Zip around Old San Juan by Segway as you explore its top attractions on this 2-hour small-group tour. Take in incredible views of San Juan Bay, Castillo San Felipe del Morro and San Cristobal Fort, among others, as you learn the fascinating history of this 500-year-old settlement first started by the Spanish Empire.
Meet your group at Pier 2 in Old San Juan, the tour’s departure point. Your meeting time will vary depending on the tour option you select, leaving at either 10am, 1pm or 4pm. First grab your helmet and get a safety lesson on using the two-wheeled Segway from your guide, and take some time to get familiar with starting and stopping. From there you’re ready to roll, heading out into the streets of this picturesque colonial district.
Move along the area’s cobblestone streets and colorful facades, stopping for photos and for a military history lesson from your guide. Soon you’ll reach Darsenas Square, which provides panoramic views of modern San Juan and its bay, and then see the remains of the San Juan Gate, where you'll hear about the crucial role the city’s harbor once played in maritime defense.
Continue your ride along the hilly streets, stopping to admire the imposing walls of La Muralla, a 3-mile (5 km) long and 140-foot (43 m) high barrier that once served as the linchpin of Old San Juan’s military defenses.
Your tour then moves past some additional monuments, including the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, site of the remains of famous Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon, who searched for the Fountain of Youth, as well as the Ballaja infantry barracks and the cannon battery of La Perla, which was eventually turned into a slaughterhouse. After a few more attraction stops, your tour finishes back at the departure point.

Excursions did not happen. Did not communicate with us about trip. I had to find out myself and explore.

We originally wanted a Segway tour, but we’re so. glad that the Segway‘s weren’t available because we saw so much more on the bikes! Driving in, I was very concerned about the amount of traffic and how we would navigate it, however, we had no issues with traffic and had a wonderful tour learning about old San Juan!

Tour was a lot of fun and pleasant. Also enjoyed learning the history of Old San Juan (especially with the wars).

The Segway wasn’t available due to repair issues. I was disappointed about that, but the E-Bike was great too. If you’re new to E-Bikes you may want to practice a bit first before getting on the roads. Jose was a great tour guide and really knows his stuff. Easy to find the meet up location.
Jodi_E, Mar 2026
Jose was terrific & quite patient. After a few lessons, I was on my way on the EBike. What a fantastic way to see all the historic spots w/ease! I would highly recommend this tour!

Very informative and exciting tour. Easy ride around town on the bikes. Full of history. Enjoyed touring all over town.
JUDE_L, Mar 2026
Great tour of San Juan. Bikes easy to operate, just need about 2/3 mins and you will get the hang of it. Got to see a lot of sights in 2 hours

Jose was a great tour guide. He provided a lot of historical facts and was very easy to talk to throughout the tour.

Five family members, ranging in ages from 24-55, had a fabulous e-bike tour with José at the end of February 2026. After a brief orientation to the bikes, he safely led us through Old San Juan. The high-tech Segway e-bikes looked brand new and were easy to master. José is an amazing storyteller! We were able to see a ton of sights in 2 hours because of the efficiency of e-biking. Couldn’t have had a better experience!!!

Unfortunately, our Segway tour was cancelled due to the units being damaged by a power surge. The tour operator was good about letting us know in advance, and offered to do the e-bikes instead. We did it, but I would not do it again. We definitely could have used more instruction on how to use the bike. San Juan is very crowded when several cruise ships are in port, and not a great place to be on a bike. And the guide just kind of took off at times, not looking back to check on people to see that everyone was keeping up.

Excellent tour, Jose was a good carefully guide. Unfortunately we could not use the segways as there had been an electrical surge. E-bikes (Segway) replaced them and the trip ran pretty smoothly despite the downpour. Thanks for a great experience and loved the bikes

What a great way to see some of old San Juan. Right there on the streets with an interesting guide. Typically small groups, so you have ample opportunity to ask questions.

