Michal was a fantastic guide-very courteous and knowledgeable about every aspect of our excursion. In addition, we also learned more history as we traveled in a nice, luxury SUV. Our lunch was delicious and served at a quaint little restaurant. Highly recommend Michal as a guide!

This was an absolutely outstanding tour! Michal is a fantastic tour guide. He met us at our hotel to pick us up, and made everything seamless along the way. Michal has a ton of knowledge about everything Czech and was full of information about Kunta Hora during the tour there…and also was a great source of information about other things for us to do.
During the trip to Kunta Hora we toured all the key sites in town. Michal gave us the full story walking us around both churches, the Ossuary, and other great spots in town for viewing. We couldn’t tour the silver mines as they are closed on Monday, but that is an option.
Michal also took us to a great place for lunch that was filled with locals off the beaten path of the tourist groups.
I highly recommend this trip with Michal, and any other one you see with him. You will not regret it!

Michal was absolutely outstanding!!! If I could give him more stars than 5 I would. Firstly, a VERY pleasant and kindly man that we enjoyed conversing with greatly! Very knowledgeable and intelligent. Answered every question we had completely. Not only did we learn a great deal about the sites we visited but also a vast amount Czech history and present day thinking and many recommendations for back in Prague. Transportation vehicle was very comfortable and clean. Outstanding experience!!

Truly great day out. Michal was incredible to work with and we enjoyed every part of it. His English is perfect, he knew a ton of history but he also gave it to us in such a way as to be both funny and informative without overwhelming. The bone church is one of the most amazing things we’ve ever seen, and the town is really interesting to walk around. Michal took us to his favorite place for lunch and the food was excellent. Really can’t say enough good things about the trip and Michal specifically. If you get a chance to visit Prague, definitely do this tour.

I was very disappointed with the way that this trip was handled. It was an expensive trip compared to others offering similar experiences. I chose this because the reviews for Michel were great and the experience advertised that he personally would be giving the trip. So I went ahead and booked. The day before my booking, Michal emailed that Peter would be substituting because he had received another booking. Besides feeling tossed aside, I felt it was bait and switch and the trip was falsely advertised. I saw Michal with 2 young women at the site and it seemed clear why I was thrown over to his associate. I did ask for a partial refund, but was ignored. I feel others should be aware of his shady practices before booking with Michal.

Dear Hayley, thank you for your feedback. First of all I’m very sorry about your disappointment about the trip, so far this has never happened. However allow me to say that nowhere in the description of the trip it is advertised that I would be personally giving the trip. Nevertheless I do understand where the confusion might have happened - because most of the reviews are related to me and because of the one picture with me at the tour page. As soon as you booked the trip I contacted you via the Viator chat to sort out details of the tour with you. I sent you three email messages (via the chat), called you, called the hotel and texted you. Never I got any message back. I was not even sure if you were planning on going on the trip.
You booked the trip 3 days before the travel date and I informed you in advance about my 5* rated excellent colleague providing the tour for you. After the trip I even sent you a message, if everything was ok. No response. So sadly this is the first time I hear from you. I would like to strongly reject the accusation that I’m choosing clients I guide based on gender or age (proven by fact that the only information I get by bookings is a name of the leading traveler, often gender-neutral & cell phone number). I guided the other couple because they booked the tour way in advance. Lastly, I have never received any request for a refund of your tour (where did you send your request?).
But I value the satisfaction of clients of my company over all so I would like to offer you not a partial refund you requested but a full refund. I already requested a full refund at Viator to be processed. It is already marked as "refunded" in the system. In case you won't receive it please contact me either via the chat or my number I texted you from. I wish you the best.

Peter was an amazing guide, host and ambassador to Kutna Hora! We had a deliteful day exploring the town and surrounding areas. Started in Sedlec at the Ossuary (bone chapel) and Cathedral. Then a short drive to see St Barbara's Cathedral, had a lovely lunch as a local Czech restaurant and then a stroll through the town of Kutna Hora. Peter provided the background and historical context about what we were seeing which made the trip very memorable!

This was a great trip and well worth the money! My wife and I were in Prague and wanted to do something different and this was it. We have used Viator before for small group/private tours like this and we have never been disappointed. Michal picked us up right on time at our hotel and we drove to Kutna Hora in his clean Mercedes van. We talked with Michal all the way to Kutna Hora (maybe 1.25hrs). Once there, we visited several nearby churches and Michal shared incredible insight and history at each site (other tourist even leaned in to listen to him). His knowledge and ability to highlight important details of the church architecture, history, and local influences on the church and town are the kind of thing that you really only get on this type of tour. The Bone Church itself was very impressive and breathtaking. To our amazement, it was really a respectful act to build the bone church as they did. We then visited two other churches/cathedrals (which were incredible) and then had lunch. We had lunch at a small restaurant in the town of Kutna Hora. The lunch and beer were EXCELLENT and included. We then had a leisurely drive back to our hotel in Prague. What’s great about this trip was the personalization and attention to detail. We were never rushed, pressured, etc. We just had a great time with a great guide. Though you can probably be shuttled in by a bus and quickly left to tour these places on your own, it was a much more impactful and memorable experience to do it this way. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent trip. Kutna Hora itself of course is fascinating. The drive to Kutna Hora and back was very comfortable. Michal is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He really made the day very interesting, covering all the sights, not just the amazing ossuary. Our group ranged from a 14 Yr old to an 80 Yr old. Michal kept the pace of the tour just right for us all. And a delicious included lunch at the end. Heartily recommend this trip.

The trip was first class!
The car was spacious and Michal is a safe driver. The bone church and cathedral were high spots on the trip and Michal’s knowledge of local history is excellent.
The terrace garden lunch was a highlight with authentic local food and beer in a beautiful hillside garden setting .
