It was as a very smooth experience from booking, contact from the local manager, through to our knowledgeable guide.
We choose a ‘small party’ tour which was ideal for us! The guide gave us headphones so we could always hear what he was saying even if he was a few paces ahead of us.
Our guide was thoughtful and directed us to less busy areas in the palace and found the shade on a particular hot day! His knowledge of the palace and Spanish history was amazing and he made his information amazing with a little humour!
At the end of the tour he suggested other areas we could explore on our own.
Great communication on meeting up. Slick tour. Personally I would’ve enjoyed spending longer wandering the gardens vs the longer history inside - but I realise that’s just my attention span. I feel it was a worthy tour - very popular and you need to book in advance
Andres, our tour guide, was interesting, organized, knowledgeable and super-personable. I can’t imagine a better tour guide for Sevilla!!! Because of his expertise we enjoyed a focused and engaging tour of the amazing Alhambra. Gracias, Andres!
Well worth getting a guide to see the Alcazar. Highly recommend doing a small group tour. Rosa was very informative and lots of fun.
The private tour of the Alcazar is an incredible experience, a step back in time. Our guide, Lola, was so informative, relating history, stories and anecdotes. It was a highlight of our time in Seville.
The Alcazar was beautiful and the garden was so big you could get lost in. Our guide gave us so much information about Pedro who built the Alcazar. It was really amazing.

Carolina was an incredible guide! She was extremely knowledgeable, taught us many things, not only about the Alcazar, but also about the culture of Sevilla, and told many great stories to help paint a picture of the past. She went above and beyond on our tour asking us about our trip, giving us more perspective on some landmarks we visited on our own, and made sure we had plenty of laughs along the way. We would love to take another tour with her and highly recommend trying to book with her in the future!

Loved my tour guide with his time keeping, attentiveness regarding the paths and steps. It was great as our group only consists of 5 people altogether so very easy to engage as well. Questions were answered well while a little historical facts made it very interesting visit.

This site was amazing. Book access early as it does go quick. There is so much going on here that we would have missed without someone who knows extensively about the site.
Wonderful morning exploring the palace and gardens. After having just been to Morocco and Egypt it was great to see the influence the Moors have had in Seville.
The tour was terrific! Andreas was very knowledgeable and had great communication skills. Highly recommend the small group tour, as we were able to ask questions.
10 STARS rating!! Many options available online for touring Réal Alcazar, but this was the best if you want a small group, personal attention, love learning about the history & détails of how it was skillfully built by artisans, its beautiful garden- trees- flowers, & the interesting stories of the many kings, both the cruel & the violent & the kind ones.
Also, 1.5 hour was not too long to be tiring.

ANDRES, the tour guide spoke excellent English, was so fun, friendly & considerate!! He made sure we all could hear him, kept our group comfortable in shaded area, avoiding other crowded tour groups & gave us time to take photos & answered our questions. As the tour only takes maximum of 9 & our group only had 5 people, it was pretty much a private tour with the personal attention to keep even our teenage daughter engaged & interested! Thank you Andres for making it an unforgetable experience for us!! LOVE it!!
Andres was the best tour guide ever. He was so incredibly knowledgeable - he even gives tours to locals to teach them about King Pedro.

Ferran was one of the best guides we have been with. We only had the 1.5 hour tour of the Alcázar but he was so interesting, clear speaking and captivating. Would very much like to have other tours with him if we came back to Sevilla.

This tour of the Alcazar was really a tour through time. Our guide did a good job explaining all the layers of history and culture that the Alcazar represent. Visitors are limited, which makes the tour even better. Not for children.
I think our guide’s name was Fernando, and he was outstanding. Alcazar is very beautiful, and in some ways I think it’s even prettier than Alhambra, though on a smaller scale. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend!
Wonderful tour and very considerate guide. Very knowledgeable. Always looking out for everyone in the small group. Making sure that the rooms / locations within the Alcazar were not to crowded before entering to give you the best experience of the rooms. Would we recommend this tour? Definitely - so much better than with a big group. Thank you Andrés for making the Alcazar so special.

Great tour of the palace - you can do longer trips but this was great length with teen , v interesting and great guide
We had what amounted to a private tour (only 7 counting us) with an exceptional guide, Andres. He was extremely knowledgeable not only about the history, cultural and political, of the Alacazar; but all Spain and especially his passion for Sevilla! He was charming and very caring as steps and other areas were slippery after the rain. We had a similarly excellent guide at the cathedral (see review), but using Viator for a day long trip from Madrid to Avila and Segovia is not recommended. Go separately to each by train and use Rick Steves on Kindle. Our group was a busload, divided into English and Spanish speakers. Almoist as soon as we arrived in Avila, there was a sheer waste ofprecious time stop for "free tapas anda drink", which was two small slice of manchego and two of salami and the Cokes we asked for instead of wine or beer. There wasan immediate hard sell to buy the expensive lunch and we could only think of some kind of kickback arrangement. We left and used the time to explore the charming medieval city (with Steves on our phones), meeting the group after their meal, almost an hour! Our guide in both places was more interested in moving people along than providing information and certainly not a sense of personal appreciation, joy even for the towns. Use Viator for small groups as those guides have all been gems. Avoid the big tours unless you cannot get into a place any other way. I've tried to post photos especially of Andres beaming as he pointed to the dome inside Alcazar,but this site keeps returning me to the first page,losing what I have written. So imagine him!
The guide was very thorough and explained the history very well. The Mesquite is a building with beautiful architecture, a treasury of many historic items, and the Catholic Church in the center has beautiful choir stalls
