What To Expect

Parc Asterix amusement park sits just 20 miles (30 km) north of Paris, offering a convenient family day trip from the city. With your admission, pickup and drop-off by air-conditioned coach at a central location in Paris are included, so all you have to worry about is having a good time.

When you arrive, you have your choice of more than 30 open-air rides and other attractions that offer levels of excitement for all ages and tastes. To get your blood pumping, head to the Goudurix roller coaster for a head-spinning adventure with seven upside-down loops. Perhaps ride one of the largest wooden coasters in Europe, Tonerre de Zeus, or get wet on Le Grand Splatch river ride.

For little ones, visit several calmer attractions like the carousel, or catch a live show such as the spellbinding Magique Panoramix. Your trip ends with return transport to Paris at the end of the day.

It was awfull. First, we have to walk a long distance to the bus and when we have to return 10 minutes earlier that the hour vfor departure the bus was gone and we have to wait another bus 1 hour.

The transportation situation is an absolute disaster. We were told that the bus would leave at 8:15 and that we should show up 15 minutes beforehand. After much confusion upon arrival at the travel agency office, we were silently led a considerable stretch to an underground bus terminal far from the meeting point found on our itinerary. After sucking bus fumes in the darkened terminal for over 1/2 an hour with a large group of families, I asked our chain-smoking bus driver (who was far removed from our darkened and locked bus) when we were finally leaving, and he replied in the most rude and arrogant manner I've ever encountered. We left at 9:15. After a fantastic day in Parc Asterix, this very same bus driver left the families baking in the sun for over 1/2 hour past the clearly designated leave time of 18:30. When he finally found time to pull up, he managed to insult just about everyone who dared to ask him why he waited so long. He even found the time to tell me that I should go back to England (a country in which I, by the way, do not reside.) That he was still able to smoke so many cigarettes between insults is a minor miracle. I've never complained about anything online, but this man should not be working with foreigners, or people in general for that matter. It wasn't just the driver.The entire run-around from the travel agency is a minor disaster. Clear information, accurate pick-up and leave times and a bit of courtesy would be major improvements. That said, the park deserves 5 stars. It is lovingly conceived and executed. Just PLEASE do something to overhaul the transport arrangements.

Waited at the meeting point for 15 minutes after we were supposed to leave. We were walked to a general bus station and got public transport. With this reason we were very over charged for the trip. There is only one bus in and out and unfortunately you are given too much time for such a small park. We waited for 3 hours before we were picked up by the bus.
