    A day discovering Tenerife

    Stanislava_K, Jun 2026
We joined this tour on the third day of our stay in Tenerife, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Victor, our guide, picked us up in the morning, and our first destination was the northern part of the island, the Anaga region. There, we enjoyed a beautiful hike through a fairy-tale-like green forest. I would recommend bringing a windbreaker and a pair of sneakers you don't mind getting a little dirty. Afterwards, we headed towards Teide National Park, making several stops along the way to admire the stunning views. It felt as though we had travelled to another planet in just half an hour, walking above a sea of white clouds that looked like the frothy milk on your morning cappuccino. Unfortunately, access to the park itself was closed due to roadworks, but we were still able to enjoy breathtaking mountain views and almost Martian landscapes from several viewpoints. Sunscreen and a cap are definitely recommended, as the sun at 2,000 metres above sea level is no joke. Following the hike, we stopped at a lovely local restaurant recommended by Victor and enjoyed some delicious food. The day was packed with memorable experiences and beautiful scenery. Victor took great care of us throughout the tour and shared many interesting facts about the island's nature, climate, local life, and some of his favourite places. After the tour, he even sent us a list of recommendations for restaurants and beaches, which we used during the rest of our stay on the island and were very happy with. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys hiking and spectacular landscapes and wants to experience the diverse and ever-changing spirit of Tenerife.

The one and only guide you need in Tenerife

    Claudiu_C, Jan 2026
Amazing adventure throughout some of the best locations around Tenerife. Victor is the only guide you’ll ever need. Not only is he very passionate and well prepared, he also tailors the experience around your needs and when the weather doesn’t allow to get the best experience in a location, he will come up with another spot that you can visit. It looks like going around with a friend that knows perfectly the beauties of the place in which he lives, and that takes amazing photos. Honestly, I don’t think you need a different guide from Victor, he is all you need in your adventure around Tenerife.

Hiking plus photos with such a cool guy? Count me in

    Jacquelynn_F, Nov 2025
Victor was UH-MAZING! He picked us up from the Main Square which was super easy to find. He talked the whole time we were in the car. He taught us about the town, how it was developed, the nature, you name it he was able to say something about it. If he didnt know the answer, he even reached out to us after the tour and told us the answer. His driving was calm and chill, no worries there. He took us out in the pouring rain and was such a trooper hiking with us out there. He took us to a local spot to eat which was FANTASTIC. He even does photography, so he took pictures of us out in the field and sent them to us via Google docs. When he dropped us off, he even gave us Canary Island chocolates which were fire. He such a cool guy, I would 1000% recommend this tour.

Great guide for a customizable excursion

A great experience from start to finish with Victor. He’s a knowledgeable Tour Guide who customize his tours to the needs of his group and gives a very personal touch that is much appreciated. My kids and I had a great time with him exploring many of Tenerife’s natural wonders. One word of advice: if you’d like to do things that require tickets, such as the cable car to the top of the volcano or the lava tubes, make sure you coordinate with Victor in advance as these things can sell out. Lastly, an extra set of bonus points for Victor for being a great photographer and bringing his own camera along to capture photos of our adventures.

