The only good thing about this tour is that it got us to skip the lines to entry. The tour guide seemed like a nice person, but was not an engaging presenter or speaker, and did not stop long enough in front of the places we wanted to really see. The tour started with 18 people. Half of the group had peeled off before we got 45 minutes into the tour. We left soon after, and it was the best decision we made. It's too bad we had to spend $300 to do it.

Laurence had Excellent knowledge, responsible, a lovely person. Always concerned nobody was lost from the group
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hello Sherryl and thank you. With Memories you always know that the expertise has a human face and touch. We care about you and your experience and we are so glad to know that it shows! Your kind words are so appreciated - we'll transmit them to Laurence straightaway!
GARY_D, Apr 2026
The Louvre is massive and often crowded. A guide can make your visit more pleasurable by providing insight and advice.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi Gary. As you saw, the Louvre's labyrinth is no match for a Memories guide. We get you smoothly from one masterpiece to the other, all the can't miss pieces that make the Louvre's worldwide reputation and tell you all the juicy backstory of their whys and wherefores. That insight and advice can mean the difference between post vacay blur and an unforgettable experience. We're so glad you chose to book with us!
afr510, Apr 2026
Our tour guide was excellent. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were very glad to have a guided tour at the Louvre since it is a massive museum. We would not have known all the information without our guide. My only complaint is the time of our tour was changed after I booked it and rescheduled for a later time. That was communicated to me but our tickets which we didn’t use continued to say the original time. We were given a meeting spot but no other info as to who we were looking for. Other than that it was a very good experience.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hello aft510, we would love to look further into this but without a date for your tour or a name to attach it to that is sadly not possible. We can say that on your voucher there is our customer service number open 7/7, and happy to answer any questions you might have. We are so glad you enjoyed your tour of the Louvre - the size alone can give you art-indigestion simply while looking for the Mona Lisa. With a Memories guide you have a friend on the ground who knows the terrain: what you absolutely have to see and how to get there quickly and easily. Thanks so much for the kind words!
Anne_M, Apr 2026
We had a good tour of the Louvre and were able to see the major pieces of artwork. The museum is enormous so any time you can get a guide to take you from place to place, it is a good thing. We didn’t get much history of the different pieces of art but that wasn't what we were looking for. At the end of the ~1.5 to 2 hour tour, we were left to roam on our own. We spent an additional hour in the Napoleon III Apartments which are definitely worth seeing especially if you cannot fit in a visit to Versailles.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hello Anne. Indeed, one of the many upsides of a Memories tour is a guide who knows the Louvre's labyrinth like the back of their hand and can get you exactly where you need to be in the most efficient way possible, and thus avoiding the overwhelm that can come of seeing too much art in too little time, not to speak of the physical fatigue of milling about on marble floors. We are so pleased that you could benefit from our skip the line experience too in order to go make your own favorites, such as the Napoleon III rooms. We do strive to impart the most salient points of each iconic piece that makes the Louvre all that it is, of course since books upon books are written on each of these masterpieces, we must pick and choose. You are always welcome to ask questions of your guide if there is more you'd like to know. That is exactly why we're there. Thanks for booking with us!
Larryandcarolsargent, Apr 2026
Highly recommend this tour, makes viewing the louvre so much easier, skips the long lines, navigates to highlights and gives insight. Such a massive place would be hard to see on your own.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hello Larry and Carol! The Louvre can indeed be an invitation to lose yourself down rabbitholes of corridors and just wander yourself into a blur. That's where we come in! With Memories you not only sail past those lines that eat into precious vacation time, you benefit from the full expertise of an art historian confirmed in the museum's masterpieces - we know just what you can't miss and the quickest way to cut through the endless halls to get there. Thanks so much for joining us - we loved having you!
Charles_S, Mar 2026
Good guide, knowledgeable and friendly . She should have had a flag or deniable marker since it was sometimes hard to see her in the crowd.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hello Charles—we are so glad you enjoyed the Memories tour of the Louvre- our expertise is second to none and we love nothing more than to share it with you! The Louvre has prohibited any kind of flag, umbrella, stick, staff, or other raised object for groups, as it interferes with others’ view and enjoyment of the collections, which we perfectly understand. To counter the issue Memories guides wear distinctive, wide, bright orange lanyards and equally bright, large orange badges so you’re sure to be able to spot your guide at a hundred paces and soak in all the richness of their storytelling and historical knowledge. Thank you so much for the stars!
Sergio_M, Mar 2026
The guy we had for the tour he was amazing and friendly definitely get him as a tour guide because he was just on point 👉 from 1/10 he was a 20
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hello Sergio and thank you so much - we love to hear that we knocked it out of the park, which we aim to do each and every time! We'll be sending your raves on to Stanislas and it will certainly make his day, as it has for all of us here at the Memories family!
