Beautiful palace and castle with a truly magnificent cathedral. We had walked a long way to get to the palace and perhaps should have taken public transport to get us to the foot of the palace as we were very tired by the time we had to climb the steps to the palace. We didn't think the signposting was very good; we didn't know where to pick up our tickets but directions were probably on the email I received about the visit and I didn't have them with me. The whole complex was very interesting and the audio guides very informative. Definitely worth a visit!

It took us close to a half hour to find the meeting place - we asked so many guides and even when we found the right place there was no signage to indicate we had arrived. The self guided tour was fun and the place is lovely.

Nice ticket including entry in a castle museum, Prague Castle, a church from 920 ad and St Vincent’s Cathedral. A reasonable cost and included 2 days entry.

We didn’t have to wait for the tickets but we first we went to the Castle and they asked us to pick up tickets from the palace. Instructions should be to pick up the tickets from the palace only. Castle office said they didn’t deal with your company

Misleading ticket vouchers

It is very hard to redeem the Viator voucher at the palace. We tried 4 ticket centres and were told that we couldn’t redeem the voucher there. Therefore the voucher was never redeemed. Such a waste of money. Viator should have a stand in the grounds to redeem the tickets.

On the Prague Castle website I asked the hours for the castle and it said they close at 22:00 but that is just the outer area. The castle and other buildings close between 5:00 and 6:00. We arrived around 4:00 but the Uber driver didn’t know where the ticket gate was so we wandered. We found a ticket office but it wasn’t the right ticket office - that happened twice. We stopped to ask, half of the employees were dismissive and half were lovely and helpful. We were allowed to enter the palace 15 minutes before closing but we were not able to see the castle. I’ve been before in the middle of the day without issue. It is worth your time.

Not a skip the line ticket!

.I am sure part of the problem was that i must not have read all of the instructions, but usually when I get tix on viator, i get a voucher or code to use for entrance—avoid the line ticket. This was not the case and the address provided was not sufficient. I waited in a line for the guest services office only to discover that I was at the wrong guest services office and the one I needed was a lengthy block away. Did I mention the cold misty rain?

Buy Tickets at the Castle directly

After entering the tourist information office and waiting in line for 15 minutes, we were informed that it was not the correct place to pick up our tickets. We walked for another 10 minutes through the Castle to the Palace area. The instructions were not clear on where to get the tickets. Probably better for visitors to buy your tickets directly at the Castle so you can make a decision on what you would like to visit within the castle complex which is really big. The tourist office did not offer maps, therefore very difficult to work out where everything was.

Buying this voucher online will not save you time nor money

I am hoping that sharing my experience will help you. Buying this ticket online has absolutely no benefits. Please read the reasons. 1) The entire area is the working offices of the President ( and/or Prime Minister). So it can be closed to the public with short notice. That is why you cannot buy the ticket online from the property. I got an email from Viator the day before I had my voucher that the entire palace was closed to the public due to a state visit. I do not blame Viator for this; they have not been given advance notice for security reasons. Be aware. If that happens, you will not get a refund. You either have to go a day before or a day after. I was lucky that I had a free day the day after and rearranged my plans. If you have a full schedule or are leaving the next day, that may not be possible. 2) The purchase online will not save you any time or money. You still have to stand in line up to exchange your voucher for a ticket. 3) Prague Castle and Lobkowicz Palace are operated separately. I stood in line at the Prague castle to be told they knew nothing about the voucher. They sent me to Lobkowics Palace, which opens an hour later. By the time I got my ticket, Prague Castle, which had opened an hour earlier, had sold lots of tickets, and the lineup everywhere was long. I did a tour of Lobkowicz Palace and had to return their audio. I was told if I wanted the audit for the castle, then I had to stand up in the long line up at the Prague Castle ( where I was in earlier that day) Conclusion: Show up at the Prague castle early ( before 9 am). Buy your ticket and audio and start your day.

The confirmation email didn’t clearly instruct where to redeem the tickets. We were so frustrated with finding the ticket redeem place. It took us quite a lot of time walking inside out the complex.

There was an interesting story behind everything and the portrait galleries were wonderful. We had no problems with getting the tickets and there are many spectacular views of Prague to be found. The only problem was the amount of people on walking tours which makes some attractions quite busy. Would definitely buy tickets again from Viator.

The Palace exhibition of paintings and objects is stunning. The audio guide is very informative and adds hugely to the experience. The castle itself really requires a guided tour, or else you just goggle bemusedly and don't learn anything.

L'endroit pour le retrait de billets est très mal renseigné sur place. Dès l'entrée au château il n'y avait aucune indication et nous avons dû faire la file au guichet pour obtenir les informations pour le retrait des billets.

L'attrazione più bella è sicuramente la cattedrale di S. Vito! Il palazzo Lobkowicz è risultato più interessante rispetto alle tre sale del castello visitabili. Tutto sommato la visita al quartiere è stata un po'deludente.....
