Fantastic tour. I learned a ton and it was way better than just walking around on my own. Appreciated the headsets so you could hear the guide when he wasn’t directly in front of you. Would absolutely recommend.

I appreciated having an excellent, knowledgeable and energetic guide to this vast and beautiful palace. With a group of 8, we were able to move through the rooms with ease and enjoy the exquisite architecture and decorated tiles. There is no furniture but the gorgeous tiles and the guide’s stories were all that was needed. The gardens are huge and well worth strolling through.

Very informative host...

Very informative host (Ivan) led a tour of this beautiful palace, explaining the hsitorical context while showing us through it all. A highlight of our trip to Seville

Excellent tour of Real Alcazar

Keith_S, Jun 2026
This was a great tour and the guide Maria Victoria was fantastic. It was a very hot day (42 C) and everyone was struggling in the heat, but she kept us entertained and I learned a lot about the Alcazar.

Knowledgeable guided tour

Sara_W, Jun 2026
We did the 1.5 hr guided tour. Lots of walking and not much time to stop/sit so please consider. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and showed us around the Alcazar. Stunning building with lots of history

Jesus was an amazing tour guide! He was very entertaining and even kept the attention of our 10 year old for the duration of the tour.

Manuela was a fabulous guide, and we really enjoyed having time after the guided portion to explore the gardens

It was a larger group...

melissa_k, Jun 2026
It was a larger group than I was anticipating. But the headsets they provided worked well. The leader was knowledgeable and energetic.

No Tour? No Problem. Viator Still Keeps Your Money.

Stefanie_H, Jun 2026
Avoid both Naturanda, Colors of Seville, and Viator. We paid hundreds for a guided Alcázar tour in Seville. The booking information referenced Colors of Seville as the meeting point, but the tour was operated by Naturanda. The experience was disorganized from the beginning and about 15 minutes into the tour, the guide became ill and the tour ended. While I sympathize with the guide, and don’t fault her at all. However the fact is that we paid for a guided tour and received only a small fraction of the service we purchased because of the tour company and Viator’s lack of integrity. Naturanda refused to provide any refund, claiming that we still had access to the Alcázar. That argument is absurd. We did not just pay for admission. We paid for a guided experience, expert commentary, and a complete tour. Instead, we got roughly 15 minutes before being left on our own. Viator was no better. Despite marketing itself as a trusted booking platform, it provided no meaningful assistance whatsoever. In fact, while i was requesting to escalate my complaint, another denial was issued before the conversation had even concluded. It was clear that neither Viator nor Naturanda had any intention of fairly addressing the fact that the tour never actually happened. The most frustrating part is not that the guide became sick. Unexpected situations happen. The problem is that both Naturanda and Viator seem to believe that delivering less than 15% of the tour while keeping 100% of the payment is acceptable. This experience completely destroyed my confidence in both companies. If something goes wrong, don’t expect Naturanda to make it right, and don’t expect Viator to stand behind the tours it sells. The whole thing was a mess. Choose a more reputable provider!

Do not go if it’s...

Kara_C, Jun 2026
Do not go if it’s extremely hot, the day we went it was 95 out and absolutely miserable not much shade in places to cool off our tour guide got sick and had to lay down. She was very, informative and did a good job up until then. A lot of interesting history.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hi, thank you very much for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the temperature was high the day of your visit. Kind regards.

Tour worth going on but not exceptional.

Jill_H, Jun 2026
Beautiful building a tour. I would have liked the guide to meet us at the actual Alcazar rather than at their headquarters- while a short walk- seemed unnecessary. Also, while it was hot that day, I care less about the weather and more about the history so the discussion could have been less on how warm it was in other areas of the world.

Quick Tour

Cindy_W, Jun 2026
It was scheduled for hour 30 min, but started late and ended early, short of an hour. Confusion at first organizing the group. It did allow us to bypass a long line. The guide was informative. Not really opportunities to ask questions or take pics, before quickly moving to the next stop. Not sure I’d use this again.

Culture is an appropriation and not fixed on religious lines drawn with a hard line

Khadijay_N, Jun 2026
I thought the tour guide was too opinionated over the lines of religion. He kept bringing up Christianity and Muslims and how the AlCazar was actually more Byzantium than Moorish. Culture, architecture and art are never static. Who influences who is fluid and historical. He kept going out of his way to embrace the Christian nature of the AlCazar. He never mentioned once that the arches and arabesque plaster finishing were also based on Indian royal architecture and temples. This then itself was absorbed by the Mughals and eventually found its way to Spain. He made me very uncomfortable and unwanted. Also Not to visit, if possible, on a weekend! Crazy busy and you just cannot appreciate the AlCazar with so many people

Ismael was a wealth of great information and highly entertaining! We loved every minute of his tour.

