I’ve taken maybe 50 tours over the years, and I can say without hesitation that JIll is one the very best guides ever. On the day of our tour, she had a handful of last minute cancellations. The result was that I was the only person on this tour. Jill certainly could have taken the easy way out, and “called in sick”, but she traveled from across town to keep our appointment. This speaks volumes to her character. My hotel was in the Marais, and I had been there two days already, but Jill took me to spots that I never would have found on my own. Once in these locations, she would talk about the present and the past…. Which I loved hearing about. She allowed me to interrupt with questions, and she could not be stumped!!! A real history buff. I would also add that of all the walking tours I took on this trip, she was the only guide that provided portable headsets. This was not needed for our one on one tour, but if you are walking single file in a group of 8 down very crowded Paris streets, these headsets come in very handy, You’ll love this charming lady and learn a lot!!

Jill was our tour guide of the Le Marais Paris district. It was an an excellent, informative walking tour. Jill started off by asking us why we were taking this tour and what we were interested in and then she proceeded to show us all of that and more! She gave us the history of Le Marais from the Roman conquered Paris, when the Jewish settlers started to arrive and their life here, the French Revolution, and then the dark times of the Nazi occupation. She took us to secret courtyards. We saw buildings that were hundreds of years old. It was fascinating and we appreciate her knowledge and sharing so many details with us. She also included the
LGBTQ history in this trendy and upbeat area.
My husband, who is in historian, and Iwould highly recommend this walking tour to anyone interested in Jewish history Le Marais (which is what we asked for) and there was so much more!
We loved learning about the vibrant Le Marais community!

We spent a lovely morning with Jill exploring Les Marais. The rain didn't dampen our experience Jill was very engaging, very knowledgeable and very passionate, we fell in love with this little sector of Paris. Great Guide, Jill, who was high energy, knowledgeable and fun. The subject matter was interesting but she gave it life. It was very cold but in spite of that she made the trip so meaningful that you forgot the cold. She even brought each of us a Christmas cookie.

Jillian is highly informed about the location and is quite thorough and generous. At the onset, she discusses your expectations of the tour and then follows through. We learned, we laughed and we cried. A most memorable experience for our last full day of a week's stay in Paris.
I would have bypassed some of our other activities if I knew Jillian's availability. She is a gem !

Tour guide was excellent. She was thorough and knowledgeable in the area of The Marais including the Jewish and Gay quarters. The area of La Marais was one of our favorite parts of Paris. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the history of France; she really took extra time to explain La Marais’s connection to everything such as the monarchy, world war 2, and the Jewish immigration to the area. So interesting!!!

Our tour guide Eric was lovely and a fount of information about all things Marais -- and of Paris and more. He managed to teach us about the French kings and revolutions and establishment of the Republic by tying the tour to so many historic events while also highlighting the best sights and tastes in the Marais. We spent just half a day in that section of the city but could have spent days, between the shopping and the great variety of foods -- falafel! pastries! crepes! traditional French fare! -- and museums and architecture. We had a great time exploring with Eric and on our own with Eric's suggestions in mind. Our tour was a great introduction. We definitely will return.

The guide didn’t show up or respond to messages. Wasted hours of my trip to be at the meeting place, search for a non existent guide and try to get support. Neither Viator nor the tour operator is concerned at this complete failure of their services. Such a letdown!

Really travel through the Marais. Lots of information and lots of history. The French have thousands of years of history, so there is no way to cover it all. Jill curated a unique experience for us.
