What To Expect

Meet your guide and tour group at the centrally located starting point and listen to a safety briefing and introduction to canoeing before you launch.

Hop into your Hawaiian-style canoe at Urca Beach, a beautiful spot on Guanabara Bay. As you paddle, listen to facts about the ecosystem and natural history of the area from your knowledgeable guide. Admire views of Rio's city skyline and the towering Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Head for Fora Beach, which sits at the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain. After crossing the open ocean, you'll be happy for some rest time here to swim and relax. Enjoy the sun and warm water before getting back into your canoe and paddling back to your starting point, where your tour ends.