Bettina_B, Mar 2026
We loved the tour, well worth the price! Knowledgeable guide, little queueing. Particularly enjoyed the guide's explanations on what makes an artwork become an international "sensation" amongst the many equally masterful pieces. Tech provided was also excellent, always hear your guide talk clearly. Highlights were chosen well and we received great advice and a mapto discover more on our own after the tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you, Bettina, for the superb review which we are so proud to earn. Will send it on to Sophie who will be delighted! It was a pleasure to share the behind the scenes stories of the Louvre collections, the whys and wherefores of these key pieces in the most famous collection in the world. Let's hope our paths cross again!
Victoria_R, Mar 2026
The tour was fast pace, but there is so much to see. Our tour guide was amazing taking us to see the highlight attractions of the Louvre. He was very friendly and we enjoyed hearing him tell us about the exhibitions. I recommend the tour, if you think 2 hours isn’t enough you will have the opportunity to continue to explore on your own once the tour is over. Be prepared to walk a lot.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
A whirlwind romance with the Louvre is just what the doctor ordered if your trip is short, and Memories is here to help. Furthermore, we know the way from showstopper to showstopper by heart, so you walk less than if you were wandering on your own, trying to figure out the maze of corridors and chambers! Stanislas was happy to share their secrets in a whistlestop tour of the masterpieces and we're always delighted to know that you took the time afterward to make your own discoveries and favorites. Thanks so much for booking with us and for this fantastic review!
Lindsey_H, Oct 2025
Great tour of the Louvre. Julie was easy to locate at the beginning. She did a great job educating us on the history of the Louvre and some of the most famous sculptures and paintings. Small group is the way to go!
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you, Lindsey! At Memories we make every effort to provide a stress free experience in the runup to your tour so that you can just soak in the wonders of the Louvre. A small group is indeed ideal, and we encourage others to consider that option but are just as dedicated to providing a top notch experience for the larger one as well. Thanks so much for joining us- we loved having you!
Claudette_M, Oct 2025
The guide, Manos, who met us at the meeting point in Paris, was very organized and helpful at explaining to everyone the train travel to Versailles and how to return to Paris after the tour. Our guide, Mathieu, who took over for the tour of Versailles and the gardens, was very knowledgeable, easy to follow and interesting. We were very pleased with this tour.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
We love to offer the Versailles experience of an escort who can take the stress out of navigating the suburban trains out to the palace which are tricky even for locals. That leaves you free to soak in the splendor with a guide like Mathieu who can give you a perspective that makes all that over the top opulence make sense to modern eye, and make its history come alive for you. We are delighted at your praise which we'll certainly be passing on to Manos and Mathieu!
Terri_D, Sep 2025
Our guide, Matt, was excellent. He was super informative but also very funny and kind. Would highly recommend!
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We pride ourselves on the excellence of both what we present and those who offer their expertise in doing so. Matt is indeed a fine exemplar of allwe have to offer and we will be sending him your kind words directly; Thank you!
Jeffrey_B, Sep 2025
The Louvre is really crowded , our guide was fantastic getting us to the main exhibits ! His commentary was very good and fun! We stayed after the tour and visited other areas .
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We love sailing right past those lines that eat into your precious vacation time and straight to the stars of the show that you've come to see! Art is a blast when done right with guides like Emanuele - good thinking staying after and making your own favorites. Thanks so much for an outstanding review!
Molly_S, Sep 2025
Paris was on strike, so our tour was delayed two hours, but our guide made the best of it. Tour guide was effecient at showing us the highlights.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We so wish we could even think of something more we could have done, but strikes are unfortunately outside of any influence we might have to sort things. We did however hold true to our committment to you, despite the imposed delay, guaranteeing a quality discovery of the Louvre's highlights even in the most trying of circumstances for all of us. Thank you so much for choosing Memories
Pamela_F, Sep 2025
Tour was led by a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. We enjoyed the tour very much but wish it had been just a bit longer with more paintings.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hello Pamela, we do list the tour as showing you the Louvre's highlights in an hour and a half, which across 403 rooms, and 8.5 miles of corridor, means that the guide must make hard choices as to what to include. We do show you the pieces that make the Louvre the Louvre: which includes such works as the Victory of Samothrace, the Mona Lisa, The Venus de Milo, Liberty Leading the People, and more, while stopping off to see some lesser known gems en route from one to another of the masterpieces. We do offer a custom tailored tour for those who want more than we can address in the time given. Perhaps we'll see you on one of these? We hope so!
Tania_O, Sep 2025
I had a great time on the tour. The guide was wonderful, she was upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. She did a great job keeping the tour moving.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hello, Tania! We just love skipping lines for you and sailing you through those halls straight to the Louvre's Best-Of, not forgetting the discovery of lesser known gems along the way. Thank you so much for choosing to explore the greatest museum ever with Memories!
Leisha_H, Aug 2025
Such an experienced tour guide! My daughter who went to Italy this summer said it was best tour guide she has ever had. Well worth seeing and having someone who knows all the stories to bring what you’re seeing extra special.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hello Leisha! We are so pleased to have served you and your daughter with an extra special whistlestop Louvre tour - we are proud to have earned such high praise, and thank you for this amazing review. We're so glad that you chose to book with Memories to learn all the lore of the Louvre!
