What To Expect

After pickup at your hotel (select hotels only) or a convenient meeting place in south Tenerife, travel to the village of Taucho in the mountains northwest of the southern coastal resorts. Wear a warm jacket, sunglasses, and trainers or lace-up shoes, and bring a camera or video camera.

Perched on lush hills at an altitude of 2,624 feet (800 meters), Taucho offers some of Tenerife’s best paragliding conditions and scenery. Travel to the paragliding site, and after a safety briefing, don the provided helmet and strap into your glider with your pilot-instructor. As a passenger, your only input will be a short run at take-off and landing. Once you're in the air, all you then need to do is sit back, relax, and drink in the incredible views. No prior experience is required and all safety equipment is included.

After take-off, float into the sky on the gentle thermals. Then, during your flight (duration varies depending on wind conditions), admire the bird’s-eye views over Tenerife’s coast, with its whitewashed villages, cliffs, resorts, and Atlantic below.

Descend back down and after landing, return by air-conditioned vehicle back to the original start point, where your experience concludes.

Please note: A DVD of your paragliding experience will be available to purchase after your flight (own expense).

Poor experience- we did not land at the beach as advertised but on an ugly deserted building site next to the golf course just below us. The mood was bad - we felt just like tourists being ripped off.