A beautiful palace and fantastic guide (Emilio)

Alicia_W, Jun 2026
The palace is beautiful and has lots of different internal and external design and architectural aspects to enjoy. Emilio was an excellent guide, making the tour really engaging and informative. The range of features here led to an arguably more enjoyable experience than Cordoba's mezquita cathedral (which is also amazing).

Awesome!

Julia_F, Jun 2026
Take plenty to drink and a fan and allow plenty of time to look around as there is much to see. Definitely worth booking with a tour guide as there is much that would be missed otherwise. Alvaro, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his subject.

Great venue, guide but sound problems

Kelly_K, Jun 2026
It was stunning and our guide was nice and knowledgeable. But the sound was horrible on all ear pieces. The group started very late trying to address the earpiece problem. We could hear nothing so we used the downloadable guide instead on our phone and followed that rather than guide. Because the tour started late, the gift shop was closed when we finished so I couldn’t buy anything. Oh - and we had no idea we needed to show ID to enter. We had ID but some did not. The venue and guide great, but many problems. I feel like we should get a refund!

Waited half hour in 97F sun for tour guide to show up

Jim_Q, Jun 2026
Tour guide was half hour late. Large crowd waiting outside voucher pick up shop. No seating, limited shade. Why can't viator issue tickets electronically, via email or text? Going to a shop to get the final voucher seems like a unnecessary step.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We can not send you the tickets because you're part of a larger group and your tickets are tied to this larger group. That is why your guide has, not only yours, but everyone else tickets. We're sorry for the inconviences. Kind regards.

Great time with Merci

Elizabeth_B, May 2026
Great way to see the palace! Merci was a great, knowledgeable guide! Good way to skip the line and understand more about the history.

It’s beautiful. Out your guide Merce was great. She was pleasant and very enthusiastic. I wish we had her for the tour of the Cathedral that we did after this.

Good tour but wrong meeting address provided

Jill_D, May 2026
Tour was good. Guide provided nice details. **The meeting location Viator provided was wrong! We had to sprint to another location and almost missed the tour. It was several chaotic minutes but worked out in the end. Viator should do better with meeting details.

Stunning

Lori_P, May 2026
The Royal Alcázar is not to be missed. Historically significant and absolutely beautiful. The grounds with peacocks and other wildlife are amazing. Give yourself extra time to wander around and perhaps have a snack on the patio area. Ismael was our guide and he was hilarious.

Beautiful Alcazar with amazing your guide

Elizabeth_A, May 2026
Fantastic experience. Very knowledgeable, personable tour guide. We all enjoyed the tour in my group.

Awful and want money back

Mark_P, May 2026
‘My experience with Naturanda/Viator today ( 19th May on 13:30 tour with Julio) was shambolic, to be polite. The guide arrived 10 minutes late and then spent time on the phone sorting something out. We then had problems with the listening equipment, which was resolved, and we then left for the Alcazar. This was followed by problems at the entrance because Naturanda/Viator had not emailed Julio everybody’s tickets, which needed to be cross-checked at security before being allowed entrance. We eventually got in at 14:16 (I know this because I messaged my family) and the tour then finished pretty much on time at 15:00. So a one and half hour tour was actually only 45 minutes! The guide did apologise for the inefficiency of Naturanda but he did arrive late himself. Very disappointing and worst tour experience with Viator and I have used them a lot! I think Viator should do the right thing and offer a partial refund for the shortened tour or at least free vouchers for another tour, wherever or whenever we would like to use it (ie. not in Seville). Need to do much, much better. ‘

It was a beautiful experience on a mild day( would have been more difficult to enjoy on a hot day)- our guide Karlo was exceptional & covered history & architecture of all key elements.

Kyle_C, May 2026
I was disappointed by the tour. We arrived early to the location listed on Viator. The guides told us this was the incorrect location and we had to walk an additional 10 minutes to the actual start location. Our guide didn’t show up until 30 minutes after our initial start time. I felt this was inconvenient and inconsiderate of my family’s time and overall led to a poor experience.
