Memorable Friday Afternoon Tour

Although initially we initially had some confusion with the tour guide[s], the afternoon ended up much better than we anticipated. Due to some scheduling issues, we ended up with two different guides. The first tour was small and although the guide was professional and knowledgeable, she appeared at times distracted. The second guide saved the day, she was entertaining, humorous, knowledgeable and engaging. The second group was over 12 people and she herded us through the church like a pro. She shared her knowledge of the church through animation and stories, which I am sure all of us will now remember many of the pertinent facts due to how they were presented. Although the church itself is awe inspiring, 'Clara' made the afternoon tour more memorable!

Spectacular Views

Our group enjoyed our tours with Clara, who sarcastic humor, made the tour even more enjoyable for us. She took us all around the Alcazar providing great informational tips and stunning views. She proved to us that the Cathedral next door was the largest one in the world. Then we finished up the tour taking the challenge to go up the Giralda tower (35 floors). It was just the right amount of time for us freeing us up the rest of the day, but getting to enjoy some of the most stunning views in Seville.

Terrible radio mic feedback with static throughout our first tour of alcazar. We didn’t hear anything of what the guide told us. The second tour of the cathedral was much better. Despite complaints at the meeting point there was no offer of any compensation.

Fascinating but more time needed in each

Our experience was impacted by The United Nations and King being in town. This meant some areas of the palace were closed off for viewing and the normal exit point could not be used. This made it confusing to meet up for the second part of the tour- this was outside the tour company’s control. What would have been better is if the guide of the Real Alcázar had taken us to the exit point. She simply pointed to it and it left many ( including us ) being lost in the maze of the palace gardens. Both tours were amazing but felt a little rushed- there was so much more to see in each place.

This was a good, thorough, and well organized tour. I lines, got through security easily and on time. This package however, was actually 2 separate tours. New guide for the cathedral. New check-in, etc. That’s not obvious from the description. So, it lacked the continuity and storytelling you’d expect. The Alcazar guide was very repetitive and although the place is amazing, didn’t provide much context. The cathedral guide was very good, but expect crowds and not a very personalized experience. So, the tours were good with an opportunity to improve. I’d still recommend this tour though, because of how well organized it was. It’s hard to get tickets, we did skip lines, and it was thorough.

We were not told there was an hour break between the tour of Alcatraz and the Cathedral/tower. Essentially two different tours with different guides. The description sounded like one 3 hour tour of all three venues. Had we known might have chosen another tour.

We had to take a tour in Seville of the Cathedral and Real Alcaraz as tickets were not available directly. We found that the tour we selected was expensive for what was provided. The sound devices worked sometime but not always. The guide spoke too quickly given her grasp of English. So much was missed. She was very friendly. We enjoyed both places but the experience could have been better.

Clara gives an entertaining, informative, and worthwhile tour of the Alcázar and Cathedral. She doesn’t overwhelm with dates and detail, and focuses on engaging with the group with good-natured humor, calling us all by our home city or country. What a good memory to memorize everyone in the group! We signed up for the combination Alcázar and cathedral tours, and there was a 45 minute gap between the two. We didn’t know about the gap, but having 45 minutes on our own worked well, as we had just the right amount of time to explore the gardens inside the Alcázar. Walk out along the 2nd story of the columned pavilion overlooking the gardens—the view looking back on the gardens, Alcázar and Cathedral provided our best photos of the visit. You will walk up Giralda tower in the cathedral on your own at the end of the tour. No steps, only stone ramps, which makes it pretty easy to do. A terrific tour with Clara!

Good tour. Now I know why so many reviews mentioned Clara... she was great and even kept our 11 yr olds engaged with a few tik tok references :-). Loved hearing her take on the Spanish people's heritage, the Royal Family, and the inside scoops on the people entombed in the cathedral. I had a little trouble finding the group to begin with because there were so many tour groups staging in this same area, but the organizers called me on WhatsApp to help me find the group when I wasn't there at the start time.

Two part tour with separate guides when we went

This is done as a TWO part - different tours from same company. So there is a break and we had change of guide. Our first Carlos guide of Alcázar was great - amazing personality and could relate to group. We had to wait 30 minutes of the 3 hour tour for next tour to start. The second Carlos tour guide did Cathedral- his English was hard to understand at times and he was hard to follow and not very engaging. He was knowledgeable- just difficult for us to follow and understand. It is very impressive cathedral. We probably could have done audio tour of cathedral and gotten the same info.

We got into the monuments without making the lines to buy tickets or enter the places. The tour guide was late, ended the tour early, and excused herself for the past part of the tour, claiming she had another group with a conflicting time. Guide knew her stuff but, had no time for us.

The tour had about an hour in the palace and then time to explore the gardens. Then regrouped with those that were going to the cathedral and tower. Great way to see the highlights.

This was awful for a few reasons. Our first tour guide Sylvia was unintelligible so we got no information at the Alcazar. The headsets didn’t work well even if you could understand her. Second, it wasn’t clear that there were two parts to the tour until we overheard where/when the second meeting point was. Third, the group was too large. Thankfully Alejandro was a great guide in the cathedral.
