The zoo is walking around slight up & down but beautiful natural pathway over the vegetation & the animal enclosures. The animals have a large area with natural setting. Very impressive park. Went in summer can have mosquitoes.

We had a wonderful day at the zoo after walking up Ounasvaara in the morning. Joey was a great guide who ensured we had a memorable day. He was attentive to our needs and did everything he could for us. We loved seeing animals we have not seen before in zoos in Australia. The only downside was the vehicle provided by the tour company was probably below the standard required. Air-conditioning didn't work. Rusty panels. No step to get in and out.

We had a great time at the zoo & Ounasvaara! Albert was a great guide and gave us a lot of info about Finland, the nature, and the animals we saw.
We didn’t feel rushed and got to enjoy everything. Definitely recommend this tour if you love nature & all of its creatures! Thank you Albert for being a great guide!