Heidi_V, Aug 2025
Smooth tour that was just right to see some of the highlights. recommended if 2 hours on your feet is enough.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hello Heidi, and thank you - we pride ourselves on just how smooth we are! It's a pleasure to save your feet the line waiting for tickets too, so you can spend your energy more wisely with the works of art. Thanks so much for the kind words and for choosing to explore the Louvre with us!
Sana_B, Aug 2025
This was a very helpful tour in the sense that it helps you skip the line and also to get the chance to visit the louvre when the regular tickets are all sold out days in advance.
Very nice tour guide and nice, helpful information provided about the rooms we visited and now we can navigate the museum on our own.
One thing to keep in mind is that the tour is very limited to certain section of the museum that might not be the one you’re interested in and you’ll have to continue to explore on your own!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We love when our guests reserve a morning tour, confident that they'll be so enthralled with the museum's collections after the tour, that they'll go on on their own, like you did, to discover their own personal masterpieces and favorites. Thanks for letting us know that we hit a home run, even if we can't really cover the eight miles of galleries and corridors that make up the Louvre!
Basil_K, Aug 2025
The tour is Well organized and smooth tour. Very informative and the tour guide excellent. Highly recommended.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Our organization is a point of honor with us, and to make sure everything runs smoothly so that you can soak in the iconic paintings and sculptures that the Louvre is world famous for. Thanks so much for the kind words!
Azza_H, Aug 2025
The duration of the tour is just perfect. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and efficient. We got to see special parts like the basement which we probably would have missed if we were on our own. The size of the group is also good. It’s a good way to do the Louvre especially if it’s your first time or you have a teenager who will not last long in there.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
With our secret sauce storytelling we are confident that we can captivate even the most recalcitrant teen - thanks so much for the kind words and high recommendation, it means the world!
Sarah_M, Aug 2025
Amazing tour guide!!! He was happy and excited to share his knowledge with us. Thank you so much! We really enjoyed the tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hello Sarah, and thank YOU, rather! We so loved leading your Louvre expedition and getting to show you the very reasons for it being the world's premiere museum!
Shawn_L, Aug 2025
Perfect amount of time. Our guide was fantastic. Interesting and personable. She showed us the top pieces/exhibits. Made the visit so enjoyable.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hello, Shawn, a whistle top tour of the Louvre's headliners is just the thing, we agree! and we'll take "perfect" any day of the week. Thank so much for taking the time out to leave such kind words and all the stars, and for booking with Memories to begin with!
Amy_J, Aug 2025
Claire was an amazing guide and made this highlight tour so fun. We saw things we had never seen before with her great descriptions of art and enjoyed every minute!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Who knew that art history could be such a blast? We did, and now you do too! It's our pleasure to show you not only the Louvre's headliners in a whirlwind tour but also to show you unsuspected masterpieces hidden in out of the way places that you might not otherwise have seen. Thanks so much for the stellar review - we'll be passing it on to Claire, directly!
Joan_W, Aug 2025
No waiting in line to enter. Our tour guide was very informative, giving interesting details on each exhibit. Easy paced tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We love to whisk you past those lines, past the mazes of hallways, and get right to the heart of the Louvre, the key pieces of the collections that are the reason you came. The Memories family thanks you so much for choosing us to lead your expedition!
pcramer1950, Aug 2025
I had seen the museum before, so this really wasn’t too much different. I don’t remember going down to the basement and seeing the base of the palace before though it’s so pretty nice.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Among the many upsides of booking with Memories is not just skipping the horrendous lines, but to go with an experienced and highly trained guide who can cut through the wild crowds and maze of corridors to get you right where you wanted to go. They show you lesser known masterpieces on the way and then let you in on all the secrets of the stars of the Louvre show, why they're iconic and how they got to be so. We do hope you enjoyed all the wealth of benefits we have to offer, and thank you for the warm review.
Laurie_B, Aug 2025
Very informative if you have never been to the Louvre. No waiting in line and our guide Anthony was great!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We whisk you straight past all those horrid lines that eat into precious vacation time - and then without a care in the world take you to the highlights, a whistlestop tour of the world's biggest museum, taking you through the maze of corridors straight to what you've come to see. Thank you so much for booking with Memories - Anthony will be so pleased at your kind words!
Sandra_D, Jul 2025
John was an excellent guide and sooooo knowledgeable! Provided a lot of historical context to all of the pieces and paintings we viewed. Would definitely recommend to anyone who would like a relatively quick visit to hit all the must sees!
Response from Host, Jul 2025
We leave no stone unturned in seeking to give you the best experience possible of the Louvre and its headliners, while not forgetting some hidden gems while heading from masterpiece to masterpiece. We so appreciate your kind words and your booking with us - John will be delighted, thank you!
Pamela_T, Jul 2025
The tour leader was affable, informative and humorous. He obviously loves his job and is very patient with slow moving tourists.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you so much for the warm review! The Louvre is just an invitation to overwhelm without a trained expert guide to show you around, and we're your friends on the ground, ready and happy to do so. Thanks so much for booking with the Memories family!
