This cruise with high tea was fabulous!!! The boat was a large, cruising yacht with plenty of room for everybody. They assigned you to a beautiful table near the window and start you off with glass of champagne, from there tea and coffee, sweets and treats are delivered to your table. This cruise is extremely enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend and would do it again in a minute.

We had such a lovely afternoon! The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to give us the best High tea experience. The food was beautifully presented, freshly made and delicious. Topped by stunning views through large paned windows, this was a perfect day to spend with loved ones!

What To Expect

After making your own way in the afternoon to the dock at Circular Quay, set sail aboard your deluxe motor yacht. Upon boarding your vessel, receive a glass of sparkling wine. You can also snack on a high tea that offers a choice of delicious nibbles such as finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, delicate desserts and hot tea and coffee.

Multiple exterior decks and spacious cabin interiors with large viewing windows offer great views of iconic Sydney landmarks as you slowly cruise past them. As your sturdy boat glides smoothly around the harbor, have time to snap photos of classic sights including Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

At the end of your 90-minute cruise, your captain returns you to the dock to end your tour.

A Relaxing Cruise with Beautiful Harbour Views

We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon on the Sydney Harbour high tea cruise. The views of the Harbour were beautiful and, of course, being out on the water is always special. It’s a lovely way to take in the scenery and enjoy some time relaxing. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, and the service was smooth. The food and drinks were enjoyable, though fairly standard for a high tea experience. Overall, it was a nice outing with beautiful views — a good option if you’re looking for a relaxed way to see the Harbour.

Delightful trip even with the rain. We boarded the boat, they sat us at our reserved a table, brought a glass of champagne, tea pot (about 5 different tea packs were on the table) and 3-tier tray of finger foods. All delicious. You do have the option to order wines, hard liqueurs, non-alcoholic drinks, side snacks and other options while onboard for a fee. No narration of the scenery you’re passing, just light music playing in the background. It was relaxing and enjoyable.

We loved our experience on the harbor cruise!! They gave us plentiful and yummy treats! We had pretty great views with window seats. However my husband kept getting caught in the sun and was unbearably hot at least 90% of the time. So he didn’t enjoy it too much. But I love the ambience and luxury this cruise showcased

This was an incredible culinary experience! The sights of the Harbour are beautiful but secondary to the delicious food offered! Delicious sandwiches, scones with preserves and clotted cream, and a wide assortment of small desserts, this high tea was well worth the money. The staff is so friendly and helpful, from the boat crew to all the waitstaff.

Not what I’d expect from this company

Not overly rapt with this experience! The food was very ordinary - sandwiches were a little stale the pastries a little dry and the selection of sweets were horrible! One was dripping syrup and looks very old! The strawberries with chocolate were good - the scones were great! Probably the only thing on the 3 trays that was great! Service was good but I noticed a lot of people left a lot of the food on the plates! Selection of tea was good also! There was no commentary as to where on the harbour we were or pointing out Andy points of interest! Thanks but I don’t think I’d do this again, unfortunately!

High Tea and Happy People

It was a fabulous experience with great food and amazing staff. They catered so well to our food allergies and never made us feel like it was a bother. I would definitely recommend Captain Cook Cruises for any water excursions. The seating along the windows of the vessel gave unmatched views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It was also one of the best high teas I have ever had. Come hungry because there is a lot of food! I would definitely recommend. It as a must do in your Sydney itinerary.

Excellent way to see the harbour!

This was a great afternoon on the harbour. There was a lot of delicious food including sandwiches, quiches, scones and cakes. I strongly recommend after you finish eating you go to the top deck of the boat for the glorious harbour views.

The views from this harbor cruise were absolutely wonderful, the high tea was a fun experience, and the atmosphere was romantic for my husband and I. The only things I would’ve liked differently: we were not seated by the window, which we thought was guaranteed but apparently you have to pay extra for that. 90% of the seats had their high tea platters at the start of the cruise, but ours took 30 min to come. We also didn’t have a full set of tea options at our table (some packs were even already opened and empty). By the time the live music started, we were also 30 min into the cruise (the entire thing is 1 and a half hours). They didn’t let us know that we could go out the the top deck for outside photos and experience at all, and we didn’t get to go out until the last 10 min when we heard other tables going out back. All in all a beautiful time but if they made more of an effort to show care for their guests onboard, it would have been a 10/10. Still fun and worth a trip!

Best high tea ever. Staff were great and food was amazing. My only complaint is that when booking the cost is in US dollars which is not shown until payment made. In saying this was well worth the money, would just like it to be clear on booking.

We enjoyed a nice tea with plenty of tasty choices and nice English Breakfast tea with milk. From our window we were able to experience the beautiful neighborhoods that dot the harbor and the spectacular architecture that has given Sydney such fame. That being said, I don't think the trip would be enjoyable on a dark or rainy day. So plan accordingly for a special day, hopefully with someone to share all those pastries. Oh and since they refused to provide a take out sack or box, do plan ahead and bring one along. I hate to waste.

Although the tea was just regular bagged tea, the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The presentation was gorgeous and everything tasted so good. The staff were also very nice. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day so our cruise down the river was perfect. Highly recommend this!

This was a nice solo adventure while vacationing in Sydney. Food was good. Nice selection of sweet and savory bites. Champagne included! Friendly staff. Comfortable and smooth ride. Nice tour and views of the harbor. Would recommend as an indulgent treat for yourself or an outing with girlfriends.
