At your appointed time, meet your vessel at the edge of the St. Lawrence River. Climb aboard the Louis Jolliet, named after the French-Canadian explorer. Choose from a range of seating areas, and admire views from the water's edge.
Set off to admire sights including the historic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac hotel, one of Canada’s most storied hotels.
Next, continue just beyond the city to view Montmorency Falls, a thundering 272-foot (83-meter) waterfall that's even higher than Niagara Falls.
Then, continue to the historical island borough of Île d’Orléans, which offers picturesque countryside scenery.
As you go, learn about the history of Québec City, the St. Lawrence River and the aforementioned points of interest from your costumed guide, dressed as Louis Jolliet himself.
A variety of beverages and snacks are available for purchase on board the boat. At the end of the tour, return to your original departure point and disembark the vessel.

- Cruises operate rain or shine, unless adverse weather conditions pose a safety risk to passengers. In the event of unfavourable weather, there's an enclosed area on the cruise boat

This was a waste of time. Despite booking our ticket online and well in advance, the people in the ticket redemption booth were so slow that we were near the last to get on. The presenter was boring and could not be heard.Consequently people ignored her and talked throughout. It was cold that day so we sat inside and had poor visibility on all sides.

Well worth it! A great explanation of the history of Quebec City. While we didn't partake in getting food, there were plenty of options.

Very windy outside! And hard to hear the narration out there. Nice boat ride with some good points of interest noted. Needed to incorporate more history of Quebec, though. Focused only on economic/industrial topics, which did not appeal to me.

If weather does not permit sitting outside, it is somewhat boring. Would rather have had light music than the commentary as it could not be heard above the engines.

I traveled with a group of two dozen senior citizens. It was easy to book our tickets, quite a bit in advance. The crew and ticket booth staff were helpful and friendly. The tour narrator was engaging and well acquainted with his subject. When I called to ask about food on the boat, the friendly staff person told me that snack food is available. So imagine our pleasure to find a good variety of very tasty salads and sandwiches. I liked seeing the port and the icebreakers. But I think for most of the group it was seeing the Montmorency Falls in full flow.The only thing I might have asked for was better weather - but, hey, you can't control everything!

We were a group of 28 seniors. The booking was easy, although we had to make 2 separate reservations to accommdate all in our party. The guide, David was excellent, speaking in both French and English. He was very informative and personable. The food and beverages on board were better than expected, and there was even a small gift shop. Seating was plentiful on our day, being midweek and it was a bit chilly and raining at the start of the cruise.

The guide, David, was very knowledgeable. He was very clear in all of his explanations, he was genuine in his relaying the relative details. The rest of the crew was cordially and attentive during embarking and disembarking. The sun was shining, the craft was steady and David was keeping everyone informed. A relaxing 90 minute cruise. The bilingual cruise guide talked for most of it alternating between French and English. It must be exhausting and she did it well. We passed several distinctive buildings that I wondered about and she didn’t discuss but otherwise we got a good overview of a lovely area.

The tourguide narating the tour was very infomative and interesting. He provided much more insight than I was expecting. The boat was well equiped with staff and food & drinks for purchase. It was a wonderful way to experience & learn a bit more about QC by getting out on the water and not spending all day on a tour. Highly recommend!
