Mark was our guide. It was a true small group tour in a very comfortable van that was very clean and had great visibility. I am a big guy (well over 6 foot and not skinny) so van space is important to me on tours. The tour was over 9 hours, but the time flew by. The bushwalk was a highlight especially accented by Mark’s knowledge of the flora and fauna. We really enjoyed the time at the wildlife sanctuary and would love to have spent more time there, but all in all our time was managed very well. Mark’s audio commentary was excellent in the van and the sound system performed nicely which tends to be a problem on many tours we go on. We learned a lot about Australia. The bushwalk registered 17 flights and some 10,000 steps on my Apple Watch. The views were breathtaking and well worth the hike.
We had perfect weather in mid April. We were in Sydney on a cruise ship stop for the day. We had complications due to customs, but the communication and accommodation by the company were excellent in arranging our pick up and drop off.
BTW. The lunch was great and we appreciated the recommendations and suggestions from Mark as to what was available.
We have no negative feedback whatsoever for this experience and would wholeheartedly recommend you go with them.

Amazing guide. Mark made the trip. He modified the walking to fit my wife’s knee while also showing us everything and challenging the rest of us to get some amazing views. His knowledge was deep and varied to make the day informative and entertaining. We did Australian music trivia on the drive back which made the time fly by. Probably the best tour guide we have had in any country we have used Viator in.

This tour was the perfect mix of the Blue Mountains. Craig was a great guide and communication pretour was perfect. Pickup was on time. I enjoyed the Featherdale Wildlife park. We arrived before the big buses and I felt like we had plenty of time to see everything. The walk to Wentworth Falls was awesome. We were given a choice on the way back(one way was easier than the other). The weather was perfect while we were at Echo point.. and the views did not disappoint.

Ben was a good tour guide. He communicated well and considered the tour participants needs and limitations when he planned our hike in the Blue Mountains. The hike to a view of Wentworth Falls was worth every drop of sweat that pored out as we hiked back to the van. I highly recommend this trip and avoid the amusement park.
Ben was gracious enough to report that we left a hat in the bus and promised to drop it off tomorrow.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a positive experience with Ben. He always goes out of his way to communicate clearly and tailor the day to suit the group, so it’s great to know that made a difference on your hike. Wentworth Falls is definitely rewarding — especially on the way back up!

This excursion was a great outdoor experience. Our guide, Mark, was just incredible. He was a wealth of information and stories at every stop along the way. He was extremely familiar with each location and made excellent choices and recommendations based on his level of expertise. We loved the Featherdale Wildlife Park. There were so many Australian animals out and about. The facility is well taken care of and it’s obvious that the animals are genuinely cared for. Although it was a cloudy day, we still loved our hike through the Blue Mountains. Mark gave us the best tour…loaded with facts and stories about exploring there as a youngster. Shout out to Karen and Mark, the other couple we met who also booked this tour. We had the best time and left with so many great memories! A small group tour is the way to go!
Response from Host, Feb 2026

He truly loves what he does and takes great pride in sharing his knowledge, stories and personal experiences, so it’s fantastic to know that came through at each stop along the way.
We’re also glad you enjoyed Featherdale Wildlife Park and your Blue Mountains hike — even with the cloudy weather, the mountains still have their own special charm. It’s lovely to hear you connected with fellow travellers too; small group tours really do create those shared moments that make the day extra special.
Thank you again for travelling with us — we’re so pleased you left with great memories and hope to welcome you back on another adventure in the future!

The guide was very knowledgeable and eager to make trip successful for family of 9. The stops were very very crowded and he modified the trip to go to areas with fewer tourists.

Wonderful Day in the Blue Mountains with Mark
We had a wonderful day today with our guide, Mark. He was an amazing guide with great communication skills and an exceptional personality.
We traveled outside of Sydney into the beautiful Blue Mountains. Our first stop was Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, where we saw extraordinary native wildlife—over 2,000 Australian animals, including more than 60 threatened species that the park works passionately to protect for the future.
We hiked Wentworth Falls, which was absolutely breathtaking, enjoyed a delicious lunch at Hotel Alexandria Lueua, and visited the Three Sisters Lookout and more.
It was an unforgettable experience, made even better by Mark’s knowledge, kindness, and enthusiasm. Highly recommend!

The only way to see Blue Mountains from Sydney! Our guide Stuart was so full of passion and information on the animals, geology and flora of the area, we learned so much. The small group size enabled us flexibility to access special viewpoints and less-busy spots for solitude. Featherdale is just perfect as well! Be careful with making plans for after back in the city, as our tour ran approx. 2 hours over expected end due to traffic and passion of the group! :)

Great trip great food great waterfalls and the 3 sisters in wonderful light. The guide was personable and helpful throughout

This trip was a wonderful experience! Ben was a great host; providing lots of information of the area and conscientious when taking our small group on hiking trails by Wentworth Falls.