Fantastic way to see San Juan without fighting traffic or walking. The e bike option gives you a much better option to see more.
rebeccahalpern, Jan 2026
The segways were not working due to a power outage so we used electric segway bikes instead which were actually perfect for the terrain of the cobbled old city were well maintained and easy to use. The guide also gave us amazing historical facts of st juan which we all enjoyed even my 17 year old son was fascinated. Only down side communication wasn't great when trying to get further information regarding timing due to our ship coming in quite late when we first booked a few weeks ago until the last few days before the tour when communication was better and the guide was very good at adapting the tour to our needs in view of the timing our cruise ship Docked.

Jose the tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. We did the tour on e-bikes which were new and so much fun to operate. It truly is a fantastic tour with a fantastic guide. I highly recommend!

My wife and I loved our e-bike tour of Old San Juan with Jose. The e-bikes had plenty of power and took us up the hills effortlessly. Jose really knows his stuff and was an excellent guide. I can’t imagine a better way to see Old San Juan and learn about its history. Don’t hesitate to book this tour.
Jerel_W, Jan 2026
The tour was fun and educational. We saw many historical sites around old San Juan and learned about the evolution of the island over the past 500 years.

Jose was an outstanding tour guide, and his state of the art Segway electric bikes made the experience even better. His knowledge, focus on safety, and excellent communication truly set him apart. Everyone had a fantastic time, learned a great deal, and felt well taken care of throughout the tour. We highly recommend his services, and for anyone arriving by cruise ship, his location is absolutely ideal.

The e-bike tour was amazing. We covered lots of ground and learned about Old San Juan. Our guide was very passionate about the city and Puerto Rico, had a great energy.
James_S, Dec 2025
Our Segway tour did not happen as the operator in San Juan did not show up. They had the wrong time due to a plan change ang did not update their schedule. Our ship all aboard time did not allow us to start at a later time. Our cost was refunded in full.
We were really looking forward to this Segway tour because we have done one before in a different location.
Melissa_R, Dec 2025
Very fun way to see the city. Jose was very knowledgeable about the history of the country, etc. it will be hot so bring water.

This was our second time taking the Old San Juan Segway Tour with our incredible guide, Jose, and it was even better than the first! We came back specifically so our kids could experience it and learn about the rich history of San Juan, the island of Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, and Jose delivered once again! His knowledge is absolutely unmatched. He brings the stories of the city to life with so much passion and clarity that you can’t help but walk away (or ride away!) feeling more connected to this amazing place.
Jose was also extremely helpful in showing us how to use the Segways. Within minutes it felt completely intuitive, even for the kids. This time, I also tried the new Segway Safari e-Bikes, and they were a fantastic surprise. Fast, comfortable, and a super fun way to explore the area!
We were visiting San Juan for just one day on a cruise, and we’re so thankful we chose to do this tour again. It set the perfect tone for our visit and even gave us extra time afterward to return to El Morro and later enjoy a delicious late lunch at Raíces. The Mofongo and the ambience was amazing!
A perfect day in San Juan, thanks to Jose and this outstanding tour company. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful tour with Jose through Old San Juan. His rich knowledge of the history and design of the city was fascinating. He was patient with us, as this was our first time using Segways. By the end of the tour, we mastered them! Would absolutely recommend this tour to any visitor to San Juan!

The Old San Juan Segway Tour was absolutely fantastic! Riding a Segway through the colorful streets and historic sites made exploring so much more fun and effortless. Instead of walking up and down the hills, we got to glide smoothly while still seeing everything up close.
Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great stories about the city’s history, culture, and hidden gems. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident on the Segways before we started, which put us all at ease.
We visited the forts, plazas, and cobblestone streets, stopping often for photos and interesting insights. The Segways made it easy to cover a lot of ground while still having time to soak in the views.
If you’re visiting Old San Juan, this tour is a must-do! It’s fun, informative, and a unique way to experience the charm and history of the city. Highly recommend!
