Smaller Whale watching day out
This was a lovely boat trip, drinks and food were included and staff came around several times asking if you wanted anything (wine, beer, coke, water included), or you could go to the bar and ask for a drink Nice lunch too. I've been on similar trips in the past, and I enjoyed the smaller, friendly feel of this one. The local operator was White Tenerife, and their staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw quite a few pilot whales and a lot of flying fish.

The guides were very...
The guides were very knowledgeable about the local sea life and passionate about what they do. We saw multiple groups of whales during the tour. The group size was pretty small so it was a nice experience. Very respectful of the whales, keeping distance allowing them to come closer by themselves. Would highly recommend.

Great experience and special seeing a large family of whales swim alongside the boat
This was an excellent trip the whole family enjoyed. We arrived at the docks and were shown quickly to a small well maintained boat. We were seated and quickly on our way to see a large family of whales, then, returning close to the shore there was an opportunity to swim (we decided not to), food and drink before we made the trip back to the docks. Overall the trip lasted around 3 hours. The hosts were excellent. Explaining everything clearly, having a good laugh with the guests (this experience is a smaller more personalised group) and looked after us well. We did unfortunately pick a day where the sea was a little rough. Everyone was fine for the journey out but we quickly succumbed to sea sickness one by one. The hosts were great and looked after us really well. Seeing the whales swimming close to the boat was special! If I was change anything I would change the day we went for calmer seas but this isn't the fault of the trip organisers. In fact they had checked the weather and contacted us to ask we came earlier as winds were due to pick up later in the day. Also worth noting that for safety reasons when out at sea it's not possible to walk around the boat. This is really sensible, but it does mean moving around to get better pictures is not easy. Once near the shore where seas were calmer they did allow guests to go around the boat including sitting out front deck to get pictures. We came away despite sea sickness really pleased we did this experience and I'd definitely recommend this due to the small group size which gives a more personal experience and better view of the whales

Friendly crew made a real effort.
Friendly crew who made a real effort to make the day fun. Good communication before our pick up from the hotel and throughout the cruise. Great, plentiful selection of drinks on offer and a simple offering of tapas too. We didn’t get to see dolphins on this occasion but saw a good number of Pilot Whales and the captain was able to get the catamaran right next to some of them. Would recommend and consider doing again if we return to Adeje

Not seeing something you are looking for?

The Canary Islands are a prized destination for animal lovers, as several species of whales make their way here throughout the year. These Tenerife whale-watching tours let you catch a glimpse of these amazing creatures, including sperm whales, pilot whales, finback whales, and even dolphins. You’re not likely to see this many cetaceans from the shore, so hopping on a boat with an expert guide is something every visitor should experience.