Mark was just fantastic. So much great historical and cultural insight in addition to all we learned about the geography and wildlife. Was with my young adult son and we both had a blast. Mark was warm and funny and incredibly knowledgeable. He even DJ’ed some Aussie music on the ride back to Sydney. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Ajit_A, Aug 2025
Mark is a great Guide. We learned so much about Australia’s history. The weather wasn’t great but he made it a great day out -
Thank you!

Ben was awesome as a guide! We learned so much and he gave us options as the day went along. Such a beautiful country and we felt like since we only had one day- this tour was the best to see as much as we could.
Nate_B, Jul 2025
Mark was our guide and was fantastic. My wife and I plus two kids aged 14 and 9 had a great time on this tour. All of the hiking was well within the ability of our kids. We had great weather with dramatic clouds and sun light shining through making for some amazing photos of the Blue Mountains scenery. Definitely recommend this tour.

Overall, the experience was great! Ben was very knowledgeable and took us to amazing places around the Blue Mountains. I really enjoyed learning about the different facts and pieces of history. It was a wonderful day!
Terry_O, Apr 2025
Mark was an outstanding guide imparting his depth of knowledge of Sydney and the blue mountains national park. We rode with a total of 6 on our tour in a comfortable new Mercedes van. The pace of the tour was perfect and Mark made the experience a 5 star. Often we find tours are a make or break by how good your guide is. Request a tour from Mark and you won’t be disappointed.
Mike_R, Apr 2025
Let me start by saying—this tour felt like the perfect storm of passion meeting precision. Our guide? A walking encyclopedia with the voice of a podcast host and the timing of a stand-up comedian. Seriously, if Morgan Freeman and David Attenborough had a charismatic cousin who moonlighted as a historian, this guy would be it.
The tour was punctual (a rare miracle in the world of group travel), hit all the must-see spots, and unfolded like a well-rehearsed play—only with more scenic views and fewer intermissions. The guide’s historical tales were clever, immersive, and made even better by his smooth, buttery voice that could probably convince you the grass was invented in 1842.
Now, the price? Let’s just say your wallet might flinch a little—but for what it’s worth, the van was fresh off the lot, spotless, and stocked with water (bonus points for hydration!). The main stops were jaw-dropping, Instagram-worthy, and genuinely memorable. Sadly, one highlight was partially closed due to rain damage. Heartbreaking, yes—but totally out of the tour’s control. To his credit, the guide handled the mood like a champ, keeping spirits high and jokes flowing.
The animal refuge stop was *chef’s kiss*—a heartwarming, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Think adorable creatures, up-close feeding, and watching little kids light up like they’d just seen Santa. Pure magic.
Now for the only hiccup—and I say this with love. The tour is clearly labeled as “adventurous” and “strenuous.” Yet, somehow, half our group was eligible for senior discounts *and* naps before noon. Lovely folks, don’t get me wrong—but when one gentleman looked like he was one uphill step away from joining the spirits of the forest, we knew we had a pacing issue. The guide might have considered splitting the group or offering an alternate route, because many of us were ready to explore beyond the geriatric stroll.
So, here's the bottom line: If you love small group vibes, fantastic guides, clean comfy transport, and don’t mind rolling with a few unexpected punches (and pace adjustments), this tour’s a solid win. Just make sure your fellow adventurers are up for the same level of “adventure” you are.
Thanks for the memories

We LOVED this tour! It was so interesting and beautiful! We got to experience so much in one day! The visit to the animal park was delightful and the koalas and other animals were a sight to see! We saw a crocodile, wombat, dingos and kangaroos! We ventured on to the blue mountains and enjoyed the commentary by our awesome tour guide Mark and the magnificent hike. Be sure to wear close-toed shoes! What a great day!
Diana_A, Mar 2025
Mark was a very kind and knowledgable guide. Even with rainy weather and limited views, he made for a very fun experience! He taught us so much about both the nature surrounding us as well as the history of the country and sites we visited.
saramanganramelb, Mar 2025
Great road trip to the Blue mountains! Mark was an exceptional guide. Very personable, great stories of his youth in the bush. Really fun way to get out of the city and stretch your legs.
We had a wide variety of fitness levels on our trip. The final stretch of 250 stairs back up was tough for some of the older crew, but Mark paced it well and left them plenty of time for breaks.
