The tour was advertised as having an expert guide. We had a cab driver with an incredibly strong accent who knew his way around the island nothing more. Where on previous tours we found bottled water here we found barf bags. Viator had double booked the driver and he had expected to get 4 adults and himself in a compact car. The other couple were refunded. As we are unlikely to return to Orkney we had hoped for the advertised “Expert Guide” but ended up wondering how we could tactfully bring the tour to an end. An expensive waste of time

Sorry no cab drivers or strong accent or double book all normal size passengers fitting easy plenty of water was offered but declined , his wife bought plenty of lovely gifts , but did not get out of the vehicle to visit the place of interest on ther departure-left £40 tip i donated it to local charity.

Our guide showed up at the port with a tiny car with a couple seated in the back. There was not any room left in the backseat. That left the front passenger seat for two people (me and my husband). Obviously that would not work. How does someone show up for four people with only room for three? Such a huge disappointment!! I cannot tell you how much I was looking forward to this tour only to be let down. No alternatives were offered. Just a bewildered look from the guide and an offer to refund the tour payment. That did not help us see the beautiful Orkney Islands. So disappointed.

The car is a Citroen Picasso c4 with 4 seats it’s a big car, and offered we can exchange to mini bus and was declined wanted a privet tour,Julie g go a full refund.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was outstanding. He shared his beautiful island with us taking us to see awe inspiring scenery, amazing historical sights and picturesque villages. And throughout he catered the day to our preference and pace. Highly recommend!
