I don't usually leave reviews, but this pub crawl was the best i've ever done. The people were outstanding and our hosts Jemma and Dom were fun and vibrant. I definitely would recommend the pub crawl to anyone visiting Sydney, but even for the locals it is a great time. 100% would recommend doing again if am ever in the area. Enjoyed all the way from Florida!

If you’re a solo traveler, the younger, the better your experience. I’ve been to plenty of pub crawls, in Dublin, Rome, Paris, you name it, I’ve been there. This one was different. This was geared for people who were in the early 18 to 21-year-olds. With that being said, I felt out of place. We went to 4 different places, all clubs that were exuberantly loud and hard to hold conversations with others, but what troubled me, was when we got to the third place, when we were given a 10 minute warning to go to the next pub, apparently almost all the people left that were with our group and nobody notified a few people me included that we were going to the next and final place….. It was very late at night and honestly can be very dangerous, no text and no call….. so naturally I just called it a night I went back to my hotel. I completely understand the type of crowd they want to cater to, but I feel like they just disregarded safety.

Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. However it's quite unfair to leave us 2 stars, it's actually quite obnoxious. You complain about the age range of the group, however it clearly states on our listing "Our group's age range is primarily 18-25" so perhaps you should have paid more attention when you booked. The music at the first venue is not loud as you claim, this way it's easier for everybody to check in and socialize. However, the night and vibes do escalate and it can be louder at the later venues. You were not given a 10 minute warning when arriving to the 3rd venue. That makes no sense. We stay at each venue for 1 hour, so the hosts would have told everybody the 10 minute heads up approximately 50 minutes into being there. You also contradicted yourself because first you said you were given a 10 minute warning, then you said you were not notified about going to the final venue. Ten minutes after the 10 minute warning, the hosts go around again and round everybody up and they wave light sticks as well, they do this at each venue, and they're the same ones they used for crossing the streets safely. It's not rocket science but you said you were given a 10 minute warning, so why not listen and 10 minutes later head outside with the group, like everybody else, and like at the 2 previous venues? Please don't apply scare tactics to people reading this. Sydney is one of the safest cities in the world! How would you expect us to call or text you? With a group of over 50 people the night you attended, should we have perhaps slowed the night down to take attendance like in elementary school after each venue? Then text or call whomever is missing and just hold everybody else up, basically punishing them for listening to the 10 minute warning!? Saying we disregarded your safety is absurd. We have been doing this for 8 years and have a stellar reputation for being a safe space and well organized. By the way, our itinerary is shown on our listing so even if by some chance you decided to go to the bathroom after the 10 minute warning or disappeared somewhere and missed us, had you paid just a little attention to the listing, you would have not only seen the age range listed, but also the itinerary and could have caught up with the group, and most importantly, had a more pleasant experience!

This is a fun way to get introduced to the nightlife in Sydney. We had fun at the different clubs and bars. The hosts were very friendly and personable.

Amazing night! They took us to 4 bars and clubs, each had a great vibe but it was really the staff that go above and beyond to create the atmosphere and make sure everybody is included, especially solo travelers like myself. I will definitely join again! Thanks for a great night!

Never took it in Sydney

I was at the meeting point but didn’t exist the address number. I called to Viator and the person who was talking with me said that I’m not at the meeting point. I mentón the street that I was and he try to send me 35 minutes away. The operator didn’t call me and I asked for a number and Viator couldn’t help me. They didn’t refund me or re schedule Bad, bad experience.

Hi Liliana, I'm sorry that you couldn't find the meeting point. The instructions are clear on the ticket page, we had 82 attendees on Saturday, September 14th, and they all found it just fine so it's not fair for you to leave us a 1* review if you couldn't follow instructions or maps. Also, the meeting location is from 8pm-9pm. You sent an email after 8pm that you were running late. The full itinerary is also listed, so you could have met us at the 2nd venue which is just across the street. Viator customer service said you requested to change your ticket to September 16th which is a Monday. Our events are only on Fridays and Saturdays hence why we couldn't reschedule. Refunds and rescheduling are typically not permitted if you request after the event has started. Had you contact us directly and not left us a 1* review, and if you would be in Sydney on a future Friday or Saturday, we would have happily made an exemption and rescheduled you.

Worst pub crawl

Possibly the worst pub crawl I’ve been to in my life, avoid it like the plague. Drinks were terrible, the venues also, not sure what the organisers were doing here, would have had better time just at the pub. How are people giving positive reviews?

Hi, Thank you for joining and I appreciate you for taking the time to leave us a review. However, you review is quite unfair, so let me correct you on a few things. Drinks are NOT terrible! We list what's included so there's no surprises. At the first 3 venues you get your choice of a house vodka (plus mixer) or house wine (red, white, or sparkling). Then, at the last venue, you get your choice of a house beer, wine, or spirit (vodka, gin, rum, etc). If there was any issue, you should have let our hosts know. The venues are NOT terrible. We carefully select which venues we include to be able to provide the best possible night. The first venue is very chill so that everybody can check-in, socialize, and get to know each other. There's beer pong, darts, and pinball. The next venue, 3 Wise Monkeys, is a legendary venue in Sydney. We get the party started here. Then, we head to Scruffy Murphy's, Sydney's most famous Irish pub. The dance floor is always pumping plus we serve the free pizza here. Last, we finish at Side Bar, Sydney's #1 student and backpacker nightclub. Sounds like a pretty fun night to me. How are people giving positive reviews? We've been doing this for 7 years. Our hosts make the effort to make sure everybody is included, gets to each venue safely, and has a great night! Unfortunately, some people are just miserable. Our hosts tried to get you involved but you just had no interest. You know the saying "You can lead a horse to water...."

Bar choices suck

Started out in the basement of the bar, it was a box, could barely hear the music, lights were on. The next place was right across the street and irish pub, where the security guys rushed us upstairs, away from the normal crowd on the main floor. I was hoping to get a feel for an australian night out and it was just boring and awful. Not worth it.

Thank you for joining and I appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. However this is a very unfair assessment. First, you say it's a basement like it's a bad thing. It's the lower level of the venue, which is actually BIGGER than the main level. It's a fun atmosphere with beer pong, darts, and pinball. Being that it is the first venue, we keep the music lower so people can check-in, socialize, and get to know each other. It's early, let the night escalate! The Irish pub that we go to is the official Celtic supporters venue. There's 2-3 dates per year that they have the main level reserved, hence why we go upstairs on just those rare occasions. They provide a DJ for us up there, so it's literally the same as what would have been downstairs if it wasn't for the game. Did you come to dance and meet people, or would you have rather watch the sports game? And, I have to disagree that we are not boring and awful. We have been operating for 7 years and our hosts make every attempt to make sure everybody is included and has a great night. It was a really fun experience and I would definitely do it again. You got a great deal with the price and the values and the free drink in each bar/club. You met a lot of new people and it was easy to connect with them and have a great time. The guides were super funny and friendly and it was good to get to know some good places in Sydney. Also I really liked to sunglasses for all the people that did the pub crawl - such a fun idea.