    Gorgeous Tenerife, weird guide

    I_M, Dec 2023
A few friends of mine went on a bus tour of Tenerife and said that they would've enjoyed it more if it weren't for a crowded bus. i thought it was my chance to do just that: get the same experience without the crowds, plus the promise of professional photos. My initial impressions were very positive: Victor turned up on time, seemed well prepared (with the easy hiking routes and a bottle of water), and cheerfully chatted throughout our journey. And to be very clear: Teide, Anaga, and La Laguna are among the most beautiful places in Tenerife and I enjoyed seeing them immensely. So, for Tenerife itself - 5 stars. The good points ended there, though. After dispensing with some basic Wikipedia facts about the Guanches and the volcanos, Victor talked about himself for the rest of the day - his life in Moldova, his work in Greece, his trips, his friends, his opinions about the world taken from some fringe corners of the internet. I found his ramblings amusing, but I wouldn't say that they helped me to get to know Tenerife better. It was particularly jarring to walk through La Laguna, where his answers got especially curt and vague: "What is interesting about this part of town? - Architecture." "Whose museum is this? - Some rich guy who lived here." I thought he was tired and didn't press further, but ultimately felt strange that my friends got the same or more detailed information on their bus tour at a fraction of the price. Anyway, I thought, at least I'd get great photos made with a professional camera! Throughout the trip, Victor showed me where to pose and took many photos, murmuring "Beautiful, beautiful!" every time. I also asked him to take pictures of landscapes without me in the frame - surely, they would've been better than what I could do on my smartphone, right? A few days after the trip I asked Victor when he could share the photos, even without post-processing to save his time. Well... At first, I thought he'd shared a folder with bad tries because the quality was laughable. Some photos had weird angles, where my head was bigger than my torso. Most had no sense of scale or perspective, so it was impossible to say I was in front of huge mountains and not in our backyard. One third of the photos was just of my back - taken when Victor was trekking behind me on the trail. I could understand one photo as an artefact, maybe two, but THIRTEEN nearly identical photos of my back - just... why? At this point I politely asked Victor if he had more photos, especially landscapes alone, hoping that maybe there were just a few more interesting options. Imagine my shock when he lashed out at me instead. He told me that I was super bad at posing, that I was in a bad mood the whole trip, and that I made it all super difficult for him. This was such an unexpected and incongruous tirade, I didn't even know how to react. We had just a nice, normal trip, talking and joking along the way and he complimented me for posing all the time. Like, what the hell happened?... I didn't know if he confused me with some other client or if he didn't want to admit how bad his photos were, I just withdrew from the conversation at this point. But I know that the choice of angles, perspective, and moment of a photo is on the photographer. Knowing facts about a tour is on the guide. Claiming that anything of these is somehow a client's fall is just petty and unprofessional. (The mountains and forests were also posing the best they could, I'm sure.) So, yeah, 5 stars for the gorgeous locations, minus 1 star for the guide's autobiography instead of a proper tour, minus 1 star for absolutely ridiculous photos, minus 1 star for a very rude and unprofessional behaviour. I talked to my friends afterwards and showed them the photos. Once they stopped laughing their faces off, we agreed that this wouldn't be an option we'd honestly recommend to anyone. Bus tours have their quirks, but at least the guides know their job and prices are low. The best alternative even for solo travellers or couples is actually to just rent a car - there are good parking slots everywhere and it's easy to follow other tourists on the trails.

    Response from Host, Mar 2025

This person was behaving strange from the beginning of the tour, related that isn’t much into photos and prefers just few natural ones and not posed, so I decided to shoot mostly natural photos of her while walking, hiking or enjoying the scenery. During the tour I told her that the photos usually take from a couple of days to a week to be ready. On the 2nd day she started to ask nervously “Where are my photos?!” Imagine this person was the one who didn’t ask much about photos at the beginning of the tour and started to ask about them desperately on the second day, utterly weird behavior. I left my friends during that weekend day to arrive home earlier and edit her photos in rush. In total I selected the best 42 photos I’ve made of her. I can admit that the photos didn’t get the best result, but when you have a person that simple isn’t photogenic and even don't want to help with the photos, the photographer cannot get to the best results. After that she demanded that the 42 photos are too few and I’m hiding the other photos and to send immediately all of them. I was trying to explain her politely, that during editing, half of the photos go to the bin due to the bad light, focus etc. She still didn’t believe me and continued asking for photos. Well, after I destroyed my weekend leaving my friends due to her disrespectful behavior towards me, my time and my work, I told her that she was among the most strange and difficult persons I had at my tours. A perfect example that no matter how much you try your best, there will always appear out of nowhere a person that probably isn’t satisfied with their life and will try to mess with yours. The rest of her words about the tour, I don’t want to comment, it’s her personal view enriched with invented lies about Wikipedia info etc.

    Wonderful experience !

A great experience for hikers, photographers, culinary enthusiasts, or anyone seeking to explore the world beyond the sun and surf for which Tenerife is justly famous.

    Amazing Tenerife tour

    Georgia_B, Sep 2023
Had the most amazing day with Victor, he gave us a fantastic tour of the island and made adjustments to still provide a great outing despite the wildfires. He had so much knowledge of the area and knew some great spots lesser known to tourists. He also took us to an amazing restaurant for lunch which was truly a hidden gem. Victor also does photography and took some amazing pictures of my partner and me which he then shared with us only 2 days later. I couldn't recommend this highly enough !

    Great day out

The viewpoints in the anaga rainforest were mindblowing. Very flexible guy who offered alternative destinations due to the wildfires. He took some incredible photos during the day, then edited them and sent them to me free of charge. The other traveler was hungover, miserable and made it a point that she'd been here done that, which I don't think was appropriate or respectful to Victor. Would recommend to anyone who might be nervous of using guides, as I suffer from anxiety and Victor made me feel safe, comfortable and appreciated. The gaviota beach at the end, the beautiful drives and his stories of life and of people really inspired me and I will take on board the advice he gave me. Very easy to talk to. Grateful for his assistance and understanding on the Sunday as wasn't feeling too well.

    Will be back :)

My experience with Victor was superb. I saw not only the usual tourist sites, but several that were certainly off the beaten track. Victor pointed out and explained many concepts of our tour, making the trip very enjoyable and entertaining. He did a wonderful job and was a charming companion, I can only recomend him.
