I'll preface this by saying that I have been on multiple food tours in several countries booked through viator and have never had any issues before... usually the standard practice is for the guide to contact you a few days prior to the tour to touch base etc. In this case that never happened and any attempt I made to contact the organizers through the very limited information on the ticket provided on payment went unanswered...nonetheless we arrived at the designated meeting point and the guide never showed. We contacted viator support who provided me with the number that had not been provided on the ticket which was apparently the contact number for the guide... I then contacted the guide and my messages went completely unanswered until I contacted viator support AGAIN at which point I got a very suspicious message from the "guide" almost an hour after our designated meeting time asking me if I had "trouble finding the restaurant"...I must state there was absolutely NO mention of any restaurant at any point in this process. I advised that at no point had I been provided with a name of a specific restaurant and asked where it was so we could catch up with the group...once again my message went completely unanswered until I again contacted viator this time asking for a refund...less than 10 minutes later the guide contacted me again with apologies because apparently the "information on the ticket was incorrect" which didn't really explain the lack of contact after the fact...the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth and seems extremely suspicious I have my doubts that this is a legitimate tour and recommend that people stay away

Upon review, we confirmed that the guide's contact number is correctly provided on the voucher. The meeting point mentioned in your booking voucher is indeed in front of the restaurant, as shown in the photos of the experience. We got in touch with the guide and he informed us that he got in touch with you when you sent a message and also afterwards to try to get the experience back to you but no response. The location of the meeting point in your booking voucher is the exact meeting point in front of the restaurant, which is also visible from the photos of the experience on the viator page.
