Don’t be cheap spend the money for a private driver

What a big day for my kids and I. We did a day trip from Malta to Sicily so we had to get up super early and get the ferry from Malta to Sicily so my kids and I were pretty tired. Our driver Nello was great. He saw how tired we all were and let us sleep. It was a 2 hour drive from the ferry port to our first town and we passed out right away. I did wake up with some questions about if we could see my etna from the high way and I guess I didn’t realize how big this mountain is. Nello also was driving a newer full size Mercedes and he also opens and shut the doors every time we got in or out of the car. The car was extremely clean and nice and Nello was in a suit too on such a hot day so very professional. Nello also pointed out a few things during the drive when I was awake but again we all passed out once the cold ac hit us. He also had no problem dropping us off right where we needed to be then went and parked the car. Also I called our tour guides and he talked to them and set up a time and meeting place which was extremely nice because I’m not from Sicily so he knew the right spot. At first I was pretty hesitant to spend this much money on a driver but in the end I was well worth it because of the experienced driver who knew the area.
