Cool walking tour of Quebec City! Night-time was great to see a different perspective of the town. Our tour guide was dressed as a deceased undertaker! Highly recommend this tour

Wonderful energy and great storytelling. Louis, aka Jean, was a great guide and told us stories about local crimes and punishments from years ago. It was a rough time back then. He had some of us participating in the story which was fun. Highly recommend if you are looking for something fun to do in the evening!

Originally booked this tour thinking it was a ghost tour, however, it was more about crimes that were committed in the city. The tour was excellent, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Would highly recommend.

Loved the costumes and our guide was very animated with fun stories. I mis-read the information about the tour and thought we were doing a ghost tour, so it didn't make sense that she wasn't talking about ghosts, but then realized it was a crime tour. Honestly, I would have preferred a ghost tour, but this was fun. It is a LOT of walking down and up steep streets and stairs though, so if you have any problems walking, don't do this tour.

There was a lot of walking as to be expected. I felt like there was minimal crime discussion and the places we did walk to didn’t really hold a significance to the stories that were told outside of meeting at the old prison.

We had the most amazing guide- she played Mary who was married to the Hangman. She was dressed in period costume and the makeup on her face was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable as well as very entertaining, Highly recommend the tour.

This was a great way to experience life in New France back in the day! Marianne did a fantastic job staying in character and describing and demonstrating the penal system of that era. The walk throughout town was picturesque in the dark evening hours but set the mood nicely. Would recommend to others completely.

I enjoyed the stories but feel this was mis marketed since there wasn’t really any mention of what was haunted or any ghosts and such. Interesting history though! Just wish there was more explanation of haunting!

The tour describes various types of crimes and the barbaric punishments ordered about 300 years ago , not too many specific criminals were discussed.

Had a wonderful time and tour of the city. Our guide was lovely, however there weren’t enough stories. We expected more crime stories about real people and what eventually happened to them. She did tell a few… we just expected a lot more information. My friend and I wondered if she was new at this job and maybe forgot all the history and stories in her nervousness. I said I wouldn’t recommend the experience but I’m just unsure. I might recommend it with a more experienced story teller and if more crime stories/history was told.

It was a fantastic tour. Learned so much dark history. Lots of walking around different parts of Old Quebec. Very hilly and not ideal for someone that has disabilities. Loved it!

Amazingly well done tour that took us from the upper town into the lower town, learning about macabre practices and incidents in early Quebec. So many excellent sights to see and stories to hear. Our guide was excellent with a strong voice and deadly perfect make-up. Highly recommended.

The tour guide does not tell you about the places on the walk. Viator should advise not suitable for youth.
