The Alhambra was an absolutely beautiful complex, Granada was a nice town, and Daniela did a great job hosting this tour. However, the only reason why I couldn’t give this 5 stars is because we did not have remotely enough free time. We only had 20 minutes at the rest stop which was barely enough time to order your food and receive it, much less going to the bathroom (we also were not allowed to eat on the bus). Additionally, we only had 30 minutes of free time in the Albaicin neighborhood, and the meeting point was a 10-minute walk from the viewpoint of Granada where we were dropped off at. We did not have enough time to look around and really feel like we were in Granada. After the Alhambra, we did not have any time to use the restrooms or look in the gift shop prior to leaving either.

I booked this tour over 6 weeks in advance. The only reason I booked the tour was to gain entrance to the Alhambra. While on the bus on the way to Granada, I was informed that they did not have tickets for me to enter the Alhambra. So I spent 6 hours on a bus back and forth from Seville to Granada, but could not enter the Alhambra (which was the only reason I wanted to go to Granada). On top of that, the company fought me about a refund, initially offering only a partial refund that was less than the cost of the tickets that I didn't get! I had to get Viator involved to get a full refund. So if you want to go into the Alhambra there's no point in booking with these people as there's no guarantee they will actually get tickets for you (there was another couple on the bus with the same situation), and if they screw up they will try to keep your money anyway. I want to point out that the guide on the bus (Alex) was very nice and his company (Granavision) was not at fault for any of this - they actually tried to help me. But the company organizing the tour (Naturanda) was awful. No accountability at all.

Right before the tour, they told half of the group that the tickets to the alhambra were not included and could not be added as they were sold out. This is a scam as the name of the tour is called “ ALHAMBRA GUIDED TOUR” - most of the trip was the drive. This is false advertising - never book with this company.

Overall it was great. The schedule is a little bit tight but you do get chance to see everything. Please make sure to book it in advance to get the Alhambra tour option, well worth it.

The tour guide with Poor management and poor English communication skill

Dear Viator Team, The tour guide had a very strong accent and extremely poor English communication skills. We could not understand her explanations at all throughout the tour. In addition, the time management was very poor. She delayed our lunch break by 15 minutes and then returned 10 minutes late herself, which caused unnecessary waiting for the whole group. We paid USD $320 for two people for this one-day tour, and the overall experience was far below expectations and not worth the cost. We have already submitted a formal complaint to Viator, but it was refused without any clear reason. Could someone please review this matter again or escalate it to a supervisor? Thank you

***This listing does not include tickets to the Alhambra***This company does not respond to customer service inquiries*** Why advertise the listing as a tour to the Alhambra without including tickets? In addition, our bus pickup was 1.5 hours late with minimal communication from the company, and we were not informed we didn’t have tickets until we were already on the bus (if we had known, we would have called it a wash and stayed in Sevilla!). About 15 of the 40 people on the bus were also surprised to learn they did not have tickets. The lateness of the bus cut into the only salvageable part of the day, what was meant to be an hour-long walking tour of the Albaicín neighborhood, which ended up being about 10-15 minutes instead. Then at the end of the day for bus pickup at the Alhambra, again the bus was delayed by ~45 minutes. The company did not respond to my messages sharing my feedback and requesting a refund. Overall, my wife and I felt that this was a waste of one of our limited travel days. Save your time and money and book with another tour company.

Worst Tour Trip Ever

The whole day started badly with a last minute change of pick up location the late afternoon. The day before we were due to go on the tour. Then to make matters worse despite everyone being on time at the new pick up point , the coach was missing and we waited an hour late and was badly disorganised with zero communication from the Tour Guide. The Tour Guide struggled to communicate clearly throughout the day and was often inarticulate. She also was often rude and frankly seemed to behave as if we were there doing her a favour ! We actually never left Seville until 9:00 and then had to spend a wasted half hour getting ‘breakfast’ as a shabby road side stop when frankly we should have been focussing on making up time lost. The actual experience in Alhambra was breath taking and in itself worth seeing but noticeably we didn’t have to suffer the same Guide who was running the Tour but got a very positive and well informed local guide to make the day at least worthwhile. We do not think we have ever experienced such poor communications and below school grade organisational skills. We paid over £200 for a 15 hour nightmare day. We have since seen other Reviews that showed us we should have booked a train directly and organised our own Tour Guide and tickets which would have been less arduous and better value.

Ever heard of an Alhambra tour that doesn't visit the Alhambra? Here's the one! When booking, you were given an option of whether or not you wanted to see the Nasrid Palaces, but we had no idea what that meant and we had seen a lot of palaces so we opted for the without option. Well apparently the Alhambra is one of the Nasrid Palaces which was not at all clear in the listing. So, again, we were on the Alhambra tour that didn't include the Alhambra! We should sue this company for false advertisement! This was supposed to be an English tour but the tour included both English and Spanish tourists, so everything had to be spoken in both languages. That is not what we signed up for! Adding insult to injury, the tour guide spoke very poor English and you could only understand parts of what she said! I attempted to contact the tour company twice and nobody answered, then I received a call back and the guy told me if you wanted the palaces you should have selected them! Again how was anyone to know the Alhambra wasn't included in the Alhambra tour! I would definitely go with another company if I were you! This company is undeserving of your business!

The Alhambra Guided tour was a nice experience. The city of Albaicin was very charming and had nice views of Alhambra on the hill. Although we got to see the outside of Alhambra which was beautiful, we did not get to see the inside even though our tour package we purchased said ticket was included. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Sevilla and Grenada and we learned a lot about those cities.

Do not book this trip!

Do not book with this company! Of our group of 42, many who booked tickets a year in advance, 15 of us did not get admission to any of the buildings in the Alhambra despite paying for the full admission experience. There was no way for our tour guide to remedy this and the company in charge of the trip did not pick up any of his phone calls. So we got to do the "free" tour instead, which was not the experience we were promised.
