A Journey From Prague to Budapest

Our trip to central Europe started in Prague and finished in Budapest. We considered taking a train or plane, but when we discovered we could have a private driver, including a tour of spots along the way, we were in! Our driver Marketa was excellent. She was on time for our pickup and the car was clean. We first visited the Lichtenstein castle, which was quite impressive. Since this was winter, the gardens were not as beautiful as I'm sure they are in spring and summer. We had lunch in Bratslava, which included time to tour the Christmas markets. We really enjoyed our time in Slovakia and the local food, which I especially loved! We drove on to our hotel in Budapest, which was much nicer than taking a train or other form of transport. I strongly recommend this option to travel and Marketa did a great job, not only driving, but providing us with wonderful stories of the history along the way.

Jonathan was fantastic! Provided a lot of information about all of the sites and was a lot of fun during the ride. The only hiccup was a last minute change to a smaller size vehicle which was really too small for our group. But we all still had a fantastic trip

Martin is a super star driver and guide - we started off with a pick up at the hotel in Prague and headed off to Lednice Palace before having a traditional Czech lunch in Bratislava and walking around the old town. Left Bratislava with fog setting in and arrived in Budapest in the evening, in time for dinner! Martin is knowledgeable, well spoken and extremely accommodating who made our trip interesting and comfortable.
