Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, especially about Jewish history in the Marais. We loved how she personalized the tour, frequently asking us questions and building on our responses rather than simply giving a lecture. We also ended up having the tour entirely to ourselves, which made it feel especially personal. Our only wish was for more focus on LGBT history, though that may have been partly due to a miscommunication. Overall, a very engaging and memorable experience!

The guide was very knowledgeable but long winded. I wish we would have seen more sites and stayed on topic.

I was disappointed . She told a few stories about some homes. It was a very hot day. I really wanted to see synagogues. It was at end of tour I didn’t feel well so I left. Hard for me to understand with her accent. Hard of hearing with the speaker. I wanted to see

For clarification:
1. You booked Le Marais/ Paris Regular , not Private tour- for 2 persons. One of the person did not show up.
You demanded , at the beginning of the tour, to be refund fully the absent person.
Note: in the Viator cancellation policy there is the indication that cancellation has to be done 24hours before the time of the tour, hence the absent person booking is not refund
2. ' She told some stories about some homes"
Note: You visited not homes , but 15th century historic monument and the Memorial of Shoah as well .
3.' I really wanted to see syngogues'
Note: In my itinerary description is not mentioned visiting synagoges. Synagoges in le Marais/ Paris are not opened for tourists.
4. I have visitors from all over the world in my tours., different social back grounds, religion, confession, color, language, ages, accents, etc
Note: Le Marais/ Paris tour is not a cofessional/ religion one, but a French cultural tour: architecture, history, art, gastronomy , culture of the past and present life , including the Jewish settlement history.
5. At the begining of the tour, you mentioned your wearing hearing divices on both ears.
Note; I offered headphones to you, as I do to all my visitors. You did not complain one second during 1 hour and 30 minute Le Marais/ Paris tour of' not ' understanding my accent' though.
I sincerely regret that after 1 .30 h Le Marais/ Paris tour , under 36 C / 100 F you were not satisfied about the tour, in spite of my doing the best to Insist upon Jewish settlement history , to meet your special interest.

Tour guide Jill, was a wonderfull teller of historical facts in the area. She took us back and forth time in and was a wealth of colourfully descriptive knowledge explaining different periods of time in Marais. Fascinating tour. Highly recommend.

We had a a fabulous tour of the Marais with Jill. She took us to many “hidden gems” and gave us interesting historical details. She clearly has a passion for what she does. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris.

I’ve taken maybe 50 tours over the years, and I can say without hesitation that JIll is one the very best guides ever. On the day of our tour, she had a handful of last minute cancellations. The result was that I was the only person on this tour. Jill certainly could have taken the easy way out, and “called in sick”, but she traveled from across town to keep our appointment. This speaks volumes to her character. My hotel was in the Marais, and I had been there two days already, but Jill took me to spots that I never would have found on my own. Once in these locations, she would talk about the present and the past…. Which I loved hearing about. She allowed me to interrupt with questions, and she could not be stumped!!! A real history buff. I would also add that of all the walking tours I took on this trip, she was the only guide that provided portable headsets. This was not needed for our one on one tour, but if you are walking single file in a group of 8 down very crowded Paris streets, these headsets come in very handy, You’ll love this charming lady and learn a lot!!

Jill was our tour guide of the Le Marais Paris district. It was an an excellent, informative walking tour. Jill started off by asking us why we were taking this tour and what we were interested in and then she proceeded to show us all of that and more! She gave us the history of Le Marais from the Roman conquered Paris, when the Jewish settlers started to arrive and their life here, the French Revolution, and then the dark times of the Nazi occupation. She took us to secret courtyards. We saw buildings that were hundreds of years old. It was fascinating and we appreciate her knowledge and sharing so many details with us. She also included the
LGBTQ history in this trendy and upbeat area.
My husband, who is in historian, and Iwould highly recommend this walking tour to anyone interested in Jewish history Le Marais (which is what we asked for) and there was so much more!
We loved learning about the vibrant Le Marais community!

We spent a lovely morning with Jill exploring Les Marais. The rain didn't dampen our experience Jill was very engaging, very knowledgeable and very passionate, we fell in love with this little sector of Paris. Great Guide, Jill, who was high energy, knowledgeable and fun. The subject matter was interesting but she gave it life. It was very cold but in spite of that she made the trip so meaningful that you forgot the cold. She even brought each of us a Christmas cookie.

Jillian is highly informed about the location and is quite thorough and generous. At the onset, she discusses your expectations of the tour and then follows through. We learned, we laughed and we cried. A most memorable experience for our last full day of a week's stay in Paris.

The area of La Marais was one of our favorite parts of Paris. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the history of France; she really took extra time to explain La Marais’s connection to everything such as the monarchy, world war 2, and the Jewish immigration to the area. So interesting!!!
