My two friends and myself were in Germany for Oktoberfest and decided to do some exploration outside of the festive grounds. We booked this before hand and afterwards did not feel it was worth the money. The experience is decent. You get a good amount of beer for the money and there was some craft lagers, IPAs and wheats and our tour guide, Josh, was good and providing details but overall it was disappointing for the price.
Pros:
* Good amount of different beer.
* A snack
* A decent amount of walking (maybe 1.5 miles)
Cons:
* The tour guide was a bit rude in questions and condescending. Several others in the group agreed with us that the atittude was not great. He made remarks about Oktoberfest in a negative way and talked down about it.
Overall, we wouldnt recommend unless american craft beer is your thing and you prioritize that over something more inclusive and culturally immersive (it was all about american beer in germany).

That said, we’re sorry to hear that the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and are always looking to ensure every guest feels they’ve had a great experience with us.
We’d like to gently clarify a few points from your review. Our tour is not at all focused on American craft beer — in fact, only one of the beers we serve is in an IPA style, and even that one is brewed right here in Munich by a small, independent German brewery. The rest of the beers you tasted are all locally crafted in Munich or Bavaria by family-owned and independent German/Bavarian microbreweries. So while the IPA may have reminded you of American craft beer, the tour itself highlights Munich’s own evolving, homegrown craft scene.
The purpose of our tour is to show guests a side of Munich beer culture that goes beyond the big Oktoberfest tents and the six major breweries featured in every guidebook. Munich’s beer story doesn’t end with Weissbier and Helles — it’s a living, evolving tradition shaped by local creativity and innovation. We understand that some travelers prefer the classic, tourist-oriented beer experience, and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. But our tour is intentionally designed for those who want to explore Munich more deeply — beyond stereotypes and into the city’s authentic, modern beer culture.
We’re sorry if the guide’s tone came across differently than intended. We’ll share your feedback with our team to make sure every guest feels welcome and enjoys the experience. That said, all other reviews from guests who joined this very same tour have been consistently stellar and five-star, which makes this feedback particularly surprising. Nevertheless, we truly value hearing different perspectives, as they help us keep refining what we do.

Fantastic experience with a top notch host who understands beer extremely well and has a passion for the Munich craft beer scene. Alberto was a consummate host who guided our small group through off the beaten path beer spots. A great experience for anyone who enjoys beer generally and a must for a beer geek!

Alberto was a fantastic tour guide. We spent most of our time at the BrewsLi brewery where he went over the brewing process and some of the local history. We tried several different beers and talked about how and why each one was different. We got to handle some malts and hops and see the different levels the malts can be toasted to create different flavors in the beer. It was both educational and entertaining, even to the people in our party who were not big beer drinkers. Shout out to BrewsLi who were great hosts. In an area steeped in brewing tradition, they are making great strides to bring some variety to the Munich beer scene. This place felt very much like an American brewery experience. Plenty of options, relaxed atmosphere, good music. Will visit again if I’m ever back in Munich.

Micro brewery - Brew Li! Enjoyed the ambiance, brew varieties, and meeting the owner. Nice, quiet neighborhood though we went on a Sunday. Bier kiosk bread the river and park. Last stop was the last Franconia beer pub in Munich. Enjoyed this very smoky beer.
Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, gave us lots of recommendations of what to do in Munich. Spoke Italian, Spanish and English.

We had a fantastic time on this tour! Our guide, Alberto, was very knowledgeable, personable, and kind. At each stop he explained the brewing process and gave some history about each place as well.
In addition gave some recommendations on local beer gardens and places to visit or see.

The guide was amazing, he made the tour chill and interesting. We didn't get to experience the whole tour because the date and time changes from one day to the next, but the guide made sure we still got the tickets worth.
If dates get changed in the future I hope the company takes care of the costumer right away.

This tour certainly over delivered on our expectations. Our tour consisted of a fantastic guide leading our small group (six people) to the best small craft breweries Munich has to offer. Each brewery offered fun atmospheres which complimented their tastings. Our local guide Alberto was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and focused on ensuring everyone had a great time. You could tell he was just as excited to take us on our tour as we were to be there. An amazing experience and the perfect way for us to kick off our Oktoberfest experience.
