Is interesting to know another country. I like the guide. She was very simpathic. Piran is a charming city.
We were picked up at the industrial port in Trieste. Van was nice and large enough. We had to stop to pick up some other guests then visited Koper. Not a whole lot there-town square with some older buildings.
Then we were driven to Piran-a seaside Slovenian town. Included in our ticket was a tasting of wine and some bread, fish, and cheese. Our guide told us interesting I information about the area and gave us clear instructions to meet after a guided tour. We climbed high up to the church for an amazing view.
We changed our number from 15 to 12 and notified far in advance, but tour company wouldn’t change our Price. People were added to our excursion so we didn’t have extra room or anything. So if you have any changes, I guess I’d cancel and rebook to get the number of people and correct price.

Great views, great guide in Nikka! Lots of information given. Here's the issues that need addressing. 13 people all arrive ON-TIME! 2 people arrive 19 minutes late and we had to wait for them!!! So wrong to waste my time because 2 individuals could care less and not respect our time. LEAVE THEM AND GO!
Secondly, it's a tour of old Koper, Piran and Trieste. NOW we have to walk slowly because 1 elderly person is in a 4 wheel scooter and has to go super slow because of uneven pavers, sidewalks, etc... SO WRONG! The ship, NCL GEM, has mobility tours and Viator should either have the option or let these Mobility Challenged individuals know it is probably not for them.
Again, loved the tour but we lost time from the slowest people...
Mia was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She explained the history and current culture of the area.
There were just 4 of us on this tour. We had a great tour guide who gave us a running commentary the whole trip. Even though it rained hard all day, we had a great trip. Loved Piran.
Had a lovely day seeing the coastline of Slovenla. Piran was beautiful. The winding streets and the beautiful historic wall was something to see. The North Adriatic Sea is stunning.
Our guide, Dejan, was very informative and engaging. Provided us with much history. We enjoyed our day.
Piran is truly a beautiful little town, we enjoyed the short walk around the town with our tour guide and also enjoyed the wine tasting very much.

Our one-day tour of Slovenia was an absolute delight. Our two tour guides, Dajan and Dean, were exceptional and kept us entertained throughout the entire experience with their engaging conversation. We were particularly impressed by their enthusiasm and genuine love for their country. The vans were spotless and surprisingly comfortable, making the journey enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Trieste.
Guide was very knowledgeable on the history and answering our questions. A little to much free time in Piran in the heat.
Dejan met us across the street from the cruise port in Trieste. He was driving a nice van that could transport 7 guests, although there were only 4 of us. We left town to head into Slovenia. It was a nice ride with some beautiful views. Dejan filled us in on some of the history and politics of the area. We thought Portorose was charming and a welcome relief from the crowds on other excursions. We did climb up and down some steep steps and navigated a few narrow and steep alleys. It was picturesque and the promenade was gorgeous.
Piran-a walled coastal Slovenian city with history. We enjoyed our time with Dean. He gave us a good taste of Slovenian lifestyle.
Very interesting and pretty small group tour. Ernest ( Ernie ) was excellent and had great knowledge of the area.
Dean was a fantastic guide with great humour and a real passion and advocate for Slovenia! Slovenia was absolutely beautiful and will have to come back and see more of the country!
It was a great tour. Accommodations were good as well. Visiting Koper and most of the time in Piran. Site seeing and opportunities to take pictures. In Piran there is plenty of free time after walking around with the tour guide explaining all about the city. Our tour guide was Ernest (Ernie) and he was awesome. Very friendly and explained in detail and answered all our questions. Very kind as well taking in consideration most of the group were elderly. Excellent tour and thanks to Ernest, and will definitely recommend to friends and anyone.

Dean was a fantastic, passionate and knowledgeable guide or is fluent in multiple languages. It was a great day , but I would recommend an extra hour of free time in Piran as it was a bit rushed.

Very interesting tour through the countryside and historical areas. Guide was helping us to understand past and present events in this complex region of Europe. Town of Piran was fascinating and local hospitality was very warm.
Our tour guide “Ernie” was very personable, spoke clearly and loved talking about the area and people. Well organized tour.
Our guide, Ernest Prislic was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history and was able to answer any questions we had. He was always aware of the group and our safety. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The only improvement would be to add an hour to the time so more free time could be had in Piran.

Dean was a fantastic guide who put his professional and personal heart into our journey. Also standing at the church of St George with the panoramic view of three countries, Slovenia, Trieste in Italy and Croatia. It was breathtaking.

We loved the entire tour but the stop at a local restaurant was a highlight. Where we tried some delicious starters and had three Slovenian wines.
Wished we had brought swim clothes to take a quick swim in the Adriatic Sea during our free time.

Ernie was an amazing tour guide. He was so knowledgeable, Friendly and very considerate. He really made our tour one of the best we have ever taken.
The ride to Piran, Slovenia in a nice nine passenger van was wonderful. Our guide, Ernie, was delightful and informative. He was a perfect guide. The five hour trip was ideal for us cruise passengers where we left at 9:00 am and returned at 2:15 pm. Great was to see the countryside. Need to be able to walk up steps and inclines to reach sites above the waterline.
The trip included some truly spectacular views. Please note, this is by small van NOT by boat. The picture on the Viator ad is a bit misleading. Some Hungarian travelers were disappointed, I'm afraid.
However, the guide was very nice and took us some back roads, so we got different views. He was also Slovinian. His English was very good ( Ernest).
