisfaction. We want to emphasize that our guide did an excellent job and went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a wonderful experience on the tour.

Lake Bled is so beautiful. Our tour guide was great. Lot’s of information to share. Beautiful countryside to see on the ride. Ljubljana was had a lovely city center along the river.

This was a great day trip from the Triste Cruise port. The tour operator (Koper Tours) was great with communication and easy to find when we got off the ship. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this. The only down side was that we didn't realize we would not have time to rent a boat and make it out to the island in Bled Lake. We only had about 45 minutes at the lake, enough to take pictures and get a piece of cream cake, but the boat ride was not possible within that time frame.

We started our tour at Trieste. Our tour guide, Dean, was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. First, we visited Lake bled and then Ljubljana. He explained the historical and cultural aspects of the tour very well. The folks running the tour are very accommodative and easy to reach and communicate with. I recommend this tour if you like to enjoy the best of Ljubljana while not having enough time.

This was a good tour but not quite as advertised. We left Trieste slightly late at 09:15 and got to Lake Bled at 11am. We were told we had an hour at Lake Bled whereas the tour advertises 2hrs there. We left at midday for Llubjana and got there at approx 12:50. Our guide gave us a short tour and told us at 13:15 we had to meet at 2:45 do we had 1hr and 30 mins to explore on our own. We arrived back in Trieste at 4pm.
Llubjana is beautiful and so is Lake Bled and wee worth a visit. This tour just did not allow enough time to allow us to appreciate our location fully.
For me, the trip was spoilt by the tour guides driving. He drove at speeds of 130kmh on the motorway in terrential rain that meant he could barely see the car in front of him with the spray being generated. He drove much too close to the car in front and that car needed to apply brakes harshly there was no way he could have stopped in time. Indeed he narrowly avoided the car in front when they slowed down and narrowly avoided a motorcyclist.
I had queries about our pick up time and location before the tour as it was not confirmed on the information from Viator.
I rang Kotor Tours on the number provided several times, I text them and WhatsApp’d them and got no response. I had to speak to Viator customer service directly who managed to get back to me late at night on the night before the trip which makes me think this is a tour run by a couple of guys with a mini bus and not a professional outfit.
The locations are worth visiting . I’m not sure if we just got them on a bad day when they were in a rush or whether this is the normal experience and service they provide.

Lake Bled was cloudy and rainy when we went, but Ljubljana was beautiful. Our bus was late originally but the crew rallied and we got back in time. Had plenty of time in Ljubljana, Will have to go back for some Lake Bled!
