This is hands down the best way to travel. Our Travel Guide/Driver Dominick was amazing. This young man was so knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. He made sure we were comfortable, hydrated and his first priority. His knowledge of history, culture, and food was top tier. I didn’t need to think about anything because Dominick had it all under control. It was time for me to let go and be on vacation. The lunch spot we were taking to has amazing. I felt like a kid, we even stopped for ice cream

Surcharges are a Problem

This will be a very mixed review. Booking was easy. We asked that the sightseeing be a particular place. The person wrote back that that would be a 50 Euro surcharge, so we settled on a different place. He called the night before our transport to say there had been a problem. We needed to choose a non-English speaking guide or pay a surcharge for one who spoke English. When you book this, you are assured you will have an English speaking guide. It’s part of the reservation. There should have been no discussion of surcharges. Our non-English speaking driver showed up on time, had gone to the trouble of downloading a translation app and he was wonderful. We skipped the sightseeing all together because we were afraid of not finding him when we continued after the stop. The service was delivered but not in the way it was advertised and it was quite expensive.

Hi Jody, thank you for your time writing this feedback. I've reviewed all the details regarding your booking, confirmed in October last year. I have to apologize for my colleague's mistake. He incorrectly requested a surcharge for a detour outside the route. This was our mistake, and we are very sorry for that. Let me explain what difficult situation we experienced. Due to the turbulent changes in the market - huge inflation when costs compared to October 2022 get higher by 16% in the Czech Republic and by 25% in Hungary, we were forced to increase the rates in January. Considering all this, we contacted you before your planned trip with a couple of solutions, and we tried to find the best one instead of simply canceling your trip. That's why we offered either a non-English speaking driver or an English-speaking driver with a slight surcharge (because of the cost increase compared to October 2022). The original transfer rate was very low, and the company had no profit. Nevertheless, our priority was to provide a good service for you. The surcharges were only options, not something mandatory. You chose an option without surcharge, and we assured you that we would always be available for help or support during the whole journey. Our drivers are professionals operating among many cities. No professional driver is a guide in one person. They may know some basic facts, but definitely not in detail. We arranged over 4.000 sightseeing hours for our travelers, and no one gets ever lost. :o) In the end, we are pleased your service was well provided, and you got safely to Budapest.
