Rude and nasty behavior- don’t use this company

We booked a private transfer with Viator from Naples airport to the hotel. Our flight from the US was cancelled and created a nightmare for us. As soon as I found out I texted and messaged the tour operator to let them know. Then cancelled in Viator. I asked the tour operator if we could transfer a credit to a different arrival day - though I hadn’t even been able to rebook my flight yet. They had plenty of notice and this didn’t affect their driver at all. Their response was that they saw our flight wasn’t cancelled and therefore the booking was still on. Outrageous! They were rude and unhelpful and unapologetic. They refused to do anything- no money back, no transferring the pickup to a different day - nothing. When I stated that I was upset about this and would be sure to tell Marriott and Viator about the experience we had with World Tours then they said they were sorry for our experience and they knew it wasn’t our fault however Viator policy was the problem. Do not book with Viator and certainly do not use World Tours for your pickup. They could have apologized for our experience right away and I’m quite sure they could have done something. Instead they chose to be nasty.

Dear Customer, We are sorry for your bad experience and the unfortunate situation that occurred. Unfortunately, we are only the suppliers and are not bound by Viator's rules. If Viator could not allow you to change your date, unfortunately, there was nothing we could do. We are always very understanding with our guests because we know that unforeseen events can happen, but unfortunately, if you were outside the cancellation window and there was no possibility to change the reservation, we couldn't do anything differently.

Excellent Service with Fantastic Driver

Our driver Victor (not sure of his Italian name—Vittorio?) was fantastic. He was on time and waiting in the arrival area with a sign. He was friendly, spoke good English, and helped us with our suitcases. Our connecting flight from Munich to Naples was delayed and I let the tour operator our new expected arrival time in NAP; I also informed them the number of suitcases and persona items we had since I was concerned about assigning a car that won’t fill all our bags. To my relief, we were transferred via a mini van. Overall, service was excellent with great communication. I would glad use them again!
