Fantastic- if you don’t do this you are terribly missing out! Pierre was full of knowledge, the old city is well worth your time especially if you love history like I do

Great tour guide, very interesting tour. It was rainy but the tour still went on. Our tour guide gave us a lot of history about Quebec City, and what it was like years ago.
Liz_C, Jul 2026
Interesting topics, engaging, wonderful guide! We learned a lot & really enjoyed ourselves! When the tour was over our guide gave us the perfect dinner recommendation for a restaurant that had great food & a reasonably priced children’s menu for the kids! We so appreciated him!

We had a great walking tour with our guide Valentina. She was very knowledgable about the city of Quebec, it's history and current things to do. She was open to (and encouraged!) questions about all the things we were seeing. It was a great way to get an overview of the city to start our trip there!

History buffs only. Way too much detail.
Don’t need every date of every little thing.
Go to point of interest brief explanation and move on

Bonjour Kevin,
I wish I had your full name since I can’t find you in our guests to find out when and with whom you did your tour. Many Kevins as guests in the last few weeks but none with a last name starting with N. That said, I am very sorry if you actually did the tour with us and clearly did not do a great job. I am surprised by your review since I really prioritize hiring guests that are genuine and know that our guests do this tour as a 101 introduction to Old Quebec and Quebec City. It should not be about dates, but really about understanding our story, history and culture and getting an orientation of what to do next. If you see this, please send me a message so I can know with whom you did your tour and offer a refund. Émilie

Martin was very well educated with the history of Quebec and shared a lot of fun facts as well.
Highly recommend this tour !!

This was a very fun and easy walkable tour of the lower and upper parts of old Quebec city. The guide we had Evelyn was very informative and friendly. She walked us through the Rich history of the beginnings of the town to include a fun fact that I never knew called the King‘s daughters. She offered to stop us at coffee shops if we wanted and restroom breaks as well if we wanted. A fun way to get to the upper city is using the funicular and that was part of the experience as well. She talked about all the Rich culture and history. We really love this tour and I would highly recommend doing it again. It was a great way to be exposed to all parts of old Quebec city.

Our tour guide Denis provided a rich and very interesting history of Canada and Old Quebec City. We loved learning about the sites we visited. Even in the rain it was still such an enjoyable walking tour. Denis made the stories come to life. He was wonderful.

We took the 6:00 tour on a very hot day in Quebec. Only the 2 of us showed up so we had a private tour. Our tour guide Gabriella was great. She was very knowledgeable. We learned so many interesting things and she gave us suggestions for other things to do. I really felt I knew Quebec afterwards. I would highly recommend it.

Sam was awesome. Funny, knowledgeable and made sure we kept finding g the shade as we learned about your lovely city. Merci!!

We booked this activity as our first item in Quebec City to orient ourselves with the town. I found the tour interesting and helpful in learning the history of the town, picking up some ideas of what to do and where to eat, and gaining insight on current culture interactions. Our tour guide was knowledgable and witty. We enjoyed her pace and information very much. The tour went over about 20 minutes, and my group (husband, two teenage daughters, and me) were hangry at the end and very much needing to lunch. But that being said, I would 100% do it again (but pack a granola bar for along the way).

We saw a variety of areas which was nice. There is a lot if history behind Quebec City. Our guide was extremely informative and had a nice personality. We also learned about an outside mural and some movie facts. It was hard for me to retain all the history information. Having some diversity with more current information is nice. I would have liked more of that information.
Donna_V, Jul 2026
Great tour. Etienne was wonderful, extremely knowledeable and pleasant. Great way to start off a visit to Quebec City, perfect orientation for the rest of our trip.
Kathleen_B, Jul 2026
Paul was the guide for our group. He’s so well versed in the history of the region, but also has lots of quirky stories to share. Viator tours are a great way to get the lay of the land when visiting a new city.
Narinder_S, Jul 2026
Good two hour walk through history filled streets. Covered lower town and upper town.
The Funicular was a good add on in the walk.
Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Catherine_L, Jul 2026
Madeline is a wonderful guide and has a great sense of humor. We loved the tour and would recommend this as a great introduction to the city and its history. I’ve been to the city before, but this is the first time we took a tour. There was a lot to discover!

Easy to moderate 2 hour walk with a group, regular stops to listen to the walking guide who tells stories of old Quebec City. Pierre/Peter was our guide and he has an east to listen to voice and can speak very good English as he a French speaker. Highly recommended.
A_S, Jun 2026
This was a fun and informative tour, mostly of lower town. Dennis provided an excellent history of the city and a few favorite spots to eat and enjoy.
Anne_Q, Jun 2026
Terry was a
knowledgeable guide. You could tell he enjoyed what he was doing. We had a preteen and a teen, and everyone enjoyed the tour. He went out of his way to answer any of all questions and provide good recommendations.
Pasquale_A, Jun 2026
Pierre was very courteous and professional. He was very informative and interesting to listen to. He is an amazing tour guide and my wife and I enjoyed the two hour tour immensely 👍❤️
Janice_F, Jun 2026
Tour guide Denis, was excellent. Gave great information. He made the history come alive by sharing his personal connection to the city through the history of the Kings Daughters.
Rae_C, Jun 2026
Odette is an excellent guide, so full of knowledge and super friendly! She made the whole experience truly outstanding. I would highly recommend this tour!
Amparo_B, Jun 2026
Nothing interesting. To my mind waste of time and money. Not any robust historical data. The guide treated us like children, talking about trivialities with no coherent narrative. It was an unsatisfying experience. It made me think the city wasn't worth visiting until I took a tour with another company.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Bonjour Amparo,
I very sorry our tour was not what you expected. I have the impression you did not review the right tour since your guide received 2 totally opposite reviews from yours (guests that were on the same tour as you on June 27th at 3 pm) like this one : Diane was fantastic and gave a very entertaining and informative tour. She had a great rapport with all. When we met back with the rest of our personal travel group who took a private 3 hour tour. I felt like we got the better deal. We saw much of the same and our guide pointed out local arts that the others did not see.
Carolyn_C, Jun 2026
To start with we missed our initial booking as there was an error on my part. The company was very kind to reschedule to the correct date (5 months later). Diane was fantastic and gave a very entertaining and informative tour. She had a great rapport with all. When we met back with the rest of our personal travel group who took a private 3 hour tour. I felt like we got the better deal. We saw much of the same and our guide pointed out local arts that the others did not see.
Nisha_P, Jun 2026
Exploring an otherwise mostly francophone city can feel a bit overwhelming, but our guide delivered an incredibly informative, engaging experience in English. Terry brought the city’s rich history to life as we walked through the stunning cobblestone streets tailoring the experience to suit children AND seniors. The pacing was perfect and we appreciate all the recommendations Terry gave us at the end of our walk.
Robert_B, Jun 2026
An outstanding and highly recommended walking tour of Old Quebec City, made perfect by Vincent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the entire group engaged with fascinating stories and local insights. His passion for the city’s rich history truly brought the experience to life!
Benjamin_T, Jun 2026
This was a good tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Quebec city. We saw all kinds of cool stuff. He pointed out good restaurants and other sites were stopping in, so that we have plans for the rest of the day.
Jill_R, Jun 2026
Denise did a wonderful job giving us all the amazing history of Quebec City. She was friendly, knowledgeable, great at answering our questions, sense of humor and great all together.
Joan_M, Jun 2026
A great introduction to the history of this city. The guide Pierre (Peter) was very knowledgeable and really enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the group. His recommendations of other places of interest and eateries were very much appreciated.
