we went to the meeting place at 9:30 a.m, earlier in fact; the tour had been cancelled, unbeknowst to us!!
an hour prior, we had received an e-mail from Viator telling us to get ready for the tour!! Still have not received any cancellation notice; I paid in full, in good faith.. very disappointing, I hesitate to book any further tour thru you..

We think there has been some confusion.
According to our records, you did go on our tour on the morning of 17th January with our guide Zach. We didn’t cancel any tours this day.
Also our first tour of the day begins at 10.30 am – we do not operate a 9.30 am tour. For this reason, we believe your review may have been intended for a different company. If another operator has not refunded a cancelled tour, guests can request a refund directly through the Viator platform.
In any case, we hope you enjoyed your visit to Prague.

Our tour guide Mel was great fun. Having settled in the city, I think we got it from he eyes of a convert to living in Prague. She gave great tips on other places to go to eat and to do, well worth it.

It was great.
Lyle knows so much. But if English is not your mother tongue, be aware that he speaks REALLY FAST. Sometimes very difficult to follow. Also, be aware that you will need to give a tip at the end.

Aris was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He had us all laughing and answered any questions, whether they were related to the tour or just about Prague in general. He also advised on other tours, and their meeting points. He also stopped to help a local woman with a broken arm during the tour. A lovely man, we would highly recommend.

Mel gave us an in depth overview of Prague’s history. She covered each segment really well, while keeping it all light (Prague does have some dark history). The pace she maintained was comfortable despite the scorching sun. I really enjoyed this tour. Highly recommended!

Meeting location was in no way accurate. Once we contacted Viator we were unable to get to the location in time. Wasted the morning as we had to wait until 12 to do the tour.

Regarding your comment about free tours as a whole, I think you misunderstood the concept. We let you pay a value you think is fair. This free tour concept is known worldwide. We do not do this because our guides are not professionals, quite the opposite, we allow everyone to join tours, people of any financial background, students, those on a budget, etc. Our tours are designed to entertain and delight, to stray from the old-fashioned guiding style of listing off bullet points with no cultural context.

The walking tour totally surprised me! Mel is a well read and experienced guide, knowledgeable about the history of the iconic places in Old Town, the details of the history of the astronomical clock was astonishing from beginning to end. Her knowledge reflects her passion for sharing the Check history, traditions and culture, she knows every corner like the back of her hand. The history of the Jewish Quarter and Charles Bridge was impressive. I took away a great experience of how she shared with us the Czech culture. I highly recommend her and I am sure she will surprise you. Very good job. I hope to come back soon.

Excellent tour with Seb around Old Town. Was impressed by the amount of information we received and how well the group was handled in the busy streets. One on one Seb answered all our questions and kept the group moving and the tour interesting. Don’t hesitate to book any tour. If we had more time in Prague we would have done another. Consider paying what other tours are charging or more. It was worth it.

Great Walking Tour by the lively and charismatic Paul ( Tall Paul ). He regaled us in his inimitable style to bring the rich history of the Czech Republic to life. His command of the country's history is remarkable given that he isn't a true local.
We went to all the places as advertised and had a wonderful time.
Highly recommended, but hope you get Paul !

Guide was right where he said he would be. Felt he didn’t do a good job on giving enough facts and did too much story telling. Which were way too long. He did a good job on explaining the astronomical clock. Unfortunately there was a pride parade going on so it was difficult to get around and also for the guide to be heard.
