Meet your small-group tour in central Sydney then get comfortable on your air-conditioned coach for the scenic 2/3-hour drive to the Hunter Valley. Your guide points out the sights and explains their history as you travel past the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and over the Hawkesbury River.
When you arrive in the valley, your guide takes you to some of the best small producers in the region. Taste as many as 20 different wines. If you want to take some home, you can purchase bottles from the wineries.
In addition to the wine, food has become a star of the Hunter Valley. Your tour includes a stop at an artisan cheese shop to sample a variety of delicious cheeses. For lunch, a delicious café lunch is included, which includes hot and cold options.
Return to Sydney in the evening after a wonderful day in the Hunter Valley.

Our tour guide Jeff was great, lots of funny stories and interesting information.
The three vineyards we visited all had a different vibe. Excellent wine in each one.
There was no hard sell to buy the wine.
We learned a lot about the wine making process and some fun facts. We even seen some kangaroos.
Lunch was really tasty and a beautiful location.
I would definitely recommend this tour.

It was a long day but Stuart kept us entertained and informed. All 3 vineyards were of quality and professional. Lunch was prompt and I, for one, really enjoyed it. Stuart, our driver/guide, knew his job and was a fun person.

John our guide was very nice, however I would have liked for him to talk more about the wineries we were visiting. The first winery was Saddler Winery which was fabulous. We also went to two other “boutique” wineries which were run down properties with wines we did not like. It was sad driving by so many beautiful wineries and not stopping. We also stopped for our “guided artisan cheese tasting” which turned out to be 5 crackers placed on a board with a soft cheese spread. We ended the day with a chocolate tasting at what turned out to be a little shop with bags of pre wrapped candies in little cellophane bags. I have no idea why we stopped there it had nothing to do with wine. But on the plus side we didn’t have to stop at another “boutique” winery. I do not recommend this tour. Go on your own or with a tour that gives you some options.

Nice to be in a smaller group tour. Easy traveling with well planned logistics and a blended selection of wineries; all lovely. Just the right amount of time to learn about the wines and enjoy the experiences.

The tour promises to have small group, 14 max. 17 people shows up for the tour.
Of the 3 wineries, 1 of them is quite conservative in serving drinks.

For operational reasons, we do occasionally take up to 3 extra people on a larger vehicle so that everyone still travels in comfort.
Each of the 3 wineries visited provides tastings of between 5-7 different wines, so even if the amount poured at each one varies we feel that is a lot of opportunities to taste great wines!
We hope that you enjoyed the wines which you did taste, and the rest of your stay in Sydney.

This was our first time to the Sydney area and so we quite enjoyed the drive to the vineyards. It was fun to learn about the various types of wine from the various producers! Only suggestion would be to have some cheese & bread during the tasting. The tour guide was very friendly and kept everyone on schedule. All in all - it was a very enjoyable day out.

A wonderful outing to the Hunter Valley wine region. Visited three boutique wineries that only sell their wines at the winery. Tasted 5 or more wines at each. We even observed some wild kangaroos in the area.

The small family own wineries presented excellent Australian wines and the charm of an interment, relaxing rural setting. The wines were enjoyable and prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed the lunch, cheese tasting, and added stop for chocolate tasting.

The last vineyard provided the most info, the food at the golf course took too long to arrive, the weather was perfect, a plug in for IPhone to recharge would be good, beverages and snacks on the bus would be good. Tour guide could have talked more about the scenery and history - music on the bus was good, seats were comfortable, temperature on the bus was good.

Raphael, our guide for the day, was funny, friendly, and very helpful. He pointed out notable sites along our drive to the Hunter Valley and back, and always kept us informed about departure times and plans as we moved from winery to winery.
The three vineyards we visited were great. The last of the three was not the group favorite but we absolutely enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. I would recommend this tour for anyone.

Small, local wineries with generous tastings and good wine. The cheese tasting was very delicious. The lunch included at the country club was very tasty and well presented. Good chocolate stop too.
Ben did a very good job guiding and driving. Would highly recommend tour!

We felt this wasn’t particularly a tour for people who are very interested in wine. The tour guide, although friendly, did not really give much information about wine and the Hunter Valley. He was really just a means of transport and keeping us on track. The lunch was at a golf club which we thought a little odd, lunch at a winery would have been nicer. We didn’t particularly visit any really picturesque spots but we did visit three wineries and a cheese maker.

Lunch at Cypress Lakes is a great location and they provide a delicious light lunch overlooking the lake which also fits in nicely to keep the timing of the tour on track. We were picked up early morning and from the beginning the trip was excellent! Our driver and guide, Ben, was a mind of information all through the day. The Hunter Valley is a beautiful area to drive through with the Great Dividing Range always in the background. The 3 wineries we went to Sadlers Creek, McLeish Estate and Ernest Hill all produce top class wines and tasting them all was fun! By the end of the day our small group of 14 had become friends! Would recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed the Hunter Valley Wine Tour. Our guide was very professional and knowledgeable. Each winery was unique with there own production of wines. It was great to visit this area outside Sydney and see the beautiful countryside including the Kangaroos roaming the area.
