I was pretty disappointed. I chatted with a customer service rep to ensure this boat would not have more than 20 occupants. They confirmed. We were a group of 8 so a few others besides us wouldn't have been a problem. Once we arrived, there were at least 80 people, kids included. We spoke with another couple that stated they booked a reservation advising of the same thing and was put on the same boat. When asked to speak to a manager, they advised what the representative and the description meant was that you're not allowed to purchase more than 20 tickets. Which was a lie. They offered to take us back to our hotel and refund us, but with us leaving the next day, we didn't want to miss out on seeing the island, so we got on the boat. There was literally nowhere to sit! People had to sit and lay on the hard floor. There was almost no room to walk around. Imagine sitting/laying on the hard floor for hours. Very uncomfortable. And what I wanted to prevent. The food offered was cold and not good. We were given 1 shot of rum and that's it. The island was beautiful and the guys on the boat did a good job and taking great pictures that was available to purchase at the end. Next time I won't book on Viator. I would wait until I get to the resort to book.

I am very sorry for your recent experience. We strive to offer exceptional experiences, and it is clear that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I want to inform you that we have taken your comments into account and have made significant improvements. We now offer a tour option for smaller groups (maximum 20 people) available on our Viator profile. This option is designed to provide a more intimate and comfortable experience. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to offer you an improved experience in the future.

We got picked up at 7:35am. We arrived at Bahiybe port at about 10am. We were then waiting for a while with no communication until another group arrived. I think we eventually boarded the Cataraman at 11am.
Our group leader, Danny Boy was very enthusiastic and all the staff were friendly. Once on the boat, it was great. The dancers and music brought energy and there were free flowing drinks.
We arrived at the blue lagoon an hour later where we had 35 mins to swim. We had photos taken by the staff in the sea and on the boat which we later bought.
We then drove another 40ish minutes to Saona Island. We were taken to our spot for our buffet, which was great food (chicken, pork, spaghetti, rice, veg, fruit etc) and served instantly.
We then had about 1.5 on Saona island which was beautiful. We then boarded a smaller boat which took us back directly to Bahiybe and drove an hour back to our hotel. We got home at 6:30pm.
It’s is more like an 11-12 hour day depending on the time you are picked up/dropped off. Overall we had a great day but communication at the start of the day could’ve been better. Maybe because we are English, but we received little communication on the plan/ structure of the day.
The number of people on board is not too many either.
Overall would recommend.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review! 🌴 We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the energy on the catamaran, the drinks, the dancers, and the beautiful stops at Blue Lagoon and Saona Island. 😊 We appreciate your feedback about the initial communication—we’ll work on making the plan clearer for everyone from the start. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to see you again for another amazing tour! 🛥️🎶📸

NOT worth it .. so I researched for several hours & spoke with people at viator they confirmed it was a small group only 16 people and the tour says 16 people. So I booked the more expensive tour could have book same tour for 20.00 less but I thought I was paying for a small group as advertised so thought extra 20.00 was worth it. . So we get picked at 8:06 , and there is only 6 other people then we start the drive. First we have to stop for gas! , then We are told that we have to stop at souvenir store for 30 min. This was not mentioned in tour. We drive out of our way to store then turn around to get back on road to tour, that took at least 30 min. I did not need any over priced items all charged in US dollars so this was a complete waste of time for me and my 3 other friends. So an entire hour lost ! Get to boat drop off and many other people not 16 as advertised on the boat. Long boat ride but at least comfortable, we stop at natural pool 30 min. No Star fish as advertised ( they moved and they know it so change the ad! I thought I was going to see starfish as advertised but did not see any) then onwards to the island , get there at 1:38 and are told be ready to go back for 3:30, and this includes eating time. So hurry up and eat! The food was good that much I can say. You don’t have to worry about getting loungers cause there is no time for that if you want try to snap a couple of pictures if your lucky because the cool picture spots ( slanted palm tree) are being hogged by self centered people who have outfit changes etc in their pictures taking 30 different poses all of them movies stars ! like i only wanted a couple of pic me and hubby not like 30 ! l Plus garbage no one bothered to put their trash away just left all over the loungers and beside the loungers .. and yes there definitely is garage cans readily available. So have a dip in the water and at 3:15 the guide is yelling for you to come and line up to get back on the boat so back on a speed boat uncomfortable on your back, cramped with many other people loud roar of engine and blasting music non stop ! Not sure why it has to be so load but .it is. I am English speaking I booked English ., yes some English was spoken to us but mostly Spanish and ..the music is not English just loud and non stop ! Yes I know I’m in a different country and this is their music ok I can respect that but .... I ve been to Mexico many times and they cater to the tourists not just Spanish. And I’m in Dominican and I should expect dominion things sure … but tell me why every thing is charged in US dollars ? I thought I was in Dominican! So to us this was a waste of a entire day really travel for a meal that was yes decent ..traditional, and hour or so at the beach and then back in the boat ..could have spend the entire day at bravo beach basically had the same had a meal for 20.00 and relaxed but we actually paid 132.00 for this day and I whole heartedly do not think it was worth it and we certainly would not do it again So if you want to see a nice beach for 2 hours have a meal and be surrounded by a LOT of self centered people NOT the tours fault of course ! Then this is the trip for you but I would not recommend it personally.
