Head first for the Marche De Noel Allemand. Discover this German–style Christmas market and find out where to enjoy the best samples of festive fare.
Your next stop is the famed Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, believed to be the most photographed hotel in the world. Warm up with an included hot chocolate on the Dufferin Terrace while enjoying the view.
Notre-Dame de Quebec Basilica-Cathedral is next. Here you can admire the Nativity scene and Christmas decorations inside and outside of the Church and its Seminary.
Finally, discover Quartier Petit Champlain, the cradle of French culture in North America. See the district at its very best while it is glowing with Christmas decorations.
Your tour ends a short strolling distance from the meeting point.

Informative and delightful guide who knows the history of Quebec City well. If doing this tour in the winter as we did, make sure your feet are warm as this is 100% an outdoor tour where you’re standing on snow and ice quite a bit. It was a great way to get a feel for where things are to start our stay there.

the guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. the tour felt christmasy because of the decorations and it happened to be snowing but only less than ½ of the tour was about Christmas traditions--the rest was about the history of Quebec--still interesting. the pace could have been faster because the day was very cold.

Tour had some good information but not as much overall Canadian history as would have been nice. Some parts of the tour felt boring and unnecessary when we walked to an old building (now apartments) to talk about a nun that was not that significant. The kids were easily bored and half our group faded out before the tour was over. We did not tour the markets or have a treat from the market as advertised, just some hot chocolate from a stand near a hotel. It just overall was not that engaging.

The guide never mentioned Christmas, never. He was fine with the history . I had already had a lengthy tour which discussed the history in detail. Very disappointed.

This tour was really fun and informative, but for future customers please know that there is a lot of standing in one spot while the guide gives information. So if it is a cold day, dress very very warmly! We were freezing despite our layers, but glad we stuck it out.

Again I was late…coming from Lévis and had to find my group. I did find them and had a lovely time. Didn’t seem to be about Christmas…just churches and founders. We didn’t go in any of them…sad, as I love the architectures of them. Will have to go back and see them myself. The boardwalk was interesting. Our guide was very informative and you can tell he loves Quebec.

The Christmas Magic tour of Old Quebec was more than we imagined. We learned so much about the history of Christmas, and how traditions developed. We learned how the French and English celebrated Christmas differently. Chantal was a wonderful guide! You will have to climb hills and down stairs.
