Good once we found a stop

Found it difficult & stressful to find where to be picked up. On line chat gave wrong spot. Finally called for help. She was very helpful & stayed on phone with us till we found the sign designating a stop. Once on it was a nice tour. Maybe try to search out the sign you are looking for so you don’t stand on a corner watching the bus go past you a block down. It is a sign with a red bus &says UNITOURS

Try to get a map of the bus route so you’ll know when and where to hop on at your first stop. I was given bad information from the live chat agent and ended up wasting about three hours trying to find the bus route. I finally contacted the tour manager, who texted me the map showing various stops, which was very helpful, but that would’ve been so much nicer to have at the beginning of the day before I wasted several hours and a taxi ride getting to the place where I could hop on the bus.

The bus stops at 4 pm and often takes 45 minutes before another bus comes. I hopped off and then took over an hour before another bus came so I ran out of time since they stop after 4pm. Only rode for about an hour so not worth the money for me!

It’s a nice bus and a pleasant ride. Narration is recorded. You listen with earphones for your language. But while Old Town Quebec is fascinating, the rest of the city is just a normal big city, and that’s where 90% of the tour goes. Also note that if you need to change your ticket to the following day you cannot. They made us eat the charge for the one day and buy new tickets for the next, so you might not want to get tickets too far in advance.

Very easy to use. Start at any of the designated stops. They can scan your ticket. The audio, with fresh disposable earphones they provide, is very clear and easy to understand with 7 language options. Drivers are friendly and helpful. I used the message function on the Viator ticket page to get help with the amazing real time map to figure out where the buses and stops are. Be on the top deck for the great views!

If you book via internet, be aware that once you booked, you will have real troubles finding the location of the stops, because your confirmation will NOT give you that information. Better book in info tourism or at the hotel where they give you map and directions. Calling Viator won't help. Their robot sends you to the touroperator but won't give you the number. Tour itself was worth every bitbof it. However, if party is more than 2, take a cab. Much cheaper to get around. Maybe less background info, but if loud Canadians are sitting behind you, you won't hear the audio anyways....

No live narration

We were on 2 buses on the hop on hop off on the same day and neither of the drivers provided any instructions or live narration on the microphone. It would have been helpful to hear information about how to deboard and why the bus was stopped for extended duration at the museum of civilization.

We got to see a lot of Quebec City on this excursion but there is no way to communicate with the driver that you are wanting off if you are on the top level. They would stop at a schedule stop but before you could get off, they were taking off again. I would still recommend this trip because Quebec City is beautiful and it was nice to get an overview of the city..

Very informative and enjoyable. We lucked out with an iffy weather forecast and could sit on the upper deck. Bring a tight fitting hat as Quebec City is windy!

Way too crowded and unreliable!

It was extremely crowded on a Saturday morning. We made the mistake of getting on a bus near our hotel and the top was already full. We had seats below, however the driver just kept piling people onto the bus with no seats left, so they soon blocked all views. We should have just hopped off, but other customers were saying that it was 35-45 minutes til another bus. We ended up walking and seeing more and being more comfortable. This hop on hop off experience was not a good one. Others in our party did a 3 hour scheduled bus tour and loved it. They also saw a lot more and were comfortable.

Really fun, shows you the entire city and you can get off to visit other monuments or parks. You have headsets to listen to the history of the town. Enjoyed it very much . Will do it again

An extremely good tour for the price!

The coach drivers are VERY helpful and friendly, carrying my walker onto the bus and joking with us. We enjoyed the tour very much. Our issues were my mobility and our lack of knowledge of the city, plus not knowing enough French to be comfortable with asking questions of other people at the sites. I found it harder to choose which stops to stay at. Perhaps the site could go into more detail on what each stop involves. We started out from the wrong stop, but the contact responded, and the driver came and picked us up. Sorry for not knowing the area, we were complete Newbies! All in all, the tour was a VERY good investment and showed us more of Quebec City than we otherwise would have seen in the 2 1/2 days we stayed. This was our introduction to Quebec City and we enjoyed it very much.

The views were nice from the upper level of the bus. We didn’t get a schedule of the stops. We decided to do the whole loop one time, it was 2 hours long. We decided not to get off since it would be a long wait for the next pick up. It was a nice tour of everything around Quebec.

The narration on the english selection was a little jarring for me. Her pronunciation of certain sites and key quebecois figures continuoously startled me. Would prefer an english speaking francophone who could pronoun names and sites as they were meant to spoken. Otherwise a great way to see Quebec

The tour takes just under two hours to go to all 16 stops. Easy to hop on and off. Viator wasn’t very clear about where to get on the bus as it didn’t provide us with a map. I did my own research and found a map on Unitours, who actually does the tour.
