Very unorganized pickup...

Very unorganized pickup and drop off with multiple stops and transfers from RIU palace. No English speaking guide was provided for us and basically was left to wait for 2 hours after we got back from the trip to start the process of getting home. One of the bus drivers got us hooked up with another company’s bus ride home after sitting for 2 hours. The island is beautiful but wasn’t anything spectacular. I feel like this tour is meant to be a booze cruise more than an experience.

We got picked up at our resort and they stopped at a gas station a half hour away for quite a while. Eventually they called my husband and I off the bus without explanation and sent us to another bus. When we got to the boat they made us take a photo "part of the process" and we carried on. The rest of the day went well and the island was nice. Be prepared to transfer boats in the water. This would not be suitable for people with mobility issues or injuries. When we got back to the bus they passed us bottles of some home made rum with leaves in it with our photos on it from the beach then proceeded to tell us to pay for it $20USD. It made the photo and what was originally presented as a gift feel super dishonest and we didn't like it. Wouldn't go again and wouldn't really recommend it. It's a very long day as well

This trip had more negatives than positives. To start, the pickup bus arrived nearly 30 minutes later than the scheduled time we were told to be outside. Once we finally got on, we had to transfer buses twice, and the entire process felt very disorganized. Even the staff seemed unsure about which bus we were supposed to take. What should have been about a one hour ride turned into nearly three hours due to the multiple transfers and stops. The boat itself was old and dilapidated. While the island was beautiful, we were disappointed by how little time we had there, only about 1 hour and 55 minutes. The food provided was very average, with small portions. For the return trip, we were placed on a different boat with another group, and the ride back took about two hours. Overall, the experience felt poorly organized from start to finish. We ended up booking our own Uber back just to avoid dealing with the bus again. I wish I had chosen a different company and had known what to expect in advance.
