Begin your coastal adventure in Los Cristianos, where you’ll meet your instructor and group. All the necessary gear—wetsuits, kayaks, water shoes, life vests, and snorkeling equipment—is provided to save you the hassle of organizing rentals separately.
With your guide leading the way, set off on a sea kayaking journey between pristine beaches and tranquil bays, all under the shadow of the majestic Guaza Mountains. Keep an eye on the water, not just the views, as you might spot playful pods of wild dolphins, including bottlenose and striped species.
Midway, pause for a snorkeling interlude before paddling back. Your return journey offers a panoramic view of Tenerife's coastline and the majestic Mount Teide, rounding off an unforgettable oceanic excursion.

Brought for a present for my wife, We've never been Kayaking before but with clear instructions from our guide Mario we had no problems at all.
It was a fantastic experience, we got to see sea turtles and dolphins and had time to do some snorkeling which was brilliant. Mario was a great guide and I would highly recommend. A great days adventure.

A lovely kayaking adventure! The guide kept the group at a medium to fast pace, who was chatty with everyone and explained the coast well.
We saw 2 Hammerhead sharks, lots of dolphins and a fish farm, followed by snorkelling by the rocks in a quiet bay.
Overall you travel around 6km and out at sea for the full allotted time, so you get your moneys worth.

We had such a great time with Lucia! We picked the first tour time of the day, hoping the waves would be calmer, and it worked out pretty well! We saw dolphins and sea turtles - up close! Very cool.
Pro tip! Don’t forget water!!! We were in a rush to make the meeting time and completely forgot to stop to grab some water bottles. Lucia noticed my wife wasn’t feeling great and checked on her periodically. When we got back, she brought her some water. Truly a kind and experienced guide - highly recommend. The snorkeling was so fun! There were so many fish around 11am. If you’re adventurous and willing to be a little bit sore the next day, you need to do this in Los Cristianos! And then afterwards get lunch and shop on Paseo Marítimo or go to the beach! It’s such a cute area overall. Thank you Xplore Tenerife, we had an awesome time!

Brilliant experience, seen dolphins,🐬, shark🦈 , fish 🐟 🐠 & a turtle 🐢, only thing you have to be relatively fit or have a double kayak so someone can take over for you 😅.
Azael was an experienced tour guide who obviously enjoys his work & meeting new people 😌👍.

My husband, my 14 year old daughter and I did this fun kayak and snorkelling activity! Our guide Paolo was friendly, helpful and really knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. He was also very respectful of the animals we observed. I would really recommend this to anyone who loves the water, wants to do some exercise and enjoy the wildlife.

Great experience for a more active day in Tenerife. Our Guide Milan was really great, we saw some sharks which was amazing. The waves were a bit high the day when we went which caused some people to get a bit seasick, however overall experience was really great :)) Highly recommend.

Me my daughter and her boyfriend went out with javier and had the best time. His knowledge and energetic attitude was brilliant. Spoke perfect English and made the trip good fun. We saw dolphins and a couple of turtles on the trip along with loads of fish while snorkelling.

It was fun—about two hours of paddling (approx 3 miles)… the snorkeling was not the best in the world but did see some parrot fish, a puffer fish, and either a turtle or a rock! Just kidding, the guide did see the turtle and pointed it out to us. The dolphins were probably about 1/4 of a mile away (you cannot approach because they go to a private fishery to eat)—it was cool to see them but it was far away. The guide was great and very informative for everyone. Thank you Lucia!!

Amazing Kayak & Snorkel Adventure with Dolphins and Turtles!
We took the Tenerife Turtle & Dolphin Kayak Tour on May 16th at 10:30 AM, and it was a awesome 3-hour experience!
During the kayak portion, we got to see dolphins, a fish farm, sea turtles, and beautiful coastal views. Since this is the open ocean, the water is a bit cold, but the tour provides you with a wetsuit and life vest. Make sure to wear clothing that allows you to paddle comfortably.
For the snorkeling part, we saw different types of fish swimming at depths of 6 to 15 meters around stunning rock formations and open water. If you choose to snorkel, you need to be prepared to safely exit and re-enter your kayak in deep open water. Our guide gave us excellent instructions on how to do this safely. However, if you prefer not to snorkel, you can easily stay in the kayak and just enjoy the water and the beautiful surroundings.
As an added bonus, they take photos during the tour that are available afterward. It is a fantastic way to get high-quality shots of the experience without worrying about risking your own camera in the water!
Finding the meeting location can be a bit tricky. Our taxi driver had problems finding the place because he wasn't familiar with the area and gave excuses, which made communication challenging. To help future travelers: look for Edificio Cristianmar. It is a white building with rounded balconies right by the sea at the end of the street. The office, Xplore Tenerife, is located on the ground floor.
The staff here are absolutely awesome and make the whole experience highly enjoyable.
Note: They also offer mountain bike excursions at this location! I wish I had known that beforehand, as I definitely would have booked that tour with them too

This was a wonderful tour. We were lucky enough to see several dolphins and turtles while kayaking. The snorkeling portion was great as well, the visibility was perfect. Our guide Max, was very knowledgeable and professional.

Ascari (the instructor) was great. Looked after us well. Great English. Happy guy. Found 1 x gigantic turtle at the surface for 2 minutes. Dolphins spotted but about 200m away unfortunately with the other set of kayakers. That’s nature! Nice afternoon out though. Maybe morning feeding and the marine life is more active!?!

You need good waterproof suncream, drinking water and adequate fitness but you may see dolphins and turtles if Marco rings them first.
There's good instructions from the guide throughout. Be careful with loose items, one pair of sunglasses got lost when a couple got back into completely the wrong canoe and upended another single canoe in the process. A strapped down container is provided for your locker key back at base where you can leave your belongings. You can also strap down your flip flops.
If you don't have much upper body strength getting back into the kayak is a challenge. Fortunately Marco our instructor dragged me back in twice but it was undignlfied to say the least!
Overall a worthwhile trip but you must be willing to pay attention for your own safety.
Don't underestimate the challenge, one canoe had to towed back by Marco as the occupants struggled and im pretty sure I will ache tomorrow.
You may be asked to take your canoe back to the meeting point on a little dolly if you are on a later tour so be prepared to pull your weight!

Not an very easy activity - be ready it will take 2,5-3 hrs. Jessica was our guide - very nice one! We saw only dolphins, turtles decided to rest this time. But anyways it is amazing experience. Of course all depends on weather but suggest to try.
