Our 'ghost' storyteller was animated, knowledgeable and interacted well with the group. I'd highly recommend this activity.
Not overly fun or funny. Was expecting more about ghosts, instead of murder and mayhem.. We did not finish the tour
This evening walking tour was a combination of history, fun and drama. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Lau also brought members of our group into the stories that she told and everybody had a lot of good laughs. I highly recommend this tour and Lau. There is a lot of walking down into the city near the waterfront so wear comfortable shoes.
What a wonderful tour. The women that did the English tour was amazing. She was funny and engaging and made it wonderful time.
The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic so it was interesting. I would have preferred less walking and more specific stories about local crime.
It entails a lot of walking down hill and then a lot of steps getting back. There should have been a warning. The tour did not really talk about the locations you went to except the first and 2nd to the last.
Very entertaining and informative, a great adventure into the sordid history of New France and a very active walk through old town Québec! Our guide Leonie was knowledgeable and enthusiastic in telling her tales, we both had a great time!

our guide was very entertaining - keeping the audience engaged - i was hoping for more history notes on where we were - not just a story. though still entertaining.
Angie ("Marie") did an absolutely FANTASTIC job taking us on a tour and relaying some of Quebec City's fascinating historic crimes. Her stories and facts were told in an extremely engaging manner and she was very knowledgeable, answering a multitude of questions from the group. It was honestly my favourite part of our Quebec trip and I can't recommend enough!!
It contains grisly details of Old France, not likely appropriate for the squeamish. The host was very theatrical and played the part very well.
There was a fair bit of walking up and down hills, some might be challenged by that
It's fun, lots of good historical info. Mary was fun and very tasteful in her descriptions. Some slightly challenging walking areas. Rain didn't help.
We had a great time. Despite the light rain, Angie (character name, Mary) kept the group entertained and was very informative. Definitely recommended.

The tour guide was animated and engaging. But, I saw no point in this being a walking tour. There were stopping points, but they had nothing to do with the story being told.
Very animated- good laughs. Very informative. Also had a lot of audience participation. Presenter kept our attention and made the tour fun.
I was hoping for more of a ghost tour instead of a crime tour. They was my mistake for not understanding the content but I found the stories boring. Then when they wanted to go down to Old Town I left the tour. After a full day of walking I did not want to have to hike back up hundreds of steps at 9:30 at night. Overall I was disappointed with this tour.
This is not a ghost tour! The tour guide is costumed as a ghost. It is a one way walking tour to the lowest level of Quebec City in the dark. At the end participants are left to find their way back to the top.
Wast of time. Abandoned very far from starting point. Could barely understand guide. Would never do this again
It was very entertaining. It is a great deal of walking but it covered areas of the city I did not have a chance to see yet. Well done overview of the history of criminal punishments during British rule in Quebec City. Do not take your children if you do not want them to hear about criminal punishments.
A very fun evening with a charming ghostly guide.
You will walk quite a bit and end up in the lower town - we caught the last funicular ride back to upper town. The stories were entertaining and the guide stayed in character throughout.
Wear comfortable shoes and get ready for some role playing.
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the Ghost Tour of Old Quebec that I attended with my wife. We booked this tour expecting an engaging and historical experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
We joined the tour specifically to learn about the history of Old Quebec and hear authentic haunted tales tied to the area's past. However, our female guide struggled significantly throughout the evening:
Communication & Language Barrier: While we understand that English may not have been her first language, her English communication was not clear or cohesive enough to deliver a proper tour. This made it very difficult for our group to follow along.
Lack of Focus & Structure: Rather than delivering structured stories about the history and local legends, the guide frequently lost her train of thought, strayed off-topic, and failed to stay on task with her storytelling.
Because of these issues, we were unable to enjoy or absorb the historical context and ghost stories we paid to hear.
We appreciate that guiding tours in a second language is challenging, but given the reputation and cost of the tour, we expected a higher standard of delivery and historical narrative. We were going to do another one of your tours in Montreal when we get there but we are going to pass. We hope you will address this feedback with your team.

This tour was so much fun. I've spent a fair amount of time in Quebec City, but I've never experienced it this way before. We were met by our guide, in full costume and character, and were treated to stories of notable crimes in New France and the punishments criminals have faced over the city's history. Our guide was so animated, he especially made sure the kids on the tour were engaged, and really brought the stories to life. The fact that it happened to be a dark and stormy night when we did the tour only added to the experience. Do yourself a favour and book this tour!

Fun and entertaining. The guides dress as ghosts (no skimping on the makeup or costume), and guide the tour completely in character, acting as an early settler in Quebec City.
This was a lot of fun! Very humorous while describing the morbid side of history. Just be warned, it’s a lot of walking! We took an Uber back to our car afterwards 😅
The experience is very interesting as well as
fun and invigorating! We saw areas of the city we would have never seen otherwise. Our guide was a comic genius and gave a gold standard tour all the way!
