Overview

When your cruise ends in Trieste, make your journey to Venice seamless with one of three options. Choose from a comfortable van transfer to Venice, a transfer plus guided walking tour of the city, or a deluxe tour combining a transfer with a private water taxi, guided tour, and a gondola ride. You can go at your own pace, since this is not a large group tour, and have your luggage handled during the experience.

The pick up and...

The pick up and everything was on time although we were packed in like sardines and I thought that we had a private water taxi. I also thought we were going to be picked up right in front of our hotel. It turns out if we ordered a water taxi from the Rialto hotel that it would’ve picked us up right in front of the hotel. My husband is on a walker and I made it clear that we wanted to be picked up at the hotel. Although it was to the left of the hotel up and downstairs.

After reviewing your booking, we can confirm that you selected the “Transfer Only” option. In our tour description, we specify that this option includes ground transportation from the port to Piazzale Roma, which is the furthest point in Venice accessible by car. Options that include water taxis and guided tours are part of the “Transfer plus Deluxe Tour” package. We also mentioned in our messages prior to your trip that drop-off would be at Piazzale Roma and provided guidance on how to reach your hotel from there. It seems there may have been a misunderstanding during the phone booking process with Viator, and we’re truly sorry for any confusion this caused—especially given your husband’s mobility needs. Driver arrived over 1 hour later than agreed

Driver arrived 1 hr later than the 7:30am agreed upon time but our cruise ship did arrived very early at 5:00am. It was very pricy for how long we had to wait. Should have ordered the transfer to arrive later & got off the ship later.

Beautiful Drive

The only challenge we had was that the driver didn't speak much English and wasn't able to answer questions we had about things we saw en route to our destination. He was early to pick us up which was great as we disembarked early. The drive was beautiful.

Venice in 5 hours

Gondola ride. Rialto bridge. Nice stop for a drink. And of course our wonder guide Claudia I can’t say enough about how wonderful Claudia was. She interacted well with our daughter and son in law but also was aware of my husband’s difficulties with stairs. She really knew Venice and tried to keep us out of crowds as much as possible.

Incredible day in Venice- our guide Natalia took is all around the city and shared so much information. She was wonderful. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The car service picked us up as soon as we got off the ship in Trieste and drove us to Venice. Very easy.
