Our guide, Anna, provided so much of the back story behind the many things to see in the old town of Munich. Even the places we had seen in earlier explorations gave us a much higher level of appreciation. Anna was engaging and considerate of all our requests. She took us to places well known to locals but would be missed by visitors. Things worth buying and things way overpriced. Our 4 hour tour was over before we knew it and we certainly got our money’s worth. Thank you Anna.

In the description it says that "After booking, you can adjust the meeting point to fit your preferences", however when we booked the tour, the guide refused to customize our meeting point and didn't even explain why. At the same time we received an email from the company stating that the guide will meet us at the hotel. And then another email from the company confirming meeting at our hotel. That was all very confusing. We were not sure if the guide will come to our hotel after all or not, will the tour happen tomorrow or not. Should we plan something else or wait for third confirmation? When we asked the guide (direct quote) "why do you say one thing and your company says another thing?", the guide canceled the tour and wrote us that we are being aggressive and rude, and we should be more polite. Not sure what was rude and aggressive about this message, but whatever.
The whole experience dealing with this company was a waste of time. If you want a smooth vacation with a friendly service from the guide, look elsewhere.

We were confirmed for a private Munich History tour at 2pm. We showed up at the meeting place and NO Tour guide. Called Viator and she said guide cancelled. Seriously they had my phone number as well as my email absolutely no communication! This was our only day in Munich if we were notified earlier in the day we could have made other sight seeing plans.

What a great time we had with Camilla, our guide for the afternoon. Camilla was not only very friendly and a great conversationalist, but also very knowledgeable about the city. Franz was an exceptional guide. He spoke excellent English and quickly realized that our pace was a bit slower then most. He adjusted beautifully and we still managed to see many beautiful sights and learn so much about the history of Germany, Munich, the war and religion. Upon completion of our tour he recommended a place for dinner, took us there and waited for us to be seated. It too was exceptional! It was our first day in Munich after flying overnight and we are so glad we had this wonderful overview of beautiful Munich. Sandra was very informative and knows her history. She has only lived in Munich for 3 years and already has gained a lot of knowledge on the City. She had a plan of everything she wanted to show us and did a great job explaining everything. Our tour went into the evening and she had many photos to go with the stories of the history that occurred in many of the locations.

This was a pleasant time. The guide we had was a really sweet girl. She tried her very hardest to keep us engaged and interested. It was a difficult for her because much of the city was cut off due to Oktoberfest parades and she was not prepared for that. Understand that you are with a local, not a tour guide. The benefit is that you can tweak as you go to make sure the experience is your own! In retrospect, I would have requested someone more in common with mine and my husbands ages. Our tour guide was 19 and so couldn't provide the recommendations for restaurants, bars, etc and insight that I had hoped, but next time I will just request someone older. Let me reiterate, our guide was so eager to please us and tried really hard. She was ontime and flexible.
